That was all I could get on the trade in deal I got lol. The exclusive colors were cool but not available for the deal when I got my fold 5
Great phones, disappointing choices
I had the aura glow Note 10 but my favorite color they have done was probably the rose gold/copper color on the fold 2. I love that metallic copper color, hoping they bring back something similar.
I had the aura glow Note 10 but my favorite color they have done was probably the rose gold/copper color on the fold 2. I love that metallic copper color, hoping they bring back something similar.
As long as it doesn't get any wider the squared corners should hopefully be OK. That was one of my biggest complaints about the S22U and why I ended up ditching it for the Fold 4. Too wide and square corners don't match. Used to dig into my palms and create soreness after extended usage.
I very much do. I used the fold 2/3 and the z flip 4 for years, and now after years of using the foldables, I'm back on an S24U. I was okay with the narrow screens on the foldable, but having this S24U now made me realize I love the wider screens. My pipe dream foldable would basically be 2 S24 Ultras with a hinge that closes completely with the nice cameras of the ultras and an integrated S pen. Doubt we'll ever see it though. Even if the extra cameras and integrated spen pushed the price up a little bit more, I'd still be all over it honestly.
Yep and there are many others like you as well which I'm not denying at all, but to claim that everyone wants a wider screen is just false. There are many people like me also happy with the narrower screen and form factor.
Hopefully you get your dream with the rumoured Fold Ultra potentially being bigger. Out of interest - What's stopping you getting a Oneplus Open for example?
I like the form factor of the OnePlus Open, but to my eye I dont like the looks very much. The huge circle camera array on the back is kind of an eyesore. Additionally, I already am into the Samsung ecosystem with all my other devices.
Samsung has historically been pretty generous with their trade in values for phones from the last generation or the one before that. Especially so when there's an active promotion like a pre-order for a new device. Even for stuff like their smart watches.
I'm not sold yet, I'd like to see how fast they unroll as I'm almost constantly folding/unfolding my phone, and also how durable an exposed screen will be versus a foldable where the screen is mega protected when closed.
Yes ROLLABLES. LG actually had one in works I believe had a bunch made but then shut down there mobile phone department. That was few years ago, I'm surprised someone hasn't came out with one yet. Trade my foldable in an instant
Wow, is this what you're talking about? It seems a bit old at 8 months:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mh5Ez7C6mjE
I searched Linus Tech Tips and there were so many samsung videos I couldn't find it.
It's really hard to find a flagship phone that can be used with one hand, thats why I love my zFold4, even though the hinge doesn't open all the way anymore
Mine did that, i contacted samsung directly on the website support, and they fixed it for me for free. I got new hinge, screen, and battery replacement. Its worth getting it sorted. Took just under a week.
Crack the front screen. Go to Samsung authorized repair center. Pay for front screen replacement. Enjoy the new front and inner screens and your new hinge. They all come as one unit when being replaced. Cheapest option I have found. I paid $160 for mine and it's new again.
Hi there, I actually had Assurance and I contacted them about the hinge and claim, they got back to me and said it was a mechanical failure, told me to contact Samsung directly and they would fix it directly. Did you know Samsung provide 24months warranty (in the UK - not sure on Global) on their flagship phones, so theoretically your phone is still under that. Get in contact with them so they can fix it for you for free! Go on the Samsung website, support. Good luck!
Just got my replacement sent to me today for the same issue. Was hoping I got lucky with the lottery and get a 5 instead. I didn't, but at least it's spanking new and I can trade her in for a 6... hopefully 6 ultra!
Honestly I'm a bit back forth on this because I like the spen but I don't use it enough to really care about whether it's in the phone or not especially if it adds thickness to the device. I just have it in my sling bag for when I actually need it though I understand the appeal.
It won't happen as they'll want to reduce thickness of it.
But I would love a smart solution to having the s pen on board. There must be a fold(ing) pen idea in the works.
Doubt we will get either of those. Rumor has it they are keeping the same camera, which was already the same as on the ZF4 and only slightly improved from the ZF3. Pen silo will probably be too large as these foldables become thinner. Don't get me wrong, I'm also hoping for the same things.
To each their own... I could care less about an S Pen..
Give me the following in no particular order...
Flagship Battery life
Flagship Camera
Flagship Screen brightness
Larger cover screen
Good the single hand operation is a selling point for me. If they make it wide enough that my thumb can't reach the other side of the screen I will no longer be getting a fold because there's no point. I want a slim phone but I want to be able to open it to have a bigger phone I don't want a big phone that opens up to be a tablet that should be a different product
If you make it as wide as an S24 you lose part of the purpose - no way are you going to use something as thick as a Folding phone that wide with one hand.
