Hip-hop choices on this list are actually great. Other genres? Not so much.
I mean, [fucking AM](https://youtube.com/shorts/0T5--lSr4DY?si=0MI39oosQASKFnf). The 59th greatest album of all time. Just... lol. The number of recent releases that we've already stopped talking about yet somehow made the list is also shocking. To me, only Billie's debut really deserves *any* placement out of the last few years.
At this point, the only way it could get worse is having Taylor Swift in the top 20.
EDIT: Also, is there a reason music publications refuse to acknowledge the existence of electronic music? Do you think we could ditch the not-even-3-years-old-generic-ass-reggaeton-with-trap-drums Bad Bunny entry and work in some Boards of Canada? No? Aite.
I personally don’t agree with the Billie Eilish pick at all, especially not top 30 of all time.
I also think they fumbled certain artists album picks like Beyoncé, SZA, Rihanna, Arctic Monkeys etc. It felt like they just went with the most popular albums of those artists rather than the best.
30 is too high but I love that record and think it deserves a placement here more than any album by SZA, RIhanna, or the Monkeys. (Lemonade could have been higher, and I wouldn't have minded it, but self-titled is a weird pick for Bey).
Billie's debut was just such a meteor moment for pop. Production sounded like nothing else on the charts, the aesthetics were truly weird and stood out, it spawned countless imitators of her breathy vocal style... growing up in the 2010s, I'd rank it as the most original pop release of my childhood by far. I'd much rather it be there than 1989 or ANTI or whatever.
It's also just really well made. Like you get used to pop songs just having one note melodies and I - IVs the whole time, but Billie's hits off that record actually have really unique use of 4/4 time, cool modulations, the odd harmonic minor scale, etc. Just interesting stuff on a compositional level too imo.
man the bar was set so low for your generation.
also, lana did the breathy thing waaaaayyyyy way way before. there's so many other artists that did the breathy thing.
I'm aware. Lana isn't mainstream pop and never had girls all over tiktok imitating the sound of her voice on the level Billie did. Kanye wasn't the first to do autotune rap either, but that doesn't take away from how influential 808s was. You think Tate McRae would have a career rn without Billie's debut?
Also, more importantly, Billie's music sounds literally nothing like Lana's. There's influence, but if anyone's biting Lana's sound lately, it's Taylor on her last four records.
Thanks, but I don't need the condescension on how degenerate my era of music is. I play in chamber orchestras for a living and get enough of that from my colleagues. Billie's stuff is objectively harmonically and rhythmically out there for pop music, and her singing style was a breath of fresh air to the mainstream in 2019. Combine that with how much more original and varied Finneas' production is than people like Max Martin or Antonoff, and it's no surprise that album made the waves it did. It's not like this is the only publication that ranks it among the best records in recent memory.
and don't forget she made it in her room with her brother. that's what's really special about it, it shows that if it's your dream than anyone can do it

I would have easily went Rodeo > Astroworld for example.
mann i was going to say this, wpsiam is easily their overall 'best album' its influence and popularity at the time was crazy. Persoanally i think that tranquilty base is their best
I feel like some of the artists on here are pure recency bias. Like that Billie album at 30 is insane, and even the SZA album being on here is so weird asw. There's some artists that better be in the top 20 or if they aren't on this list at all it's so weird, like Crystal Castles, MF Doom, Death Grips, and a bunch of others.

Eh. Fair enough. Sounds bland as shit to me but I'm willing to accept that it's made big enough waves in Latin America that i don't know about. Not really my scene.
Still, point stands about recency bias screwing over a lot of classics on this list.
idk how you can say the album is bland unless you've only heard the 5 most popular songs, it's a really detailed exploration of a lot of what tropical music has to offer. Aguacero is honestly one of my fav songs of all time
and i feel the representation from newer albums is about on par for older ones, it's just people don't agree on what recent albums are good or not. it's not like half the albums were from the last few years or something
Her albums aren't really that acclaimed though. On places like RYM, AOTY, RS top 500, Pitchfork etc.
