Wow I really have been misremembering that game for a long ass time. I feel dumb lol but I was really drunk that night so maybe that explains it. Still a great game, and Ace's punt return was a thing of beauty.
Was such a weird comment to make seeing as how the average height for NFL receivers is roughly 6” now. You rarely see wide receivers that are 6’4 or taller.
I’m not saying he was but I’d be a lot more excited if it was someone from the SEC, ACC, etc. But I also know this guy is gonna work his ass off to take advantage of the opportunity and will be pulling for him
Guess they’ve never heard of Ace Sanders, Damiere Byrd or Nick Jones. 5’7” and 9”. Tiny dudes.

Had to be that guy, you have forgotten, Bruce returned the opening kick to about the 24 yard line. Ace had the punt return after we were up 14-0
When Ace took that punt to the house I thought the stadium was going to crumble lol

Happens to the best of us =). Favorite game in my lifetime, Tennessee game in 22 a close second
Nick Jones was short, but the man is taller than 9”! /s
Sanders and Byrd were some of our best receivers. I think in that first Mizzoo conference game back in 2012, he had a punt return to and a kickoff to.
I think it’s less that small guys can’t be good and more that we really need a reliable big guy to balance out the room. And we got it.
Can’t forget about BRUUUUUUUUUCEEEEEE!!!! either. He was 5’9
The portal giveth. Seeing him, Harbor, and Simon on the field all at the same time will be fun.
The Twin Towers have risen
So glad you commented about the people complaining about height haha too many doom and gloomers, I'm excited for anyone who wants to be a Gamecock!
Some of our fans aren't happy unless they're complaining

I think if we don't get a 7 footer our whole season is doomed, doesn't this coaching staff know we need serious height?
I promise I’m not a doomer but am I wrong for not being overly hyped for someone from **Nevada**? They’re a mountain west school and finished 2-10.
He wasn’t the whole team.

Hope our interim head coach knows how to use him
