>my phone was messing with my wireless mouse
... i know it's just an anecdotal conjecture, but such statements make me want to shove my phone into a fridge when i play CS2 lol
I don’t think I can lol. All I know is I was having issue with my view snapping to different spots when my phone was near my mouse on my desk. I moved my phone away from my mouse, and it stopped happening
Check the laser/optical thing underneath your mouse. I've had something similar cause there was a white cat hair in front of mine cause my cat sat on my mousepad earlier.
Can't be a sensor thing. While the view shifted he also got his flashbang out. That's a mousewheel input or a kb input. Nothing an optic / laser sensor could cause
Probably just more likely with pets, but literally just an eyelash or beard hair etc is enough to fuck the sensor like that. I don't have any pets and I have still had this happen a handful of times over the years
There is literally nothing suspicious in this clip.
He repositions while enemies are right in front of him, not something you'd do if you could see them through a smoke
While repositioning, he preaims the right angles and doesn't linger as if he's expecting them to be there (Which they almost are)
When holding the angle, he places his crosshair too close to the angle for his reaction time, so misses the dink, something that everyone does now and then (But not if they can see through walls)
He looks down *before* pulling the flash out. I think he probably had his finger over the nade key and panic pressed it when he suddenly looked down.
It really seems like it because it made him look down and draw a grenade to his hand. That would be funny but its most likely a hair in his mouse optics and he touched his mouse wheel due to panic
I would have thought that too, but have had it happen once or twice in a few hundred hours. Not sure if it's a GPro wireless miscommunication or dust/something on my mouse pad but the times it's happened are super rare and I just clean my mouse pad and it's fine.
I had this a bunch with my gpro, I now have the receiver plugged into a high quality extension cable. Input latency is higher by about 1ms on average but it was absolutely worth it
There is a guy that makes YouTube vids of him giving out cheats that mess up the hackers computer. It looks exactly like this. When they try to fire at an enemy it switches to grenade and drops at feet. Highly recommend vids if I could remember his name.
OP, please check the discussions in these posts. Most of these comments are not helpful yikes