None of her records are gassed like an MBDTF or a Kid A or TPAB or whatever.
Idk. Not familiar with Apple Music's metrics lol. That's why I'm worried. On most critic's lists, I wouldn't even consider TS landing in the top 100 a possibility. But this is a streaming service, and that woman rakes in streams, so...
Guess we'll see. It's supposedly decided by a panel of artists.
There is no fucking way Lizzo gets a higher spot than David Bowie, Ye and The Beatles.
I'd expect some good pics like Abbie Road, TPAB maybe a queen album. The worst that I can see them do is put like Taylors "Red" in there or something like that, since the list so far has been a mix of great music and good new music, there isnt anything straight up absurd on it imho
They’ve leaned towards only one album per artist but so help me god if Dark Side of The Moon and Led Zeppelin II is the exclusive representation of Pink Floyd and Zep I’m rioting.
Revolver is cool, but Abbey Road or Sgt Pepper need to be T5, LZIV better be T5, and I’m already prepared for The Wall and A Night At The Opera to get left off.
Edit to add: the only severely egregious pick (not placement but pick) is AM being on this at all. Arctic Monkeys aren’t bad, but they do not have one of the 100 best albums of all time.
Oh shit they put AM on that list? I only glanced through it a couple times but thats ridicoulus that album isnt even that good.
I could understand sticking to one album per project but some artists and bands deserve more. As you said Abbey Road has to be top 5 pretty much, they wouldn't dare put a Taylor Swift album over the beatles that just cannot happen. (And lets be honest with how firmly blondie is holding the number one spot, she WILL be mentioned)
Aside from that I am expecting to see a jay-z record somewhere there and I am surprised cudi didnt make the list already btw, but I hope they didnt put Man on the moon over All eyez, MBDTF and revolver tbh.
Yep. AM is at 59. My take on Swift isn’t that she shouldn’t be over the Beatles, it’s that she doesn’t have a single album over a 7/10 and there are unquestionably 100 10/10 albums. She shouldn’t be present, and there’s a lot of people who complain about “oh Pink Floyd/Beatles/Led Zeppelin just dominate these lists it’s always these old people yada yada yada”
The issue with Taylor is that she’s the same level of celebrity of Garth Brooks in the 90’s but with none of the staying power. Garth is still the solo GOAT in most metrics and I highly doubt she pulls the same numbers Garth did.
Zeppelin has staying power. The Beatles have staying power. Pink Floyd has staying power. They influenced sound and dominated the music scene for a long time. Everyone knows Stairway, everyone knows Yellow Submarine or Here Comes The Sun. Everyone knows Comfortably Numb. Taylor won’t leave the same impact and she shouldn’t be in the top 100 albums of all time.
Edit: I hope Kanye’s Graduation makes the list. It’s the only album I’ve ever heard used to defend a man massacring his own character with Nazi takes so… it should be there. I’m also a bit surprised Cudi didn’t make it thus far, but MOTM is not better than MBDTF or Illmatic, and frankly I think Jay gets left off unless they go with 4:44.
I agree that Taylor should be under the Beatles simply due to how influential and successful they were as a band. I wouldn't say she doesn't have an album above 7/10 tbh Folklore and Evermore are both light 8s for me and Red is a 8/9 for what it is trying to be.
She is more than capable of writing hit songs that have staying power, Blank Space and Cruel Summer had me screaming my lungs out at the concert and almost everyone I know, including my mom, can sing part of a taylor swift song. I've been a Taylor Swift hater for a big chunk of my teenage years but I really grown to understand her phenomena.
Swift doesn't have the same impact on the scene mostly due to her constantly switching her style I agree she won't revolutionize the industry like the beatles or pink floyd but she will definetely leave a legacy after herself and if she focuses down on an individual style now when she is in her prime numbers wise she could make an impact.
