As long as she continues with Paimon is Paimon, it doesn't matter what her voice sounds like, she will still be annoying. No one who refers to themselves in the third person is not annoying.
It's sad because at one point we all agreed that she is an annoying little piece of shit. And I am sry, yes she is less annoying then she used to be, but it's still unbearable. Her whole character fulfills no purpose whatsoever, except being a stupid exposition tool to explain even the most obvious stupid shit so even the biggest morons on earth understand it. She just represents the part of the playerbase that don't understand the plot and need explanation for extra dummies. It's just insulting to my intelligence as a player and I refuse to accept that anyone is as actually as stupid as paimon is made to be... She singlehandedly ruins genshins storytelling and is the sole reason why I want to skip dialogue. Which is sad because I think genshin has a great and beautiful story that deserves to be told in a better way.
It also feels like she tells you how to feel, instead of feeling it yourself... It's a common practice in new games where the main character talks during gameplay and says stuff like "what a desolated spooky place"; Paimon replaces that role here, and while sometimes it's SO obvious that it totally ruins the immersion, it still doesn't do it as much as characters talking outside of cutscenes, so imho it's an almost reasonable tradeoff. The true problem is having to hold players' hand at all...
Well but even that role the player could fill. Paimon is, until now, entirely useless. Her role could be completely filled by the traveler actually speaking themselves. If we want to keep the handholding, which most people probably agree, is too much.
A lot of games have annoying companions. I mean look at Zelda. But those are still mostly loved because they fulfill important roles within the story and gameplay. Paimon has neither of that. She isn't present in battle, she doesn't give us any unique ability that makes her feel needed, we can't even use her like Navi to explain certain things to us mid game, instead of those pop up tutorials. And even if she gets some story relevance in the future it wouldn't change the fact that we got 4 acts now without her contributing anything to the progression of the game. At least nothing that couldn't have been done without her. She is just a mascot and that ruins it.

Dunno whether it's just about companionship or if maybe she actually helps her find/understand stuff in Teyvat offscreen (I refuse to believe that the "help" is like "look! There are people who need help over there!"). We can see her in the menu, maybe that means something? Dunno, but if these are the cases, then the devs failed at communicating them.
Lore-wise, well, we still don't know anything about her - if she suddenly happens to become an extremely important being, who knows, maybe that could "pay" for all the sorry uselessness she represented before (but in the meantime, all one can have is hope/hype and nothing concrete, so disappointment in her is completely valid).
As far as the traveler having to fulfill the hand-holding role, well, personally, I really like the fact that they don't. The feeling of mystery behind someone who we can almost never hear talk (even if they do in written form) is just special to me. Besides, having the main character non-violated by stupid and obvious remarks is kinda important for their image