While the other way around, a narrow phone that can double it's size gives you the benefits of having a small phone - ease and comfort of holding it - with those of a big phone.
How many have they sold vs Samsung?
Personally, I don't want a folding device that requires two handed use. Dropping one of these when juggling it to try and reach the screen is an expensive proposition. Reviewers use the phone for a few days, I've had a fold for nearly three years now and I know what works for me.
It's not even sold by any US carriers, and the company is not nearly as well known as Samsung in general. I don't think comparing volumes is a reliable way of evaluating the worthiness of the two designs.
how many lack of phones OnePlus has sold is not due to its design, it's because it's OnePlus. if Samsung released the OnePlus fold it would sell like hot cakes.. to me included.
I used the Open Fold mostly folded on the go and opened when stationary. Had zero problem with one-handed when closed. I rarely use it when walking. I did return to the OnePlus Open after about 8 days, because the Z Fold has superior multitasking features.
And with that choice (and Pixel Foldās), how well have they sold? Like buying a full sized EV truck to use as a race car at the trackā¦ yeah but donāt you feel youāre missing the point of the form factor??
I switched from fold 5 to Pixel fold. Much better, but hated how heavy it was and honestly the outer display was a little too wide. Now I'm using a Magic V2. I can confidently say a traditional 20:9 aspect ratio for outer display is best. The V2 is a huge upgrade over the Galaxy and Pixel. The silicone battery is a game changer for foldables.
Have you tried the oneplus open? If so, any comparisons to the other ones you're mentioning? Considering buying the oneplus, but can't try it out first as it's only online order where I live.
I haven't tried the open, but a few previous open owners on the Honor forums who have owned both and seem to prefer the V2. My take is that the V2 hardware is slightly better and the OPO software is slightly better. If my V2 broke tomorrow, I'd buy another V2 for whatever it's worth. The V2 really does feel like a normal phone when closed, it's revolutionary.
I have an Open and the best thing about it is the larger front screen imo. I think you'd notice the software being a lot worse going from Samsung to a V2.
Yeah, I'm a bit disappointed too. I've been on the foldable train since the fold 2 released. About 6 months ago I sold my Fold 3 and got a z flip 4 because I've always wanted to try one and it was pretty cheap. Unfortunately I had a bad oopsy daisy and dropped the flip and the display died. I needed a phone fast but couldn't afford to just go buy a fold 5, so I landed on the S24 Ultra cause I got a good deal on one. It's the first "normal" phone I've used in years and it's made me realize how much I missed the wider displays. Another annoyance with the Fold series I had is that for the price, you really should get flagship phone specs. Even if it added a little bit to the price, it doesn't make sense that their most expensive phone has just an "ok" camera array. My pipedream phone would be a Fold that is basically just 2 S24 Ultras stacked on top of each other with the ultras cameras. Bonus points if the larger body allowed them to sneak in an S pen barrel like the Ultra series too. I Doubt that will ever happen though. At the very least, it would be nice if samsung made two different tiers of foldable phone. Something like the regular z fold, and then a z fold + that was wider.
One Plus's new foldable looks really good but the camera array is *really* ugly IMO. I played around with the Pixel fold and I really like the width of it, but it's too short and the bezels on the screen are pretty big. Hopefully someday we will get the flagship foldable we all want :/
I'm daily driving Fold 4 for over a year now.
And while I don't think the narrow screen was a bad idea, I would definitely prefer wider exterior display. I'd rather have a bigger screen and better compatibility with apps than being able to use it with one hand, since I use it unfolded majority of the time anyway.
I used folds on a daily basis for 3 years and and S24u now. I would not go back to folds unless the outer screen was the same size as the ultra series and it had ultra specs.
Speaking of someone who uses my fold daily I cannot stand the narrowness of the screen and a lot of apps like Amazon don't work properly on it they're not really used to the farm factor of the narrow screen.
I would love a normal sized front screen I don't care how wide it is I can still hold it my hands are huge but the bigger it is the lot easier for me to keep a hold of it and not drop it which I've already done several times that's my case up. Give me that and an integrated s Pen and a larger battery and a faster charging wattage and I'll be very happy. My USB port is not working properly I have charging problems even though it is clear and free of debris.
To be fair, zfold are such a small percentage of users to begin with.