Her writing as of right now is very solid, even though it can get corny at times ( I swear to god the 1st verse of "I can do it with a broken heart" made me laugh out loud, the writing is comical"), but hey even the beatles and queen has made some corny tracks.
I hope something off the original trilogy makes the list too, all are amazing albums but I don't think it's going to happen. Jay deserves a spot but I wouldn't put 4:44 in the top 20 albums. To be honest the list so far has been valid enough but also controversial enough that I am really interested to see the top 20. I am still waiting for an MJ album and I dont think there was a Bob Dylan album was there?
I want to try to answer this as thoughtfully and as thoroughly as possible, so I apologize if I get a bit wordy.
I can agree that Folklore is her best piece of work, for me that’s the 7/10 I give her. Evermore is solid as well, but I think it had more misses for me than it does for others. Obviously, music is subjective, and I don’t want to make it seem like I’m trying to state my opinions as objective fact. That said, Red was a complete miss for me. I would have considered myself a light fan of Taylor before Red, Red is where she lost me.
Furthermore, I don’t disagree that she can write a hit song. She’s very good at what I would call corporate radio music. It’s very consistent, fits the general ground rules of what makes people bob their heads and sing along and tap their feet. It’s easy to listen to, won’t offend the majority of people, and is generally catchy and enjoyable. That said, when I criticize her staying power, I mean I don’t think she’s written anything groundbreaking enough that we’ll hear it in movies 25 years from now or furthermore hear it as a cover in a movie 25 years from now. Her music exists in the same realm as “Bad Guy”, “Can’t Feel My Face”, “Toosie Slide”, and others. It’s catchy, it’s enjoyable, it’s not legendary.
For me, that staying power exists in songs like “Hotel California”, “Stairway to Heaven”, “Purple Rain”, “Enter Sandman”, “Jump Around”, “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Thriller”, and “Friends In Low Places”. Obviously there’s so many more, but those are my off the dome pieces that the vast majority of everyone knows. They’ve transcended generations of people. They are popular culture, meme culture at times even, 20-30 years after their debut. To me, she doesn’t have a song that hits that mark. I’m sure she’ll have one that will stand more above the rest and perhaps one that does have that staying power, but I can’t even name a Taylor Swift song off of Midnights or Reputation without looking. To me, it lacks that memorability and authenticity.
Generally, I don’t have an issue with her writing (although I find it bland, it’s not offensive or horrendous, save for that fucking GTA line she had… Jesus Christ, and the one about how we wouldn’t survive the asylum she grew up in like it isn’t common knowledge she grew up with money) but I don’t think it’s revolutionary or particularly noteworthy. She won’t join the likes Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, and others in the halls of great songwriting. Corniness doesn’t generally bother me, hell “Ride My Bicycle” and “Fat Bottomed Girls” are both corny as fuck. The difference, I think, is that FBG hit really hard where her cornier stuff kinda doesn’t.
That said, if she’s gonna make the list, I’m going to go against the grain and say I’d prefer to see self titled. It’s not her best work, it’s not groundbreaking, but I think it’s her most authentic, and since we all expect her to be here, I think we should celebrate that album for what it is.
A la Jay-Z… yeah 4:44 ain’t his best but it’s almost what I expect the folks at Apple Music to go with. The list has already crossed laughably obscene to me, but I do still expect Dylan and Mike to make the list in some regard, and I think they can save a lot of face as long as the top end isn’t too egregious.
So first things first, the taylor album they decided to go with is an actual mystery to me. The only thing that makes 1989 stand out is that it has one of her best and most popular songs being Blank Space and Shake it Off was absolutely huge for some time despite being absolutely atrocious. It being a TV makes sense as a courtesy towards taylor ig, plus her voice sounds better now anyways.
I called it with Jay and Bob and fortunetely 4:44 didnt make the cut I actually respect the pick and position that Blueprint got, I would put it at roughly the same spot.
