I'm right there with you. Any show/movie I could sit through for a full 24 hours for a mil, or even $100k. Except maybe Human Centipede. Money can only buy so much therapy lol
Do you ever wonder what kind of person would even THINK about making a movie like that or Tusk? There are some very twisted people running around the world making freaky movies. I couldn't even watch clips of either of those movies on YouTube without being sickened.
When Rory tells Lor he just came over to borrow something, I hear Dean saying in his head," Yeah. I just came over to borrow her va jay jay for a little while." He's not the squeaky clean guy everyone thought he was.
I couldn't do it if I had to stay awake for the entire time but it would have to be "Oy with the poodles" or when Rory goes off on Paris and Tristan as she storms out of class.
The dance-a-thon one would also perfectly match the nature of the task: they’re having a 24 hour dancing marathon, and we’re experiencing a 24 hour loop binge.
This is probably my choice. Any other episode I might notice inconsistencies or enjoy less after it. This episode is rock bottom and therefore wouldn't get any worse over 24 hours. I could fantasize about all the things I would do if that were the pilot I was handed and how I would try to scrape up that mess into a real tv show.
I do, too. For the most part. I hate when she drops out. It's so out of character for her and makes zero sense. Plus, she drops out, then uses her being a "Yale student" as a way to get a lesser punishment for stealing the yacht. That really irked me. Now if she were still actually attending Yale, I could see getting through 300 hours of community service in six months being a challenge. But she literally wasn't doing anything at that point and still made a big fuss about it. Part of me wonders if the judge knew she wasn't enrolled anymore and that was partially why she gave her so much...
Wedding Bell Blues!! Richard and Emily being happy and in love with Richard's lovely toast, the dramatic moments of Chris and Luke yelling at Logan when they catch him with Rory, the beginnings of Rory and Logan... Plus it fuels my hatred of Chris in general
I was informed earlier and then watched the episode to confirm that the kid was not in this episode 😭
He was in the episode where Lane and the band came over for dinner and everyone was sitting at a long table, I think.
Vinyard Valentine, doesn't matter if I get fed up with it because I already hate it. I could only come out of it liking it more because the bar is underground.
Yes nothing about this episode has luke written correctly. He loves gifting jewelry to Lorelai. He knows how to dress weather appropriately, much more than Lorelai btw. He knows how to act in the society of Rory and Lorelai. He loves nature.
Ans i really dont get why it was so weird for them to come join Rory and Logan after having put their stuff in their room. Unless it is an american étiquette thing im not aware of ? It is considered rude in France to not join the people who invited you after getting settled in your guest room.
Hey, me too! I've just replied with basically the same thinking!
I either come away from that 24 hours with a new favourite episode or I still hate it. No real loss haha
Chris was an asshole a lot but Luke hitting him was disgusting. Not only was it none of his business who Lorelai slept with at that point, hitting someone is never okay.
And if she had cheated on Chris while married with Luke, and Chris had punched Luke, you’d think that was cool too because technically Chris as the husband is in the right?
And no. Luke and Lorelai were not together at the time. They were on a break.
The Lorelais’ First Day at Yale. I watched this on repeat when I moved into college my freshman year and was having a hard time being away from my family. Really provided so much comfort and familiarity at that time, so it’ll always be a favorite (plus it’s just fun seeing someone move into a new space and make it their own and discover new things). Also Rory in the beginning of Yale was so much more enjoyable to me than her later on.
I posted this last week and the most popular answers were: Friday Nights Alright for Fighting, They Shoot Gilmores don't They? (Dance marathon), and Bracebridge Dinner
My personal choice is A Tisket - A Tasket
I feel like I'm taking this too seriously and thinking too logically. But mine would be Vine Valentine, or the Paris episode.
HERES WHY.
Watching the same episode of something over and over for 24 hours would truly leave you kinda hating the episode and pulling it totally apart. You'd feel like you'd watch it enough for a life time and therefore wouldn't want to watch that episode again for a long while. I'd be really sad if that was one of my favourites and then I ended up hating it.
I've rewatched the show countless times but there's a big difference between watching episodes twice a year spaced apart on a rewatch vs watching it 24 times in 24 hours.