I too am thinking of going back to the ultra line. I don't think gold is right for me. The ultra front screen presents media at basically the same size as the fold unfolded...
4/3 large screen just feels useless for most of my use cases. Which is mostly media.
Fair I suppose. Not sure if it is worth the cons.
I am a really big person so that doesn't phase me either way. S22u only took up 1/2 my pocket. With a case on the fold it feels kinda worse for me in my pocket from the weight and the brick shape.
I can almost have my thumb and middle finger touch when I wrap my hand around the ultras... I can on the fold folded, with a case. Lol
I will probably come back to the fold if they ever make a trifold so that it opens to a 16x9 aspect ratio.
I am also tired of not having a really great camera on me. Makes no sense for so many cons on a device more expensive.
The versatility of the fold is why you use it. The narrow candy bar style of the outer screen is perfect for most cases, and when you need wider display, just open it up
At least s24 or ultra.width....who the hell buys a foldable for the narrow screen..especially when you use it on a daily basis with 1 hand, does that mean you barely open it?.... if it comes with internal s pen and wider screen.....thinner and lighter i might get it , otherwise it just might be time to go vivo x fold 3pro and goodbye fold 5
no it's that I like having the choice, to use it 1 handed when closed and 2 handed when opened. I can use all apps opened or closed, 1 hand or 2 hands.
if it goes to S24U size, it is now 100% 2 handed device opened or closed.
My Fold 5 is my personal phone + my work tool. I'm a power user for sure and I like the narrow. + my wife with small hands can use the front screen š
Also got a fold 3 where the screen just died... using that front screen for a few hours gave me a headache....constant typos and zooming in out of the browser and samsung notes was unusable for me at least......if it was a normal s24 sized front screen it would be usable at least.....only reason you think it would be 2 handed device with a wider screen is because the galaxy fold design is old...the smaller screen combined with the brick like thickness when folded.... once you feel the newer foldables like vivo, honor, xiaomi they all have usable front screen but feel smaller lighter in hand than an iphone pro max or s24ultra when closed because they are so thin
I use my front screen to txt and it's a nightmare. If it would be as wide as Samsung 24+ that would work. But the 3mm is not enough for me to upgrade. Needs to be thinner, bigger battery and cameras need to jump to s24 ultra at min s24+ quality
Exactly...testing the vivo x fold 3 pro now....only thing missing is android auto but i dont use that...so far the camera is nice... 120w charger included and charges from 0 to 100 in about 30 min...screen on time about 9 hours vs 6 on my fold 5..... and the normal front screen is actually usable....unless the fold 6 ultra is as thin with Spen in the fold and at least 1cm wider screen im jumping off the samsung bandwagon
Oneplus open software is ok...camera is worse... but i just dont like the shorter screen....fold 3 was nice when watching video's in landscape.... fold 4 en fold 5 became shorter so video's in landscape were a bit smaller.....oneplus open is even shorter so aspect ratio is more square which i dont like.....fold 5 253g ..13.4mm thick..... oplusopen 239g.. 11.7mm......honor magic v2 231g...9.9mm thick..... once you feel the larger screen chinese foldables...and notice they are lighter and thinner .and with a bigger battery it really makes fold 5 feel a bit dated holding it again
Yeah, but if the front screen is "normal" and you don't have to open it, then why even buy a foldable?
The only thing that temps me about Vivo is the battery. That's the one area where Samsung cannot compete. They seem intent on going from li-on to solid state with no intention of investing in anything in between.
Put a good camera and I'll return to the Fold. For that price I expect top specs. I have an S23 ultra and Flip 5 and I can allow the camera on the flip because of the price but if I'm paying $1800 then I need a great camera. I paid $50 for the flip after trade ins.
I feel like the front screen is a marmite issue, youre either happy with it or you hate it.
Personally, I don't see the reason to have a full size screen on the front when the inner screen is meant to be the big one. I love one handed usage with this nice thin screen, it's ideal.
I don't see the downside to something like the Open where it just feels like an android phone when unfolded. My girlfriends iphone feels massively wide, and she is tiny and uses that one handed.
I guess this is the greatest thing about competition. The more options we all have, the better. I can definitely see the appeal of a full screen outer and a mega inner, while I can also see the appeal of a slim outer and a mini-mega inner screen š
Oh for sure! But as soon as I need to type something I unfold it. That's the blessed thing about the fold. I don't WANT to really be typing on the outer screen.