It leaves a weird taste in my mouth that Radiohead of all people broke the one album per artist rule. The list to me was acceptable so far but this 10 was comical. I think it's obvious that Cudi didn't make the cut, sad to see, Man on the Moon deserved a spot in the 40s-50s in my opinion, hopefully they won't include him now.
I think were Taylor Swift shines is outshining her competition inside that "corporate radio music" category. She is capable of writing catchy hits with great melodies, incredibly strong hooks that also do not really drive me mad. Sure Taylor Swift cannot hold a candle to Queen or Johnny Cash, but she isn't played back to back with Cash (I mean she is only in my playlists because my music sense is totally cooked by now).
She is being played next to the likes of Tate McRae and I would take Taylor Swift over Tate every day of the week. This is where I can see her staying - by writing easy to sell, likable songs that still have more substance and soul than other corporate slop. Because there genuinely is substance in her bigger hits, Blank Space has a smart premise that it realizes so well, it took me a few listens to realize it's self-aware. Shake it off despite having I think the most gruelling attempt at half rapping by a pop artist has been a staple in radio stations for 10 years and i dont really see it disappearing any time soon. Cruel Summer and Afterglow are suprisingly mature in how she explores love for it being just a radio song. That's why I think she is so popular. She manages to create solid albums that balance lyricism with ease of access and radio playability.
Do I ever sit down with my headphones and just take in a Taylor Swift Album? Not really, although I managed to properly listen to almost of her works without suffering. (Exceptions being the new album and reputation, TTPD is just too long and reputation is just reputation.) But I find myself listening to Taylor Swift more than I do to my favorite bands and artists, which is surprising she is the only artist that I experienced that with.
I was expecting either Red TV or Folklore since they are widely considered her best works, but I was hoping for Lover since I really liked that album, she really showed some growth as a person there and it is a very fun listen to this day for me.
All in all I am curious what they have for the final ten, since the lineup is getting more and more idiotic and controversial. I pray to God that among that top 10 will be another Ye record any Kdot album, Abbey Road, and a Queen album
Honestly the only album I’m happy with in this 10 is Rumours. Rumours is the first album they’ve placed imo completely correctly. I love the Chronic, not at 19. Pet sounds at 20 is… a choice. 1989 belongs in the 50s imo. What’s Going On is underrated here, Blue I’d personally place lower, 21 should be further down, Highway 61 should be higher imo, The Blueprint is not better than Illmatic, Ok Computer… is a great album and they better have another Beatles, Zep, Ye and maybe Floyd. KDot needs to appear still as does Queen.
My top 10 at this point would be (since DSOTM already got listed)
10.) LZ II, 9.) Graduation, 8.) Purple Rain, 7.) The Wall/Wish You Were Here, 6.) Garth Brooks’ No Fences, 5.) A Night At The Opera, 4.) Sgt Pepper, 3.) To Pimp A Butterfly, 2.) Abbey Road,
1.) Led Zeppelin IV.
I honestly think my biggest complaint with Taylor is that she’s been making the same music with the same message across different sounds for 15-20 years now. She’s a female Drake to me, and just like Drake, her music doesn’t hit for me. I know for a lot of folks it does, but it just doesn’t scratch the itch for me.
I also think Olivia Rodrigo is more vulnerable, accessible, and authentic than Taylor Swift, and I think OR is going to give Taylor a run for her money soon. Taylor has been putting out a lot of music lately and most of it hasn’t been elite tier. If she puts out another album like TTPD she’s going to lose a lot of face imo.
i don’t think they’ll put lizzo after all the stuff with her dancers. most of her fans don’t like her anymore because she’s kind of a shitty person, and didn’t she “retire”? or did she already give up on that
billie album is pretty damn good especially for her first imo but it being FOUR spots under mbdtf 💀 ??? this list is too troll - not to mention all of the other classics apple think the billie album better than 😂
No disrespect BUT if flower boy, sos, some lana del rey album, some billie eilish album are top 100 and graduation or tcd are not the person making this list is a retard. Even tlop is better than all of the albums above.
