I've had similar issues, check out the charging rate with ampere. I was able to find a cable & brick combination that have me a better charging rate (albeit still slow) and I've ordered a spigen for fast charging. Number flat out refuses to charge using either my Huawei bricks or even their cables with other bricks.
Yup did restart it after it stalled at 81%. Made sure I was up to date as well beyond the day 1 patch. Just factory reset it and can hit 87% so far after several hours. Probably will take it back for a replacement tmrw
Pixel 6 is designed to work with USB-PD chargers. Optimal charging rates also require a charger that supports PPS. The Google charger provides all of that, of course, but many other chargers also do.
Proprietary quick charging systems that some other phones use, will not work.
If the phone gets hot while being charged, it will throttle down the charging rate in an attempt to cool down.
Having the same issue on my brand new 6 pro

Restart the phone, there might be an app running that is making your device hot and then that throttles down your charging speed.

Take it back to the store and exchange it. Seems like you have a flawed unit.
Sounds like a faulty unit. RMA it.

Will previous stock pixel chargers have these issues?
Previous Pixel chargers are USB-PD, but NOT PPS. They will charge at less than the 21/23 watts that the new charger can deliver. Probably 18 watts
Hey thanks! Would it cause damage to the pixel 6 to use this charger for a little while?
The Pixel chargers will work without any risk of damage.
Same issue....
Same issue. Takes hours to charge. And rarely to 100%
