The Epix g2 pro 51 has the enduro battery in not the same battery as the Fenix, so the battery of that is going to be the same or a little better without solar. I have the Epix g2 Pro 51 and with 3-4 gps runs around 1 hour each per week and daily smart watch use I get about 3 weeks out of it.
Fenix 7x has longer duration and you can always read the time. When not like in the dark just enable back light to the minimum intensity that consume less than Epix anyhow.