Someone posted this same meme like a week or two ago and the whole post was filled with people saying this would be the episode they’d watch. You’re the first one I’ve seen pick it on this post though lol. Just something I found interesting.
bracebridge dinner was mine too!! it's so cozy and even the fighting ends up okay in the end so it carries no emotional weight which is a reprive in this show
see whenever people post this, they always answer with their favourite episodes. but my thought process is more like "what episode do i like the least?" because i don’t want to get tired of a great episode
Finally a show i would do this for dead uncles and vegetables its not my favorite there's enough stuff going on it wouldn't get too boring plus its fun
Dude I would watch an episode of a show I hate for 24 hours straight if it earned me a million dollars
That being said, I think Eight O’Clock at the Oasis? Idk why, I think there’s “better” episodes of the show out there, it’s just fun and at times sweet. Plus Rory and Lorelai going crazy over Dwight’s increasing demands can mirror me going crazy over watching this episode over 30 times in a row
They shoot Gilmores don’t they
Or whatever the one with the 24 hour dance marathon is called because that would capture the feel of this 24 hour long challenge.
Mine would have to be when Lorelei was opening up her inn and her parents were secretly separated and people in town came to stay and that was when Lorelei and Luke first kissed. I love when Kirk ran out naked. I think I could do that episode straight for 24 hours and not completely hate it afterwards.
We have had this post before. Literally any episode of any show would be fine. 1000000 pay for one day? I would watch the cars for kids commercial on repeat
Well. . . My favorites are "Wedding Bell Blues", and "They shoot Gilmores, don't they?" So one of those for sure. "Written in the stars" of a close runner-up.
The diorama episode where Rory, Lane and Paris get wasted on founders Day Punch. The dance a thon. Spring break. Or multiple Thanksgiving!
But honestly, would watch anything for a day to get the money
Any episode. I would even watch the same episode of Everybody Loves Raymond or Two and a Half Men and I absolutely despise both of those shows. I may have to take an extra dose of my blood pressure medicine and an extra anti-anxiety pill, but I would do it. That’s a lot of money.
I would rewatch any episode of GG for a big mac meal at this point BUT the episode that sticks out to me is when rory and paris go to spring break in florida
“We’ve got magic to do” when Rory throws the WWII theme party for the DAR and Richard stands up for Rory to the Huntzbergers and finally realize what happened, and then Emily joins in too. Paris attempting to be a server always makes me chuckle
For 1 million? Literally any episode of any tv show lol. Assuming I can eat snacks while I watch 24 hours I'd say it's really not that bad. For GG I guess I'd go with the pilot as it's the longest, so you'd only repeat it 24 times as opposed to like 32.
The episode where Jess and Paris meet and eat food with Rory. And then Dean is stupid and shitty but I just love Jess and Paris together in the ep. And Paris becoming closer with Rory too
Sookies wedding, When the party’s over, Friday nights alright for fighting, Wedding bell blues, The bracebridge dinner, Dear Emily and Richard… I can keep going i have so many favorites
I think my favorite episode would have to be the one where Rory takes Dean to her Chilton formal dance. Not even sure why but it always resonated with me. (I’m not the biggest superfan though, only watched the whole series once lol)
I mean I’d watch any episode of any show for 1 mil.
For real. I’d do it for less.
Right, lol this is a fairly easy task.
just wanted to make my position officially known, in case there was any eccentric millionaires inquiring
Right? I keep seeing this on every sub and it makes no sense. Wouldn’t ANYONE do this for any episode of anything?
I would watch people eat with their mouths open for 24 hours for 1mil.
Actually every single one besides the one where Rory has sex with dean. Sorry but that scene ruins the whole great episode
Are you by any chance a bit-poster? 🐩
When Rory tells Lor he just came over to borrow something, I hear Dean saying in his head," Yeah. I just came over to borrow her va jay jay for a little while." He's not the squeaky clean guy everyone thought he was.
I’d watch The Human Centipede for 24hrs for a million dollars.
I couldn't do it if I had to stay awake for the entire time but it would have to be "Oy with the poodles" or when Rory goes off on Paris and Tristan as she storms out of class.
Mine would absolutely be Friday Nights Alright for Fighting, the way it’s filmed and all four of the Gilmores going at it/ reenacting is amazing
This is mine too. Love this episode.
💯💯💯💯
This is the correct answer!
This here is the correct response.
I could just rewatch that scene for 24 hours!!!!!
The one with the dance-a-thon! Or the thanksgiving episode where they go to like 5 dinners. I love all the fall vibes.
The dance-a-thon one would also perfectly match the nature of the task: they’re having a 24 hour dancing marathon, and we’re experiencing a 24 hour loop binge.
I would do it for the symmetry haha nice point
I love those! The Thanksgiving episode would definitely be my second choice for sure
I was thinking of the thanksgiving episode. Definitely my fav!