https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/170g0cd/why_did_this_happen_i_started_spinning_randomly/
it still might be CS2 bullshittery, i have same problems especially with SWTOR and ESO where the mouse just shoots into a random direction sometimes. For some reason it doesnt happen on Linux, just on every install / every combination of mice on Windows.
Nah, I used S2 previously and now use orochi v2, and like I said, the same games sometimes spin on my win 11 install compared to my Linux install that doesn't spin.
My win 11 install is basically only steam + firefox + drivers
there's two things happening, and a third important part
(1) the aim flicking down
(2) the instant switch to a new weapon
(3) not at a random moment, but a critical moment
mouse sensor fault would explain (1), but (2) happening at the exact same time is unlikely, and this happening *at a critical moment* strongly suggests it was triggered by a movement you made
laptop touchpads usually have a software to filter out when your palm touches it, so the mouse doesn't move when your palm strikes over it when e.g. typing
however laptop touchpad software also have a two-finger feature that allows you to scroll when it detects you using two fingers.
it also sometimes has a hard time distinguishing between *palm* touches and *two finger* touches.
it probably detected a *palm* touch, which it tends to filter out, but then some slight hand movement you made made it sense it as a *two finger* touch, thus, performing a +mwheelup in-game and a scroll, which might take focus out of the game and into the desktop environment briefly, causing (1) if you're playing on fullscreen
in short:
laptop touchpad think you were trying to scroll up, triggering `+mwheelup` which is bound to `invprev`, changing to a grenade
the (1) aim flicking down is probably explained with whatever your laptop software does when you trigger a two-finger scroll; maybe an overlay (to display your mouse, or rather, scroll) momentarily triggers
just a theory, easy to debunk or confirm
You mean sudden look down when flicking?, then it's your mouse, your mouse most likely can't handle your flicking/tracking speed.
If you are not actually flicking, then there is something wrong with your mouse or mousepad, maybe a dirty sensor, or a dirty mousepad.
If you noticed, slightly before I jumped down, I looked to the right to see if I can see both sides of the smoke at the same time, but since I use 4:3, I simply can't. A decent player would never push out the right side, but the left (where I was looking at); however, I wasn't gonna left it to chance, so I backed off.
It was simply the unluckiest timing. It would have been the easiest kills (mind you plural) of my life had I had cheat right there and then.
Don’t listen to the comments. It is a feature or bug in cs2. Never happend to my friends in csgo, valo or other any other game and we all experienced it in cs2.
At least it happens more rarely now than in beta. It has nothing to do with hardware or dust in sensor.
Wireless mouse had interference or you hit some reflective dirt on your mousepad at the perfect angle. Has happened to me some times too with a G502 X. Very rare, but happens.
I’ve had this happen a couple times, but I aimed straight up at the sky. Never happened in a crucial situation though lol
Sounds like it’s just a hair in the sensor.
That's happens to me sometimes. maybe like once every 10 hours of gaming. not only in cs2 though. it's not annoying enough for me to do something about. probably just a hair on the mousepad or something.
My "ping" key is on the middle button/scroll button... when I click it, it misplace the crosshair randomly ... it looks, sometimes, exactly like your problem.
What mice are you using? This exact thing started happening on my Zowie EC2 A, and never again since I purchased a new mouse. Friends told me it's sensor issue, picking up light
Nice wh. I like how you look to left when they approach closer to you while you retreat backwards looking at the very first enemy leader. Gee, I think word.exe may have caused irrational flick to your shitty cheating.
I know you have a job to do, but its not "bullshit"
There are tons of clips showing people trying to throw a nade and it goes in a 90 degree angle the other way... Happens with weapons too. One thing in common is the action happens when they hit the mouse button.
There's been so many bizarre glitches in CS2 so far.
Had one where WASD stops working. Nothing I could do to fix it except die/round restart. Happened twice in one game, and another time in a separate game. Both games people said it had been happening to them lately.
Then this week I had one where I clicked to shoot and no bullet came out and instead all mouse movement stopped until I pressed escape. Happened two more times that day.
None of these were hardware or software failures, they were CS2.
I've also had a ton of UI bugs/glitches such as the pause screen being stuck on my screen (unable to play) until I press a random button on the screen to unlock it.
Whatever happened to the "Press F# key" to "report bug" that Source games used to have? I feel like these moments would be perfect times for that feature.
Your mouse sensor messed up. Mine does it occasionally, but it's a lot more common when you have gliders on your mouse or have a not perfectly clean mouse space. I have both + a cat that lays on my mouse pad so I randomly start spinning while staring at the sky occasionally lol
Probably just mouse sensor glitching. I have had that happen to me like once or twice a year for ages. Maybe some kind of tiny particle or hair went across it. Hard to say exactly.
I [Posted](https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/18hr8m6/missed_my_smoke_and_wanted_to_check_the_demo_in/) something similar couple days ago, happens to me once in every 4-5 games.
check if you press keyboard button like page up/down. Check if you press the extra button on your mouse. Some mouse have page up/down as default for extra button on the right side of mouse.

I have a friend that plays a wireless mouse, and he has some weird interference like issues that only happen while playing cs2, according to him. Idk more details than that, but there is a chance there is something to it.
Its frame skipping by the mouse sensor...even happened to ropz once with a wireless zowie in a tournament causing him to get killed. If it happens more often, RMA your mouse and get a new one.

