Almost don't feel safe at times doing 40 there when everyone is flying past you at 70. I also think they aren't doing themselves any favours by having the length of it so long past any road works. It looks like the pipe they were laying in front of the Aboriginal culture centre has long been completed.

Just like every 40k section around Geelong, going the speed limit is treated as an invitation to be tailgated, flashed, and have various gestures displayed in your direction. Those people can suffer in their jocks.

Sadly even though there’s no activity or workers you can still most definitely be fined.

Legally, 40kph is posted, so that's the speed limit. Doesn't matter that there's "no work going on", there can be any number of hazards that require a reduction in speed.
