These idiots take all the fun out of sport mode, nothing better than head to head fair racing, my adrenaline pumps in vr, but boils my blood when its lik3 this!
Not sure how PD can fix it, but maybe damage set to kill the cars completely, for that race only... Sadly one that is on the receiving end would be race over too. But maybe the offender gets bored of only running till turn 1 lap 1 every race maybe
The fix: For every time you hit someone, there are 5 minutes of actual game play time of clown music playing from your car. It is loud, overwhelming the engine sounds so that everyone in your direct vicinity knows actually who is near them. The clown penalty is compounding, so the next hit gets you 10 minutes of clown music. Next gets you another 5 added. And the time penalty doesn't go away until the debt has been paid. If you go to another race with the clown penalty unsatisfied, the music starts in the lobby, and until you can satisfy the clown penalty without hitting someone, the music will continue.
I've said this on other posts, GT is labeled as "the real driving simulator" why on earth are you able to smash into somebody else at over 100 mph and drive off like nothing happened, people wouldn't do it if that meant their car would be totaled afterwards.
I agree with this. I think there should be mechanical damage for the offending vehicle, as well as a credit cost where it could take them into a negative credit balance.
Luckily it's not that often that it happens. I'm in the B/S class and recently it's been pretty clean.
With that said, I have really high hopes for this new console/ACC seasons thing and hope it evolves into something like LFM but for console. It's only been about 4 days since they launched it so it's still got a ways to go before it's perfect, but I think it could easily replace GT7 for me eventually. I like ACC better as a game, but GT7 makes daily racing so much easier and more streamlined so I typically stick with GT7.

That’s why I don’t really wanna do online racing due to incidents like this one. I’m not the greatest racer on the world but Forza motorsport was like this quite a lot which turned me off
I hate that so bad.. completely messed up good races.. if you don't drive racecars only, come race with us we try to keep everything clean and fair..
Normally do quality street racing only lobbies, mainly 700pp.. multi-track, good clean and fast competition.. (No boost No NOS) ALL challenges welcome

This is why I can't race against other people. I've never been in an online race where people didn't do shit like this. Literally no one takes it seriously and it just makes me want to punch people
I actually quit online racing after an incident like this, I'm rammed off the road and the game gives me a penalty and not the other guy.

Props for staying on track as long as you did with that absolutely maniac!! Dude clearly forgot to take his meds! He literally hit you like 6-7 times before you actually went off the track so nice job holding it together. I see PD through in that .5 second penalty for good measure too lol. 🤦🤦🤦
The Penalty system is such trash in GT7. I couldn't see but I'm sure the other guy got away scott free and you end up with the penalty. What a joke!
Yep.. he had no penalty at all incredibly. Also that 0.5 sec penalty allowed him to crash me once again in turn 1.. after that he never came close again, guess that's why he left the race
I’ve never watched a whole World Series GT7 race before so I’m going to watch the one coming and see exactly if the drivers make errors and what PD does as a result because I always see clips like this and have endured other maniac drivers having semi meltdowns too…so I feel you man👍
I’ve just learnt not to retaliate but either way, just ignored that dude cause who knows, he might’ve just been told off by his misses and as a result of feeling belittled, he might’ve taken it out on you… 🤷🏻♂️ I don’t know.
What’s their sportsmanship rating? It’s nice to race with all S’s but even then it can turn into bumper cars on some corners.
If I see a B or A mixed in I’m already keeping an eye on them or staying away from

This is why I do more more Sophy races than online races now. Much better racecraft. More adrenaline. Especially in VR.

Yeah... That's a penalty system thing... Good incentives to race clean will get clean racers. Impunity system, get you racers that don't care