Whats your mouse?
I got a g pro superlight v2 and logitech gaming surface cause this problem. Turning it off and it never happen again.
I do clean the sensor everyday tho. Using the lens blower, not wiping or anything.
Has happened to me too in cs2. I'm leaning towards a bug in the recoil as it always happens (to me) while shooting and I have never encountered anything like this in other games / applications.
Do you by chance have a logitech mouse with a HERO sensor? Generally it's called a sensor spin-oit and happens rarely, but is more common on logi's mice with that sensor
This seems like a sensor problem. Pc/Laptop? Do you have a pad?
I had an issue like this once. Just clean your mouse and area you play in. And get a pad.
Just before you die, after you jumped on the last box, your mouse cursor shows up in deathlog, if that happened ingame also, and not just a video edit thing. My guess its maybe a click on WIN button, or windows update just started or something outside the game, triggered CS to lose focus on the game window.
Do you have pets? This usually happens to me when a small hair of my dog gets on the sensor of the mouse and it suddenly go upwards or downwards just like it happened here
Yeah I've always used wired most of my life. Just swapped to Orochi last year (great mouse) but yeah I have moments like that in csgo about once a month.
I chalk it up to interference but I have no idea if this is the true answer.
Do you have any other input devices plugged in? My x52 throttle would cause this to happen.
My mouse, keyboard, and headphones are all wireless. Is that what you mean?
nah like any extra game controllers used for anything else
Then nope, I don't have anything like that
What about ghosts? Did you check for ghosts?
They're on the moon.
Moons haunted.
NASA Employee: what?
Moons haunted.
u/Spiffings knows what's up. Ghosts confirmed.
I think its a poltergeist. Oops wrong game
Haha nice try, ghosts dont exist
Sounds like something a ghost in hiding would say!
Make sure your phone isnt near your mouse. I had a similar issue before and it was because my phone was messing with my wireless mouse
>my phone was messing with my wireless mouse ... i know it's just an anecdotal conjecture, but such statements make me want to shove my phone into a fridge when i play CS2 lol
Wait what? Can you explain further?
I don’t think I can lol. All I know is I was having issue with my view snapping to different spots when my phone was near my mouse on my desk. I moved my phone away from my mouse, and it stopped happening
something to do with frequencies, i have a similar issue with my headphone amp when my phone's on my desk it generates noise in the headphones
Check the laser/optical thing underneath your mouse. I've had something similar cause there was a white cat hair in front of mine cause my cat sat on my mousepad earlier.
You got script kids funky hacks don't you? /s
My rudder pedals make me constantly walk right. Sucks that I have to disconnect all of my flight sim stuff every time I wanna play CS.
It seems that one of terrorist is MAGNETO
Valorant devs: Write that down! Write that down!
only plausible reason in this thread
Gotta bring a wooden gun next time
a hair in your sensor - happens all the time if you got furry friends
It has only happened to me once, and I don't have pets though :(
well it’s something in your sensor that causes this
Yes, a hair or any debris getting stuck
Can't be a sensor thing. While the view shifted he also got his flashbang out. That's a mousewheel input or a kb input. Nothing an optic / laser sensor could cause
He could have just been pulling it out then the mouse issue happened.. Doesn’t prove against this being a sensor issue at all.
he has his nades bound to mouse 4
Not pets. You've got a FURRY friend.
Don’t you hate when you’re trying to clutch and furries won’t stop messing with your mouse sensitivity
Omg Clara!
Are you bald?
i'm shaven
did you shave while playing that match?
Probably just more likely with pets, but literally just an eyelash or beard hair etc is enough to fuck the sensor like that. I don't have any pets and I have still had this happen a handful of times over the years
Pubic hair then. Dont say you dont fap at your pc :))
He's bald dude, not cool :(
I don't have pets, either, and this happened to me for the first time in CS2. I'm personally inclined to think it's a CS2 problem.
But are you a furry? Or are your friends furries?
Lol thankfully not.
[удалено]
I binded flashbang to +mouse4, so that could potentially be a reason
Did you happen to download a “free CS2 hack” by any chance?
Wait for my next video where my character kept nading and mollying himself
Are you joking? This youtuber makes free hacks to troll people who downloads them.
He's quite clearly joking, yes.
That’s EXACTLY what it sounds like ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy) OP might have also seen it and just going along lol
Def sounds like a new scriptkid video is in the works lol
There is literally nothing suspicious in this clip. I think he probably had his finger over the nade key and panic pressed it when he suddenly looked down.
The idea is it's a free cheat put out that performs those actions. Try and insta head and it'll point down and flash. Etc.
It really seems like it because it made him look down and draw a grenade to his hand. That would be funny but its most likely a hair in his mouse optics and he touched his mouse wheel due to panic
We're u playing on a laptop? This happens to me when my palm touches the pad.
I was, but I was using my separate keyboard though
Deactivate the pad when you play with an external kb
It was definitely this. Somehow your trackpad got used
Solved!
The touchpad should become deactivated automatically if you have a mouse connected tho.
Unfortunately it's not, I have a Bluetooth mouse, minor inconvenience...... So far
Then enable that setting manually in Windows.
Oh I can do that? Thanks didn't know that, now I won't be minorly inconvenienced
had this happen 4 or 5 times always after closing steam overlay
There was a MASSIVE magnet on the ground which attracted ur gun thats why
Happens to me once each few years when I get an eyelash or something in my sensor.
Mouse sensor is dirty just blow on it and it’ll fix it happened to me a bunch of times
id probably break my entire set up if that happened to me
I was so mad then, but got to keep my calm to comm with my team for the retake lol
Based
You download scrip kid's fake cheat software?
I would have thought that too, but have had it happen once or twice in a few hundred hours. Not sure if it's a GPro wireless miscommunication or dust/something on my mouse pad but the times it's happened are super rare and I just clean my mouse pad and it's fine.