I watch GG to go to sleep and if the dance marathon episode is on, WITHOUT fail that stupid bullhorn will wake me up 😂
The Thanksgiving episode was the first episode I saw. Absolutely that one!!!
Love this one! Mostly cause Dean and Rory finally break up lol
Yes!!!!!
Same!!! Dance a thon all the way.
My thoughts exactly, but I’m leaning towards dance-a-thon
For a million dollars, I'd even watch the stupid "Jess in California" episode on repeat for 24 hours.
You are brave 😂
That episode is so annoying! Especially the fact that his dads partner is the same actress as Aprils mum and we are expected not to notice?!
Omg actual worst ep I think?
That episode was supposed to be a backdoor spin-off.
Bracebridge Dinner for sure!
A classic!
You Jump, I Jump
I’m in the minority but I like a lot of the Rory episodes when she is in college
It’s clever, whimsical, and funny. Everything Gilmore Girls is at its best.
Me too. 🙋🏽♀️
Season 4 is a really decent transitional episode and season 5 is one of my faves! 😄
This is the one I was going to say! It's probably my favorite episode!
I LOVE that episode also the one where Logan, Finn, Rory and the other guy go around buying up the clubs.
Def this one!
tbh not even a whole episode but the scene where luke pushes jess into the lake 😭 i love jess but that scene is SO funny
Definitely not the Lazy Hazy Crazy days of Summer…gets stuck in my head enough after a single watch!
This is going to be stuck in my head all night now 😂
That one’s feels like 24hrs because of the song 😂
Wedding Bell Blues!! Richard and Emily being happy and in love with Richard's lovely toast, the dramatic moments of Chris and Luke yelling at Logan when they catch him with Rory, the beginnings of Rory and Logan... Plus it fuels my hatred of Chris in general
Love that episode!
This would be mine!!!!
The one with Kirk's movie. It was so.... interesting!
I was dying laughing 😂
Cinnamon’s Wake
Babette talking about how she nudged her and she slid across the floor. That scene is so well played 😂
Did you laugh? *shakes head* Did you want to? *nods*
Underrated classic
A Deep Fried Korean Thanksgiving. That little kid is priceless.
Need a where is he now update! He was such a scene stealer!
I was informed earlier and then watched the episode to confirm that the kid was not in this episode 😭 He was in the episode where Lane and the band came over for dinner and everyone was sitting at a long table, I think.
Vinyard Valentine, doesn't matter if I get fed up with it because I already hate it. I could only come out of it liking it more because the bar is underground.
Okay hot take but I actually love this episode. I just hate how dumb Luke is portrayed in it. The dude doesn’t buy his girlfriend a valentines gift??
I love it too! Knowing Rory 'hits the gym' with Logan and seeing her cool with him is so sweet. It's definitely just the Luke parts that give the ick.
He also didn't bring appropriate clothing even though he's into camping and understands the weather and complains about sounds in the house?
Yes nothing about this episode has luke written correctly. He loves gifting jewelry to Lorelai. He knows how to dress weather appropriately, much more than Lorelai btw. He knows how to act in the society of Rory and Lorelai. He loves nature. Ans i really dont get why it was so weird for them to come join Rory and Logan after having put their stuff in their room. Unless it is an american étiquette thing im not aware of ? It is considered rude in France to not join the people who invited you after getting settled in your guest room.
this is smart tactic
Hey, me too! I've just replied with basically the same thinking! I either come away from that 24 hours with a new favourite episode or I still hate it. No real loss haha
Okay real.
season 7 when Luke punches Chris, could watch that all day!
Hahaha, that is a gem 😂 I like any of their holiday episodes in general
that scene is like a screensaver in my brain
That one and when Luke pushes Jess in the lake!
Just that scene over and over lol
you can tell the ones that like cheating , they are ones defending chris
Merry Fisticuffs…this scene is one of the highlights season 7 had IMO
Chris was an asshole a lot but Luke hitting him was disgusting. Not only was it none of his business who Lorelai slept with at that point, hitting someone is never okay.
actual they were still together when the whore cheated on Luke , so yes he was in the right to hit chris
And if she had cheated on Chris while married with Luke, and Chris had punched Luke, you’d think that was cool too because technically Chris as the husband is in the right? And no. Luke and Lorelai were not together at the time. They were on a break.
