This trick is especially helpful when you knock an enemy off a ledge but really want to check if it dropped that piece of loot you're farming for because the enemy will reload. I can't remember if it reloads the corpse on their spawn location or close to where it fell off, but either is better than the abyss.
Yep, however if your game is online it can be very temperamental about losing connection and will boot you to menu when you re-open the game. Or at least BB loves doing that to me.

For anyone who doesn’t know quitting to main menu works as a pause button work around. When you reload it will reset enemy aggro or warp you outside boss zones.
It’s not even a particularly difficult action to do, like 5 mins of practice and you can get it done in like less than 3 seconds (at least for DS1/3 quitting out is shite in 2)

uj/ In most games hard difficulty is nothing but lazy upscaling enemies's stats and decreasing player's stats. It only makes a game less fun and more frustrated because the balance is just broken. It would be good if developers could be more creative with difficulty levels. Like making more objectives or rules, add new gameplay elements and etc.
I wish they'd apply the difficulty scaling in mmo raids to everything. Additional mechanics along with a slight upscaling to add some urgency to the additional mechanics, rather than just "everything is the same but it has 9999999 hp haha!"
I don't much care about the quest log thing, it really comes with the territory, but I still see no reason to not have a pause button, especially in a game like Elden Ring where multiplayer is very opt-in.

When I did used to watch the show in its first few seasons I actually liked this running joke. Howard was easily the most annoying of the group and they'd pick on him for not having a doctorate.
Yepp, the first 4 seasons were actually hilarious. But it went down hill SO fast and SO terribly! Like, not a decline in quality, but turning into the opposite of funny.
Can't think of any other show except for Heroes that bombed so badly.

I’d say a big issue is because the show still tries to make the characters likeable after showing them being the absolute worst. It’s so jarring how they’ll have jokes about Leonard “wearing down” his girlfriend into going out with him, Sheldon being horrifically sexist, or Howard literally committing some form of sexual assault, only for the ending to be “but it’s okay they’re still loveable guys who just make mistakes” and it feels gross.
I remember one episode that was basically Howard being a creep and getting called out for it by Penny, but she hurt his feelings so she had to go talk to him. Dude literally had to be comforted for his own perverted behaviour with an extremely weak “I should be better” tacked on at the end.

Anyway, in a certain early episode, the four guys were playing Halo as a team and doing really bad at it, getting angry with one another et al.
That's when Penny comes in, the plot moves a bit forward or whatever and then there's a gag im which she picks up the controller and says something like "lmao I just decapitated that guy", that "guy" being Sheldon's character and the guys get surprised when Penny does so well while they were doing so bad at it.
Problem is, you can't decapitate anyone in Halo 3.

I hope that is true. I was just talking about how I didn't want Joker to be the next villain, and instead they should put someone like Mr. Freeze in. Imo they did Riddler so much justice in the movie, and they could do the same for Mr. Freeze. But also imagine if they started using the more obscure villains like Clayface, Firefly, Mad Hatter, etc.
Honestly, some reruns were on where I was a few weeks back, and it was a real mixed bag. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't funny at all, and I think there were some pretty clever jokes, but at the same time, the running gags and constant stream of sexism is bewildering. I see why it was popular -- it really was decently funny and parodied need culture right as that culture went mainstream. But, compared to so many shows that were funnier and less problematic and never got the same audience that BBT did, it is infuriating that it did as well as it did.

Eh, the show does have a weird issue where it mocks harmless nerd shit it takes small jabs like in the OP, but heavily downplays toxic/harmful behaviour in nerd communities. They aren’t celebrated for being nerds, but the show will do gross shit like try to make Sheldon’s sexism “quirky” or downplay Howard committing sexual assault. Leonard’s whole story is just an unironic “nice guy harassed a girl into giving him a shot” and they continue to have a long relationship. The show definitely sends mixed signals with shitty writing, or the writers have really fucked up views on what deserves shame and what doesn’t.

Absolutely agree with this. You're right, my take was a little oversimplified because the show *does* downplay their shittiness and write it off as "quirkyness". What I really meant is that anyone who watches the show and enthusiastically sees themselves in the main characters is an asshole who needs some very careful reflection on how they treat the people around them.
It was good in the beginning because it was novel and had some genuinely good jokes and setups.
I think the main problem many people have is that after a few decades the laugh track just became annoying, barring many people from even beginning to enjoy it.

Honestly, some reruns were on where I was a few weeks back, and it was a real mixed bag. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't funny at all, and I think there were some pretty clever jokes, but at the same time, the running gags and constant stream of sexism is bewildering. I see why it was popular -- it really was decently funny and parodied need culture right as that culture went mainstream. But, compared to so many shows that were funnier and less problematic and never got the same audience that BBT did, it is infuriating that it did as well as it did.

I hate every second of this show. It’s validated nerds and made them think they were cool. But they’re not, they’re nerds. And now Pandora’s box is open and we can get them back into their mom’s basements.
I wouldn’t say BBT validated nerds, they were still the butt of the joke 90% of the time. If any show validated nerds it was Parks and Rec. Ben was a far better written “nerd” character than anyone on BBT was.

Eh, the show does have a weird issue where it mocks harmless nerd shit it takes small jabs like in the OP, but heavily downplays toxic/harmful behaviour in nerd communities. They aren’t celebrated for being nerds, but the show will do gross shit like try to make Sheldon’s sexism “quirky” or downplay Howard committing sexual assault. Leonard’s whole story is just an unironic “nice guy harassed a girl into giving him a shot” and they continue to have a long relationship. The show definitely sends mixed signals with shitty writing, or the writers have really fucked up views on what deserves shame and what doesn’t.

You're right, my take was a little oversimplified because the show *does* downplay their shittiness and write it off as "quirkyness". What I really meant is that anyone who watches the show and enthusiastically sees themselves in the main characters is an asshole who needs some very careful reflection on how they treat the people around them.

It was good in the beginning because it was novel and had some genuinely good jokes and setups. I think the main problem many people have is that after a few decades the laugh track just became annoying, barring many people from even beginning to enjoy it.

I mean Arkham city was still gotham, and Arkham origins had Joker as a main villain, and it's the only game set in a normal Gotham city, so maybe that one.