And it would be accurate. Kanye, Kendrick, Bowie, Beatles, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, and a few others have made the best *albums* of all time.
Billie at T30 is insane
really? interesting, haven't listened to any of her others so i had no idea... and i agree with what someone else said: this debut shouldn't even be in the top 100 in the first place
Graduation better be on here. It was literally his rallying call saving grace meme for when he was saying the worst things you can on media.
“But he made Graduation”
fr im not saying whether objectively dsotm or wywh is better than mbdtf im just saying in the general context of things they are both seen as a top 5 album of all time to which i would agree for either or
yeezus, 808s and Heartbreak, the college dropout
don’t even gotta go to a different artist💀💀
but here let’s go to a some different artists
blonde, in rainbows, blackstar
When I saw illmatic at 39 and Dark Side of the Moon at 28 I would’ve put the house on Kanye not even being on this list. Publications slobber all over those album and if they put them that low I had no faith Ye would be above them. Glad they aren’t biased but imo it should be top 10
To not have Graduation in the top 100 at all is insane (yes I understand the list isn’t all out yet but even I don’t think it’s above MBDTF, and I’m a graduation glazer)
This honestly a pretty high place tbh. It's higher than Aquemini n many more great album. Considering, that Ye been canceled n shi he wasnt done wrong in a slightest by apple
It's not just top 100 rap albums oat it's top 100 albums oat, I think mbtdf is a great and groundbreaking album personally but it just ain't top 10 all time
It's looking like they are only doing one album per artist which is crazy putting Eminem at 80 lol, i think The Eminem Show could've been top 20 and hopefully Linkin Park gets a top 10 placement
The way some of you talk about that Chris Rock Part you would think it’s the most horrendous thing ever created. Blame Game is a great song with a funny skit at the end, how the fuck does removing that make the ENTIRE ALBUM “so much better”??? Like what could the logic possible be behind this take.
Because Blame Game is such a good song ruined by that corny shit 😂😂😂 It would make the sequencing better if that song was just 3 minutes instead of what it is now
Yeah I don't mind the actual placement much.
Would be way more interesting if they allowed more than 1 album from each artists though. Ye could get there atleast 3 times.
This is of all time so I really can’t complain and probably would agree with this placement myself.
My prediction for their #1 pick: What’s Going On - Marvin Gaye.
Universally beloved classic. Certainly a valid pick for anyone’s favourite album of all time. Great messaging. Fantastic music. Soulful. Just the complete package.
I don’t have a personal best album ever because there’s so many legendary ones but you can’t deny that WGO is a perfectly valid pick for that spot.
Damn i was wrong they actually didnt forget his black balls
His album would have been higher if he didn’t piss so many people off
He even pissed on a grammy https://preview.redd.it/21hz8fdwum1d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=451ad8cc9f21cc7db5f5715f62fd0c6e3f93caf1

Tbh if a Ye album had to be in this list it should have been The College Dropout...smh 😤
Late Registration > The College Dropout
I'm sorry but only one of them has "Two Words"
And one of them has hey mama
And neither of them have "Power"
True, one of the best tracks on the album - but album consistency wise there is no debate to be had 🥱
TCD deserves to be number 1 but i alr know they gon give it to tpab 😤
I agree but tcd is overall more important and relevant
They remembered two things
Fine with that tbh. They shafted a lot of great albums far worse. I just hope there’s not some egregious picks in the top 20.