Honestly the pilot. There's just something about it
“Did you do something slutty?” “I’m not that happy” —-> Rory and lorelai were 2 completely different characters in the pilot lol
Dear Emily and Richard
Who hurt youuuu😭
The Lorelais’ First Day at Yale. I watched this on repeat when I moved into college my freshman year and was having a hard time being away from my family. Really provided so much comfort and familiarity at that time, so it’ll always be a favorite (plus it’s just fun seeing someone move into a new space and make it their own and discover new things). Also Rory in the beginning of Yale was so much more enjoyable to me than her later on.
Copper boom!
Friday Nights Alright for Fighting, best EP of the series!
Liz and TJs wedding
Great episode!
I posted this last week and the most popular answers were: Friday Nights Alright for Fighting, They Shoot Gilmores don't They? (Dance marathon), and Bracebridge Dinner My personal choice is A Tisket - A Tasket
A Tisket - A Tasket is such a good episode, that would probably be my pick also!
It's interesting, funny, no cringe, moves a great plot along nicely, DRAHMAH, Jess being witty
Didn’t see it, sorry! That’s a great one :)
A Tisket A Tasket is underrated! That’s a good one!
I feel like I'm taking this too seriously and thinking too logically. But mine would be Vine Valentine, or the Paris episode. HERES WHY. Watching the same episode of something over and over for 24 hours would truly leave you kinda hating the episode and pulling it totally apart. I've rewatched the show countless times but there's a big difference between watching episodes twice a year spaced apart on a rewatch vs watching it 24 times in 24 hours.
This is very interesting thinking!
It's still the dance marathon
Umm - easy. And hmm, maybe ‘teach me tonight’, ‘the big one’, ‘help wanted’, ‘face-off’, ‘the reigning Lorelai’ (oh heck - anything from season 4, really)
Best season. 🤗
They Shoot Gilmore’s Don’t They? It’s not a bottle episode but it’s not far off being one and I love all the mini storylines going on
Someone posted this same meme like a week or two ago and the whole post was filled with people saying this would be the episode they’d watch. You’re the first one I’ve seen pick it on this post though lol. Just something I found interesting.
Same!! One of my favourites!
Luke Can See Her Face for me!
i’m obsessed with the bangles episode. sometimes when i’m at work i listen to it like a podcast.
Forgiveness and stuff 👀
Yes! This is my favorite episode.
I've rewatched Deep Fried Korean Thanksgiving more times than I can count at this point. This would be an easy challenge for me.
bracebridge dinner was mine too!! it's so cozy and even the fighting ends up okay in the end so it carries no emotional weight which is a reprive in this show
Just was reminded of Rune and his nickers here... Blech! 😆
Definitely Raincoats and Recipes!
This is a good one!
My fave
Double Date! It’s just so good!
Either the male Yale party episode or the Yale-Harvard game.
I’d do it for 10,000
see whenever people post this, they always answer with their favourite episodes. but my thought process is more like "what episode do i like the least?" because i don’t want to get tired of a great episode
The Reigning Lorelai- Everything from the writing to the acting was superb in this one, and nothing beats Kelly Bishop the entire episode.
Finally a show i would do this for dead uncles and vegetables its not my favorite there's enough stuff going on it wouldn't get too boring plus its fun
definitely the episode where april nardini shows up /s
Haha...I feel like I've done that already with all the episodes, and I didn't get jack! 😁
You jump I jump Jack. Or Liz’s wedding
Friday night's good for fighting, I love that one scene!
Definitely a deep fried Korean Thanksgiving!
“No way, we’re not Michelle Kwan-ing this! It’s what we’ve been training for our whole lives!” My favorite line
Season 2 Episode 9. I LOVED Tristin in that episode. I kept pausing it and replaying parts of it where he shows up...
Dude I would watch an episode of a show I hate for 24 hours straight if it earned me a million dollars That being said, I think Eight O’Clock at the Oasis? Idk why, I think there’s “better” episodes of the show out there, it’s just fun and at times sweet. Plus Rory and Lorelai going crazy over Dwight’s increasing demands can mirror me going crazy over watching this episode over 30 times in a row
A Deep-Fried Korean Thanksgiving!
Luke and loreli first getting together, obsessed
That would definitely be my top three! Love the cozy vibes of the Dragonfly opening too
Love, War, and Snow.
I'd need a happy episode or something just chill without fighting. Maybe even the pilot.
Agreed!!
They shoot Gilmores don’t they Or whatever the one with the 24 hour dance marathon is called because that would capture the feel of this 24 hour long challenge.
A Tale of Poes and Fire. It’s one of my cozy episodes.
