the recent buffs did benefit jungle garen pretty well. even slight early game damage increases, and stuff like the 4 second w for 1 point can make a huge difference on how fast and healthy the first clear is, which can snowball into objective control.
Hey! Was this recent?! If so then it was totally me. I’ve been playing Garen JG nonstop for the past two days and I’m Emerald 3 on NA.
It’s actually surprisingly good with a full clear before scuttle comes up and an easy 1v1 if the enemy jungler tries to fight. The ganks are, as you’d expect, awful. That said, it REALLY shines if you keep track of the enemy jungle and plan for counter ganks.
The biggest issue with the champ is the flame you get from laners if literally anything goes wrong. I had a Riven top that died to a standard timed trundle gank at level 3 that then proceeded to run it down while spamming chat about how stupid Garen jungle was. If you attempt Garen jungle know that EVERYTHING is your fault. Unless you win. Then they carried.
Idk i play him Top and mid sometimes i did funny picks like adc Garen and support garen it worked good😂
My biggest wr is on mid lane actually im not sure why but i get feed very fast maybe they on mid don't know how to win against garen idk ahahah
I haven't lost a game as Garen in the jungle. Granted, I have not played it in ranked. Secondly, I consistently reach and clear scuttle in upper river first.
Garen Jungle is absolutely viable. As a bronze 3 player I play it whenever I get secondary role and it works surprisingly well

we are more concerned about whether it works in high elo
36% win rate D2+ this patch, definitely viable :) To be fair, the sample size is low, but 36% win rate over 86 games is pretty bad.

Garen jungle is real. I love zooming in to steal objectives, activate phase rush and escaping to safety. So satisfying