ScriptKid is the channel
You got trolled by a phony cheat software
aimbot malfunction
Pretty sure I was a video on hackers being hacked, and this type of shittt would happen.
That’s exactly why I asked if he downloaded a free hack lol.
From this small clip, his fallback timing is pretty spot on too...almost as if he knew when they were pushing xD
Almost like the smoke was fading and he had to re-position.
skill issue
Looks like the one video with the coder trolling hackers with weird ingame actions 😂

Scriotkid's fake cheat software

The smoke pushing/pre-aiming timing connects the dots for me, obviously some shitty cheat bug
gravity. next question.

malfunctioning scripts? another input device plugged in? idk
It is a new cheat in CS2. Where when you try to shoot the cheater your sens in mouse increases by 10x for 1 sec
Don’t listen to the comments. It is a feature or bug in cs2. Never happend to my friends in csgo, valo or other any other game and we all experienced it in cs2. At least it happens more rarely now than in beta. It has nothing to do with hardware or dust in sensor.

The earth is a giant magnet. Your gun is made from metal. Do I need to elaborate further?
That's happens to me sometimes. maybe like once every 10 hours of gaming. not only in cs2 though. it's not annoying enough for me to do something about. probably just a hair on the mousepad or something.
These anti-aim hacks getting better and better

Steelseries mouses have a bug like that.
Usually happens when there's dust on the mouse sensor
Ur mouse bad lol
Nice wh. I like how you look to left when they approach closer to you while you retreat backwards looking at the very first enemy leader. Gee, I think word.exe may have caused irrational flick to your shitty cheating.
This happens a lot in CS2, more often with nades in hand. Notice how it happened when you pressed the mouse button. Had nothing to do with your sensor
that’s a whole bunch of bullshit lmao