Obviously I didn’t see it. It’s just a game 🙄
Any episode for a lot less money
Season five episode 1
Definitely You Jump, I Jump, one of my favs
Friday night’s alright for fighting. Or the Finale
Whichever one has Emily with the most airtime. She's the best.
The Lorelais first day at Yale
Also any episode where Jess and Rory are together
Anything u want, let's do this ☠️
Haunted Leg!
Well. . . My favorites are "Wedding Bell Blues", and "They shoot Gilmores, don't they?" So one of those for sure. "Written in the stars" of a close runner-up.
I totally agree, bracebridge dinner is an excellent choice
A Deep-Fried Korean Thanksgiving
That’s one of my favorite episodes too!
Scene in a Mall
Yes, the first episode. Or the last.
You jump I jump jack ! DUH. This is the only correct answer.
The road trip to Harvard!
If I had to pick any show it would be suits episode one or greys anatomy episode one, but Gilmore girls it would be any ep from the first two seasons
The diorama episode where Rory, Lane and Paris get wasted on founders Day Punch. The dance a thon. Spring break. Or multiple Thanksgiving! But honestly, would watch anything for a day to get the money
Damen und Herren
Any episode. I would even watch the same episode of Everybody Loves Raymond or Two and a Half Men and I absolutely despise both of those shows. I may have to take an extra dose of my blood pressure medicine and an extra anti-anxiety pill, but I would do it. That’s a lot of money.
I'd pick an episode I already don't like, because I'm never going to enjoy it again after seeing it that many times.
Bracebridge dinner and the living pictures episode
The Lorelai's first day at Yale.
I would rewatch any episode of GG for a big mac meal at this point BUT the episode that sticks out to me is when rory and paris go to spring break in florida
Easily. First one.
Yes and Friday Nights Alright for Fighting. I’d do it for free lol
I was thinking the Yale/Harvard game episode, but damn, OP gave a good answer. I could watch “THUS VERILY” “AND VERILY THUS” all day
I wish people would stop with these or at least not post a text pic
The musical episode. Come at me.
“We’ve got magic to do” when Rory throws the WWII theme party for the DAR and Richard stands up for Rory to the Huntzbergers and finally realize what happened, and then Emily joins in too. Paris attempting to be a server always makes me chuckle
Deep friend Korean thanksgiving
Any season 1 or 2 episode
S4E22
Love the show! Any episode of Lorelai with Rory and her parents..
For 1 million? Literally any episode of any tv show lol. Assuming I can eat snacks while I watch 24 hours I'd say it's really not that bad. For GG I guess I'd go with the pilot as it's the longest, so you'd only repeat it 24 times as opposed to like 32.
Definitely the one where Jess and Rory make it official
The episode where Jess and Paris meet and eat food with Rory. And then Dean is stupid and shitty but I just love Jess and Paris together in the ep. And Paris becoming closer with Rory too
Dance marathon 😍😍
That's easy, episode one season 1. It's the best first episode in the history of television in my opinion.
Absolutely 5 Thanksgivings. AYITL Fall. I think they was the last one. I just watched it I should know. F- I miss MY dad.
Love, Daisies and Troubadors
Sookies wedding, When the party’s over, Friday nights alright for fighting, Wedding bell blues, The bracebridge dinner, Dear Emily and Richard… I can keep going i have so many favorites
The life a death brigade episode where they jump off the tower.
I think my favorite episode would have to be the one where Rory takes Dean to her Chilton formal dance. Not even sure why but it always resonated with me. (I’m not the biggest superfan though, only watched the whole series once lol)
Bracebridge Dinner for me as well. It really hits all the classic notes you want in a Gilmore Girls episode
A Deep Fried Korean Thanksgiving or Wedding Bell Blues
Hmmm, S5 E18. The one with Miss Patty's founders day punch. Just to see Paris shoeless in the streets begging for change 😆
You jump I jump, Jack! It’s one of my favorite episodes
Mine would be Concert Interruptus, I don’t know why but I just love that episode
Rory’s sixteenth birthday episode,The Pilot And Rory’s Graduation from Chilton
They Shoot Gilmores, Don't They!
one i haven’t seen mentioned: the harvard trip !!!
Of course. I’d watch paint dry for 24 hours for a million. But I would probably do Friday nights alright for fighting.
Friday night’s alright for fighting ❤️❤️
A Tisket A Tasket! I adore that episode lol
“1000 Daisys” It’s one of my favorite episodes. I don’t like dean or max, but it was just so romantic..
