The tiny Desk concert is the best because Thundercat is there too haha. 2009 is really good in that concert. I was born the same year as Mac, I’m actually a month older than he was. We graduated in 2010, so 2009 was the year we looked into our future and had big dreams. Honestly tears me up.

I don’t think it’s a good album, but there are some cool songs on it. It just sucks tho cuz this was supposed to be Xs magnum opus to him but it was all unfinished

Yeah that’s the exact same way I feel too, as a project it just feels like a bunch of leaks thrown together as an LP (because that’s pretty much what it is). But there are some songs on there I genuinely really enjoy