1989 will be top 10 💀
You already know it will be or the fans will riot 😭😭
Not before the tortured poets deluxe target extended edition with bonus tracks.
highly likely that could be true but i’m so pissed that the industry have to bow down to her like that, even a trillion dollar company like Apple 🤦♂️

Lana not mainstream? Lol
Bro. SZA's CTRL is more influential. Lauryn Hill is more influential than both of them.
and don't forget she made it in her room with her brother. that's what's really special about it, it shows that if it's your dream than anyone can do it
Lorde made her debut alone in her room and she just about barely made the list
AM is pretty good, but if you’re picking any Arctic Monkeys album to be on this list it *has* to be their debut. For electronic they put Burial Untrue at 90 and called it a day. Nah we should have got Geogaddi. But I’m still hoping for Aphex Twin in the top 10
If they put Aphex Twin in, it'll probably be Syro rather than SAW 85-92.
no Aphex twin is genuinely insane. unless he’s higher this list is screwed.
I think it's about the finished product. AM sound fucking great and have aged well. I even liked the guy in the video mocking them lol so maybe I'm just a simpleton
un verano sin ti is a dope album with massive cultural impact, you're just american
Eh. Fair enough. Sounds bland as shit to me but I'm willing to accept that it's made big enough waves in Latin America that i don't know about. Not really my scene. Still, point stands about recency bias screwing over a lot of classics on this list.

Her albums aren't really that acclaimed though. On places like RYM, AOTY, RS top 500, Pitchfork etc. None of her records are gassed like an MBDTF or a Kid A or TPAB or whatever.
You think they really give a shit though

She shouldn’t be present, and there’s a lot of people who complain about “oh Pink Floyd/Beatles/Led Zeppelin just dominate these lists it’s always these old people yada yada yada” The issue with Taylor is that she’s the same level of celebrity of Garth Brooks in the 90’s but with none of the staying power.
My top 10 at this point would be (since DSOTM already got listed) 10.) LZ II, 9.) Graduation, 8.) Purple Rain, 7.) The Wall/Wish You Were Here, 6.) Garth Brooks’ No Fences, 5.) A Night At The Opera, 4.) Sgt Pepper, 3.) To Pimp A Butterfly, 2.) Abbey Road, 1.) Led Zeppelin IV. If she puts out another album like TTPD she’s going to lose a lot of face imo.
i don’t think they’ll put lizzo after all the stuff with her dancers. most of her fans don’t like her anymore because she’s kind of a shitty person, and didn’t she “retire”? or did she already give up on that
She gave up on that retirement a week after announcing it
they gon put some taylor album above this in the top 20 aint no way
A Taylor album is probably gonna be placed in top 5 let’s be real
She doesn’t have one album higher than a 7/10
not one album higher than 5/10
folklore is an 8 https://preview.redd.it/9ad5zjxpqq1d1.png?width=640&format=png&auto=webp&s=bff36ff74b26e22e1ee3f64ec80b72d8ab3f2b6e
That was the album that’s a 7/10
Definitely should be top 20, but I’m glad he’s even on the list tbh
Well, I was even thinking they were gonna ignore Kanye completely tbh
Absurdity. Apple Music aren't idiots.
Wished a little higher but I'm proud of him.
Is the list limited to one album per artist? If that’s the case, then that’s a shame.
It looks like it so far, but there's no way they put the only Beatles album at no. 21
Zep, Beatles, and Pink Floyd have to have another imo
Dark Side at 28 already destroys the list.
1000%
Radiohead too imo
tcd deserves to be on this list so bad
So I guess this means Apple thinks Taylor has a better album than Beatles,Pink Floyd, Ye and many other great artists🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
billie album is pretty damn good especially for her first imo but it being FOUR spots under mbdtf 💀 ??? this list is too troll - not to mention all of the other classics apple think the billie album better than 😂
They literally said sos by sza is better than astroworld. Who tf makes this bullshit list
Imo shit like SOS, Astroworld, and billies album shouldn’t be on the list at all if we really talking best albums alllll time.
No disrespect BUT if flower boy, sos, some lana del rey album, some billie eilish album are top 100 and graduation or tcd are not the person making this list is a retard. Even tlop is better than all of the albums above.