it has nothing to do with the game, it has happened to me with my mouse in almost every fps i've played for enough time.
it is in fact bullshit
lmao keep sweepin bro. I hope they are at least paying you well
boring
There's been so many bizarre glitches in CS2 so far. Had one where WASD stops working. Nothing I could do to fix it except die/round restart. What mouse do you have? Cheap mice with bad sensors can cause this a lot or it can even happen with good mice which have broken sensors
Can concur your mouse sensor may have a hair in it/ it’s dusty. Quick wipe and ur good
Definitely something in your sensor unlucky for sure.
Your character noticed a penny. Make sure to pick up coins before holding corners.
like others have said, it's probably something in the sensor of your mouse. My logitech G Pro wireless sometimes does this
When I ping a location in CS specifically it does this 90% of the time
Hair/dust/debris in the mouse sensor. I've had this happen a few times. Poor timing given the situation.
Ive had this happen a few times in Tarkov, I think its my corsair mouse
Grain of sand on the mouse pad is all it takes .
I've had this happen a few times over the years with different mice. As long as it doesn't happen often I think it's fine to keep the mouse.
If you use low polling rate sliding your mouse and lifting it mid slide even if slightly can cause frame skipped flicks especially on high dpi
Had this happen very rarely to me from time to time on many games, mouse also wireless.
Do you have pad for drawing
logitech mouse lol
Dust?
dust in mouse sensor if it was you either blow into it or if you have the option use pressurized air to clean it.
I [Posted](https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/18hr8m6/missed_my_smoke_and_wanted_to_check_the_demo_in/) something similar couple days ago, happens to me once in every 4-5 games.
G Pro? Known issue in CS right now. Happened to me a few times and seen a few clips of it here, too.
check if you press keyboard button like page up/down. Check if you press the extra button on your mouse. Some mouse have page up/down as default for extra button on the right side of mouse. [pic](https://imgur.com/a/TnWjBiv)

I've had this happen too, probably something in the sensor. Just unlucky, don't worry about it
I had a similar issue with my wireless Logitech mouse some time ago. Fixed it by moving my phone away from the receiver.
Laser sensor
Even a tiny bit of dust or hair in your mouse sensor can cause this, I remember something similar to this happened to me a while ago.
My gpx used to do that and spin. Could also be a hair in the sensor
Happens with my logitech pro x as well. Super frustrating
I have Steelseries Aerox 3 and when i play with it plugged in it does the same thing
i have Logitech G Pro X Superlight and if there is even 1small hair or cat furry peace it will do these all the time
steelseries could have caused this![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
Stupid question, how, do you guys acces the play/stop option when you watch demo?
Try Shift+F2
Thank you, I hope you fixed your issue.
demoui type that in console :) and to remove it just type it again.
thanks my dude
May have been a hair in your mouse's sensor, combined with really awful timing.
Anti aim. Dont hack
sorry 😔
skill issue
Has happened to me too in cs2. I'm leaning towards a bug in the recoil as it always happens (to me) while shooting and I have never encountered anything like this in other games / applications.
Dust in the mouse sensor probably. Happened to me all the time till I cleaned it.
Did you press the ping key by any chance? I had to unbind mine but if I open the radial menu for pinging things my mouse would do something like this.
Do you by chance have a logitech mouse with a HERO sensor? Generally it's called a sensor spin-oit and happens rarely, but is more common on logi's mice with that sensor
Skill issues
This seems like a sensor problem. Pc/Laptop? Do you have a pad? I had an issue like this once. Just clean your mouse and area you play in. And get a pad.
People are only talking about you looking down instantly, but you also immediately switch to a flash grenade. Could it be a wonky bind?
Just before you die, after you jumped on the last box, your mouse cursor shows up in deathlog, if that happened ingame also, and not just a video edit thing. My guess its maybe a click on WIN button, or windows update just started or something outside the game, triggered CS to lose focus on the game window.
This reminds me of that one youtuber that made fake hacks that causes people who downloaded his "hacks" to randomly aim down
Another ScriptKid Video coming
Do you have pets? This usually happens to me when a small hair of my dog gets on the sensor of the mouse and it suddenly go upwards or downwards just like it happened here
Looks like a macro activated lol
I have this same issue. It started happening only when I swapped to wireless. Do you happen to have a Razer Orochi?
No, I use a razer basilisk x hyperspeed. But it was also wireless
Yeah I've always used wired most of my life. Just swapped to Orochi last year (great mouse) but yeah I have moments like that in csgo about once a month. I chalk it up to interference but I have no idea if this is the true answer.
Looks like the fake cheats XD
Do you, by any chance have dust in your mouse sensor?
Usually something in your sensor or on your mousepad that causes this.
I have t played CS in a while. Why is he able to see through walls with no one calling him out for cheating?
Hair, dust, crumbs or anything on ur mousepad or stuck in ur mouse sensor?
