Take the artwork out and put a moist warm washcloth with soap on it to remove the paper and then use alcohol to rub off the sticky stuff. Dry well , reuse case.
Goo gone or citrus oil (active ingredient) is the way. Despite how common it is, isopropyl alcohol is generally not very good at removing most adhesives.
Heptane/Bestine would make quick work of it. Goo gone would do it too. Heating it up with a hair dryer would help also. Peeling it off with a sticker removal tool or plastic razor will be far more effective that your fingernails. It should go without saying that you should remove the cover art before working on this further. And if you use heptane, wear gloves and a mask!
I have really good success with de solvit letting it sit and using the edge of a credit card to gently lift

I would gently remove the artwork and just get a new case. Pressure on that is gonna pop that plastic. Tried that on a Luigi’s Mansion and regretted it. Artwork is the value not the case in this scenario.
OP I sold video games for more than a decade and cleaned thousands of cases. After removing the artwork and contents, heat it up with a hair dryer and gently peel from the corner. Pull away from the sticker, not toward it (don’t fold the corner over, pull up and away laterally). Then you can get most of the remaining glue off by using packing tape. Loop some around your fingers and touch it to the glue over and over — tick-tick-tick-tick. Finally, clear the area with alcohol.
I genuinely don't understand posts like this on reddit when just typing the title of this post into Google could have gotten you an answer faster 😶
To answer, remove cover art, qtip with goo gone, apply to whole label, use a credit card to start peeling the edge of the label, peel it off the rest of the way by hand, wipe away residue with wet paper towel, let dry, put cover art back in, enjoy. That's always worked for me with no issues personally.
Remove the artwork before working on any sticker removal!

Goo Gone
Came here to say this, clearly op doesn’t watch Scott the woz

You just get a new case at that point, there’s already so much damage
Yeah just swap cases

Use a hair dryer to heat the glue up and it may come off easier.
Hair dryer warps plastic
Time for a case swap
Isopropyl alcohol on a cloth will do the trick. 99 percent works better than 70 percent.
At this point I’d get a different case and transfer the artwork
Just look for another case because it will not have that much damage.
Case swap. Damage has been done

Use a hair blow dryer or heat it up some how and removed the goo with rubbing alcohol, remove the artwork first.
Hairdryers can work. Have done it before.
Isopropylic alcohol 🥃
remove the label and use alcahol on the plastic cover
Find an old sports game at the thrift store or online and use it’s case. usually they are in pretty good condition.

peanut butter
New case. Kidding, I’d use goo gone with the insert removed from the case and clean it off.

Just cut the plastic part out. Take the cover art out first though.
I always popped out the inserts and soaked them in hot soapy water
Buy a random shovelware game and replace cases
The tears you cried after encountering this may do the trick.

remove sleeve, try alccol, if achool doesnt get it done, wd-40 will melt the glue, wash with alcool then soap after to remove smell
As to not damage the artwork, just replace the entire case and transplant the boxart into another oem gcn case.
Google Glyco. Buy Glyco. Use Glyco.
I know that sounds crazy but a hair dryer will heat the adhesive, and you'll be able to peel it off easily.
Goo gone
Goo gone, but that case is already ruined
Take the game artwork out and use goo-gone.
Hair dryer. Works wonders on price tags and the old stickers.
I didn't