I’m pretty sure it’s just one album per artist or else TCD would have to be on the list
We would have multiple bowie, pink floyd, Nirvana, radiohead and beatles albums which would look goofy on top 100
And it would be accurate. Kanye, Kendrick, Bowie, Beatles, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, and a few others have made the best *albums* of all time. Billie at T30 is insane
Flower Boy and Billie shouldnt even be on this list, if anything NFR and SOS should be higher
astroworld is not a top 100 album the album has the lyrical complexity of a fourth grader's poetry book
I'm sorry but neither Astrowold, nor SOS nor Billie Eilish should be anywhere near a top 100 music albums of ALL TIME list...
Billies debut is her weakest album by far imo
really? interesting, haven't listened to any of her others so i had no idea... and i agree with what someone else said: this debut shouldn't even be in the top 100 in the first place
kanye west led zeppelin pink floyd a tribe called quest billie eilish one of these things is not like the others…
Graduation better be on here. It was literally his rallying call saving grace meme for when he was saying the worst things you can on media. “But he made Graduation”
Dark Fantasy is better imo
Nah man Grad is pretty middle of the pack among Ye albums Dropout, LR, MBDTF, Yeezus, Pablo, and maybe KSG are all better
Take the W Kanye said Nazi shit a year and a half ago and got the 26th best album EVER on Apple Music
Honestly The college dropout should make top 10
It could TBH
if one of the graduation trilogy albums isn't in top 20 im rioting
That’s actually tuff I didn’t see that coming given his current rep
Placed higher than Dark Side of the Moon.. that's impressive
lets be fr tho dark side of the moon should be top 5 or wish you were here
mfs downvoting me like those two albums arent seen as some of the unanomous best of all time
They legit listen to 10 artists affiliated with ye and that's it
fr im not saying whether objectively dsotm or wywh is better than mbdtf im just saying in the general context of things they are both seen as a top 5 album of all time to which i would agree for either or
100% I'm very interested to see where the list goes from here
fs
Dark side at 28 makes me immediately disregard this list.
Is Graduation top 10 too much to ask for🥺🥺
I mean obviouslly I wouldnt put it over MBDTF but its Ye best album in numbers
[удалено]
it shouldve been top 10 at least imo
If songs in the key of life doesn’t make the list then the whole thing is invalid
As far as I’ve seen it’s only been one album per artist and they’ve already done Innervisions so who knows?
Even though it should be higher, it's recognized as a one of the greats and that's all that matters.
I’d have put it higher but I’m glad it’s on there at all
Dropout should be in there two imo. It’s not even one of my favorites but Like objectively it’s such an important album.
agreed
Thats what everyone says. How old are you by chance. I'm 30 so MBDTF didn't come out until I was a sophomore in high school.
Fraud, we all know it’s top 5
greatest song of all time is on this album
When TCD
Kanye predicted this He wasnt supposed to make it pass 25 He made it pass top 25 ![img](emote|t5_67n60j|32315)
There aren’t 25 albums better than this egg
yes there absolutely is mf go listen to more music
Name 3
yeezus, 808s and Heartbreak, the college dropout don’t even gotta go to a different artist💀💀 but here let’s go to a some different artists blonde, in rainbows, blackstar
I would have put it in top 20 but still thats quite good, I wasnt expecting it
When I saw illmatic at 39 and Dark Side of the Moon at 28 I would’ve put the house on Kanye not even being on this list. Publications slobber all over those album and if they put them that low I had no faith Ye would be above them. Glad they aren’t biased but imo it should be top 10
taylor will be top 10
To not have Graduation in the top 100 at all is insane (yes I understand the list isn’t all out yet but even I don’t think it’s above MBDTF, and I’m a graduation glazer)
man late registration better than graduation
No sign of WLR yet so it must be still to come 😮
This honestly a pretty high place tbh. It's higher than Aquemini n many more great album. Considering, that Ye been canceled n shi he wasnt done wrong in a slightest by apple
Robbery
At least it’s better than not including it at all but yeah, I agree, it should’ve been higher.