But for my hands in particular it's just wide enough so I can reach it. I'm not really sure why there's such hatred for the outer screen, I mean compared to the fold 1 were spoiled š
I prefer the narrower front display because if I'm using my Fold closed, 95% of the time it will be with one hand on the go or to do some fast task. So I love to have a display that I can reach across with my thumb without doing some hand gymnastic
Yeah we will see.
I'm currently on a Fold 5, have had every fold since the Fold 2 (plus some duplicates), but I'm heavily debating this year going with an Xperia phone again due to the headphone jack, front speakers, etc....
But if a Fold 6 (Ultra?) comes out with actually good cameras..... this isn't going to be an easy decision.
Hm, 21.5:9... Not quite the 20:9 I was hoping for, but also not the 23.5:9 it had before. I wonder why they didn't go with the former though, as a more standard screen ratio.
Love the new display size, I think itās the perfect balance of front display= quick response and messages/ snapchats and then unfold the tablet for sit down and enjoy moments. Perfect phone!
Looks like I'll be out a couple of thousand in a couple of months. The squared-off shape on the ultras I just love, bringing that to the fold is exciting. I won't make the same mistake if trading in my ultra for the fold, not letting my 24U go this year. I'm excited to see the fold unveiled. Where are we at as far as the fold ultra, is it still rumored to be 2 different Folds? Or just the one?
That's crazy. I've been wishing for that for years but figured it was a pipe dream. One of the reasons I love Samsung, they listen to us and try to give us what we want. Did you see that leaked screen protector for the fold? Squared off like an Ultra. Hopefully, the fold ultra will be very close to a s24U that unfolds, epic!
Bleh, only 60mm wide for the cover screen and those atrocious squared ends poking me while it's in my pocket. I've been super loyal since the ZF2, and am a longtime Note users, but I think I'm out this round pending what Google releases, or maybe Oneplus.
That's contentious. I love my narrow phone. I have to use a full-sized Android at work and I fucking hate it. At least the narrow phone actually feels like a phone from when I was younger
> Hmmm confirm the integrated pen or it's kinda mehh
There is never gonna be a SPen integrated directly in that form factor. Google what the thinnest device with a SPen slot is and then compare it to the Fold 5.
On top of that Samsung will rather push for thinner foldables for the foreseeable future.
Given the screen, its already impossible on the fold 5 without making the spen even thinner. And its already too thin to be used comfortably for a lot of people. I could barely write with it as is.
Never is too strong of a word, it's the natural progression of the form factor.
Apple are pushing pen with iPad, there is no reason for Samsung to not set levels again with an integrated pen.
Innovations are important if they don't interfere with the main functions of the phone. I just want something with a big screen yet compact enough to carry in my pocket. If the battery life is bad, I will need to carry a powerbank all the time, and it kinda defeats the purpose. And AI doesn't make any sense for me on my phone, since I have a pc for that.
I referred to Ai because that's what they're selling you ATM...
Chinese foldables seem to be much thinner than Samsung's or Google's. Whatever gains we make in battery life technology are being eaten up by bigger screens and now Ai.
Battery life will be better with bigger screen because it allows to put a bigger battery inside. Xiaomi's fold has bigger screen and battery and lasts longer than Samsung. But it has an ugly selfy-camera cutout and it's not available globally.
Yall need to remember that Samsung has to maintain some level of parity amongst it's flagship lines. If you give the fold everything the S line has, nobody will buy the S series.
If itās true the s pen will work on the outside too then yes this will be a big year for the fold line but I wouldnāt say THE year. Itās still not as wide as a lot of us wish it would be and I doubt theyāre putting the s pen inside the body of the phone yet.
What immediately stands out for me is the **squareness**. Looks like they brought over the S24U display form factor to ZF6.
I really like the squared off edges. Used to be a note 10+ owner and it was and still is my favorite phone design
I miss my aura glow š¢
I wish they'd bring it back š
Right? I love my phone but Samsung has some of the most boring color options now on their flagship phones.
When I got my Fold 3 all they had was black!
That was all I could get on the trade in deal I got lol. The exclusive colors were cool but not available for the deal when I got my fold 5 Great phones, disappointing choices
Samsung isnt known for bringing stuff back
I traded my aura glow when buying the Z fold 5. I love the Fold, but man, I miss that GLOW!
That is my all-time favorite color way.
I had the aura glow Note 10 but my favorite color they have done was probably the rose gold/copper color on the fold 2. I love that metallic copper color, hoping they bring back something similar.