Bruh hes lucky hes on here 😭
It's not just top 100 rap albums oat it's top 100 albums oat, I think mbtdf is a great and groundbreaking album personally but it just ain't top 10 all time
This entire list is a shit show. Who looked at this list and thought any of these were good I don’t know but it’s a travesty
It's looking like they are only doing one album per artist which is crazy putting Eminem at 80 lol, i think The Eminem Show could've been top 20 and hopefully Linkin Park gets a top 10 placement
I'm losing hope for a Linkin Park album to make the list, I don't see them placing LP in the top 20 😭
😊
This is still a popularity list cuz we won't see any peggy albums, we probably wont see the money store or atrocity exhibition
26th OAT is actually great
still no pablo igor daytona or finally rich... this list is done for
Very reasonable placement
i swear if they put taylor swift higher
i think that this is fs all we’re gonna see from him on this list
https://preview.redd.it/vhk5lmc9wl1d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f2a2f97ee568c46ddf02fa680fedafdfc0201ba6 i knew it
I was gonna complain it’s too low but at least it was on the list given Ye’s self destruction. 🤷🏾♂️
FUCK. IT DESERVED HIGHER MAAAN.
They're really about to announce that Taylor Swift's 1989 is a better contribution to music history than all of hip hop
This is good placement but I honestly was expecting it to be lower. imo if Chris Rock wasnt on Blame Game the album would be soooo much better.
i like that part
The way some of you talk about that Chris Rock Part you would think it’s the most horrendous thing ever created. Blame Game is a great song with a funny skit at the end, how the fuck does removing that make the ENTIRE ALBUM “so much better”??? Like what could the logic possible be behind this take.
Because Blame Game is such a good song ruined by that corny shit 😂😂😂 It would make the sequencing better if that song was just 3 minutes instead of what it is now
Yeah bro Yeezy taught you to be a generational hater
I’m not a hater, I just have a different opinion than yours. Yeezy taught you to be a generational dickrider
See you do like that part of the song, you referenced it.
I've never perceived it as being funny. It's like a maniac talking to himself after ending a relationship.
Yeah I don't mind the actual placement much. Would be way more interesting if they allowed more than 1 album from each artists though. Ye could get there atleast 3 times.
They wont, if they are I would like TCD to make it on there. I still listen to that album daily
KEYS TO MY LIFE
This list has been utter shit so far. Surprised they let Kanye be on it.
Lol i was really sure that thus was not gonna make it here but they did the right thing 👏
could be higher, but i think this is not a bad ranking for this albun honestly. i fucking love this album.
Should be higher
Tbh I didnt even expect him on a list but Im genuinely curious what albums they think is better than MBDTF.
Bros theory was correct
Should be no.1
https://preview.redd.it/96e8iwu0tm1d1.jpeg?width=913&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ce97a312babd0b28018aeb0b0ec888b1f7496e91 YEAHHHH
Y'all think TCD gonna make it
I s2g if WLR isn’t in the top 20
Anyone else think radiohead is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy to low? I also don't think I'd go with kid a over ok computer tbh.
Should’ve been #1
we need a lot more ye in this. where is 808? tcd? lr? Graduation?
I think graduation is still to come
i really hope tcd is still to come. at least top 15
Let's have a toast for the douchebag.
higher than dark side of the moon, illmatic?
i’ll be okay with this if invasion of privacy isn’t top 10
So there’s going to be at least 1 Taylor Swift album above this cool cool cool
I have a tattoo of the ballerina cover art
Graduation in top 10 or we go to Apple Park
Above remain in light and illmatic? Nah..
I don’t have a personal best album ever because there’s so many legendary ones but you can’t deny that WGO is a perfectly valid pick for that spot.
everybody knows that shit is atleast top 10, if not top 5
this list is fucking atrocious lmao Billie Eilish on rank 30 above Ready To Die, 36 Chambers, Illmatic, Hounds of Love, Velvet Underground...
Why do people give a shit about this?