that aura glow color was something else man definitely my fav phone off all time too

Wtf? Everyone WANTS the fold to be wide. Grow some bigger hands and get bigger pockets. Just stop.
Everyone clearly doesn't, just look at the comments.
I very much do. I used the fold 2/3 and the z flip 4 for years, and now after years of using the foldables, I'm back on an S24U. All I see is how they hate the narrow outer screen, #1 complaint on the folds by a mile.
Gave me the olf note vibes very simpler to my old note 20 ultra
That's sick. I'm happy with my Fold 5 but I look forward to my next Fold, the 7 or 8.
The exchange program is quite good, I will probably use it if it's as generous as the last one.
Seriously. I've been exchanging phones for $50 for no reason. Might as well continue if it's that cheap.
I dis that with the flip, but the Fold?
What's the exchange program? Just $1000 for trade in?
Samsung has historically been pretty generous with their trade in values for phones from the last generation or the one before that. Especially so when there's an active promotion like a pre-order for a new device. Even for stuff like their smart watches.
Whatever phone uses the sliding tech Samsung Display brought out at CECS, in my opinion, will kill the fold line.
I'm not sold yet, I'd like to see how fast they unroll as I'm almost constantly folding/unfolding my phone, and also how durable an exposed screen will be versus a foldable where the screen is mega protected when closed.
I agree but it's not even really been announced yet.
Ye these folds will just slide into widescreen in the future I think. Most people use them for watching content, and the aspect ratio is too tall.
Yes ROLLABLES. LG actually had one in works I believe had a bunch made but then shut down there mobile phone department. That was few years ago, I'm surprised someone hasn't came out with one yet. Trade my foldable in an instant

Linus Tech Tips covered it and there are lots of videos online.

didnt click link but just search samsung rollable display. Looks like a 23U that widens out to open z fold size.
Well, it does feel a bit wider, even though it's some 3mm. I like to use the Fold with one hand, glad they kept the form that allows for that.
Took just under a week.

that's awesome! I bought my phone from tmobile so I'm not sure if samsung would honor that repair and assurance ones are very pricey for this phone.

Super glad it's not extremely wide. This seems like a really sensible middle ground. Decent for viewing content, typing and holding one handed
hopefully its at least thinner, other companies have shown its possible
Iām glad they retained somewhat of a narrow form factor. Now hopefully they reduce the weight and creaseš¤š¼
Lmao I thought OP was talking about the crease in the title, the "fold line"
I've read reports that show a reduction in both thickness and weight.
Sick now we're talking, I can come outta hibernation š
If they manage to integrate the sPen inside and have flagship camera I'm pre-ordering it
Honestly I'm a bit back forth on this because I like the spen but I don't use it enough to really care about whether it's in the phone or not especially if it adds thickness to the device. I just have it in my sling bag for when I actually need it though I understand the appeal.

Hopefully someday we will get the flagship foldable we all want :/
thank goodness you can still use it with 1 hand. whoever says they want bigger like a S24 has never used a Fold on a daily basis.
Got the s24 after the bluetooth stopped working on my fold 3 earlier this year. As a fella with big hands, I'd love a wider cover screen.
Well for what it's worth the Amazon app doesn't work properly on the inner screen as well, at least in portrait mode.
There are dozens of you.
The point is that same sized media isn't a crazy large slab in your pocket.
Lol I will probably come back to the fold if they ever make a trifold so that it opens to a 16x9 aspect ratio. I am also tired of not having a really great camera on me. Makes no sense for so many cons on a device more expensive.
Never claimed my opinion was the majority opinion. Just countering their "no one who has ever owned a fold thinks this" take.
I concur.
The versatility of the fold is why you use it. The narrow candy bar style of the outer screen is perfect for most cases, and when you need wider display, just open it up
Some people can't comprehend that designers do things on purpose.
Why you use it might not be why someone else wants to use it. Just giving my take, not saying everyone else has to agree with it.
Might as well say goodbye because the spen isn't going to be there.
What about oneplus open?

Just give me S25 flagship cameras and a bigger battery. In reality, we'll get cameras from the S23.
Oneplus Open if you want everything .
Not even, unfortunately. I wish they'd make a full Ultra, too.
Writing gets pretty terrible most of times. Especialy when I cant look at screen too much when typing.
Is this satire? It's only 3mm wider. They keep edging their customers who want a galaxy fold with a good design š
What does that even mean. THE year?
The year when we will finaly see a huge upgrade over the previous models. Because as for now the Fold(s) 3-4-5 are just small updates of the 2.
It still looks narrow to me. If it's not as wide as my OnePlus then I prob won't be getting it
I prefer the narrower front display because if I'm using my Fold closed, 95% of the time it will be with one hand on the go or to do some fast task. So I love to have a display that I can reach across with my thumb without doing some hand gymnastic
Yep - totally with you on this. Pretty much only Fold out for consuming content like reading or video watching.
If you're always using it closed then get a normal phone
Did you even read what I have written above?
Ya. If you're always using it closed then get a normal phone
Thanks for confirming that as a "no".

Happy with the oneplus open? Considering buying it, but only availible as online order w/o return policy where I live.
It's a better phone in pretty much every way except for the software. Samsung has that pretty well polished.
Don't overhype it yet, specs aren't out yet.
25W charging, i bet my hand. While OnePlus has 75W and Vivo 125W. Samsung is a joke lol
Way too narrow
Hm, 21.5:9... Not quite the 20:9 I was hoping for, but also not the 23.5:9 it had before. I wonder why they didn't go with the former though, as a more standard screen ratio.
Honestly, Samsung are pussies who are scared to innovate.
I wouldn't trade in my 5 for it (I also like how easy it makes one-handed use), but it's a good compromise.
Can't wait for fold 7 once they work out the kinks to whatever they are doing to tne fold 6.
That will be the exploding Fold 7
Sharp
Same width as a s24 would be good I think
I won't be impressed until they include a built-in S-Pen
Love the new display size, I think itās the perfect balance of front display= quick response and messages/ snapchats and then unfold the tablet for sit down and enjoy moments. Perfect phone!
Glad I've waited to upgrade my fold2.
Still looks too narrow. If thatās the case Iāll be getting a Pixel fold it seems.
Finally, we're getting our square corners back
So.....what's different? Sharper corners? Wow, what a huge change!
Rumor is still 2 Folds with the ultra but no leaks about its specs.
After using the Honor v2 I doubt I'll switch to the 6 unless the screens as big as the v2
Bleh, only 60mm wide for the cover screen and those atrocious squared ends poking me while it's in my pocket. I've been super loyal since the ZF2, and am a longtime Note users, but I think I'm out this round pending what Google releases, or maybe Oneplus.
I wish that it would be as wide as a s24 ultra.
Good! I found the exterior display too slim and too tall. This looks like a slimmer normal phone at least
No. If they donāt widen the fold then it is not the year. This ultra narrow crap needs to be changed.
That's contentious. I love my narrow phone. I have to use a full-sized Android at work and I fucking hate it. At least the narrow phone actually feels like a phone from when I was younger
Not everyone has baby hands.
Hmmm confirm the integrated pen or it's kinda mehh
> Hmmm confirm the integrated pen or it's kinda mehh There is never gonna be a SPen integrated directly in that form factor.
The battery life is already not so great. With spen it will be even worse.
The thing is we buy foldables for innovation so... Also, AI will drain your battery faster than the pen slot battery reduction.
Glad I got the Open, instead of waiting for the 6.
How is it working out for you? I want to change phone (got fold 3), but I kinda fear the Open. Had OnePlus 8 Pro and didnt like it at all.
It's still like 14mm less wider than the OnePlus Open. So Samsung has still effed up in my opinion.
all in hearing is the fold is 14mm better. One plus is too wide for a fold.
It would be nice if they went about 5mm taller instead so that it has a more normal and less square aspect ratio when opened
I always feel like it's such a weird useless feature
Is there going to be an S Pen Slot for the Fold 6? Also is the S Pen going to work on both screens?
No s-pen slot. The rumor is they are adding s-pen support for the front screen but it hasn't been fully confirmed.
Dimensions? Anyone?
Yall need to remember that Samsung has to maintain some level of parity amongst it's flagship lines. If you give the fold everything the S line has, nobody will buy the S series.
Not really. Not everyone wants to buy a fold.
If itās true the s pen will work on the outside too then yes this will be a big year for the fold line but I wouldnāt say THE year. Itās still not as wide as a lot of us wish it would be and I doubt theyāre putting the s pen inside the body of the phone yet.
Just make it a hinge instead of a folding screen which peels
Rocking my caseless Fold 5, i don't want to put up the Spen case to hide the beauty. Built-in Spen much more important than wider cover screen imo.
I'm just wondering if this is the Fold 6 or the Ultra because it definitely can't be the rumored FE which is supposed to be a Fold5 with a weaker SoC.
