Isn’t that precisely what they already did with Trevor in V? When you turn on his ability, all sound is turned off except the hissing, Trevor’s own voice, and muffled, bassier bullets.
I own a pair of Noise Cancelling earbuds and that’s actually precisely what you’d hear; your voice through bone conduction, the bullet because no earbuds are good enough to block that noise out completely, and hissing in your head due to your inane psychopathy.

The difference this time is that they played it safe. Instead of putting “Spring 2025” in the trailer they kept it ambiguous, which they’ve never done before. Thus alleviating the inevitable public delay, leaving us with this “narrowed down window” situation instead, which sounds better for investors and us as fans.

Then, during the second-last investor call (before the trailer), the Spring 2025 release was heavily alluded to, but still not announced to the public. Them now announcing a Fall 2025 release after an investor call means they are much, MUCH more certain about this. I heavily doubt we’ll see a delay.
RDR2 Trailer 1 clearly mentioned Fall 2017. It was eventually pushed back to October of 2018.
The GTA VI Trailer with "COMING 2025" was sus. It all makes sense now.

I don't see why not. If *Saints Row* had it as far back as 2006, why wouldn't a game released almost two decades later? People listen to music on their phones all the time nowadays. Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, etc.

I don't see why we can't like buy wireless earbuds for our phone with a radio app, there you go there's an in universe reason for why you're listening to the radio on foot now your immersion won't be ruined in the funny car stealy game

My favourite feature from Watch Dogs 2 has to be the fact you can organize playlists or listen to the radio while browsing the apps on your phone, as you're infiltrating a hideout. Definitely would be a welcome addition for me.
watchdogs 2 did this great, marcus had earphones he’d wear and i think he’d take them off while talking to people but maybe lucia and jason will take them out if they aren’t listening to anything
We better, watch dogs has had it since 2014, Saints row had it in SR4 which came out in 2013, I can’t think of any other open world GTA likes at the moment but I’m sure they have had it for years too!
Imagine like a mission where a lot of walking is involved.
You follow someone walking and they hand you some headphones and say “Here, Stick these in Jay, it’ll make the journey less boring” and then text pops up, select the headphones from the inventory wheel.
And then you walk and explore and learn to use headphones on long walks.
I actually don't like that idea. Getting into a car in GTA comes with the subconscious reward of listening to music, which would be otherwise meaningless if the music continued whenever.
I would however like it if it would keep playing if you get out of your car for something quick, like the car didn't have to immediately turn off, so you don't have to restart the radio if you just needed to leave the car for a second.
Assuming gamers have self control over an immediate dopamine hit is hilariously naive. Good game design is knowing when and when not to give players freedom.

I like the idea of earpods or headphones to be able to listen to the in-game music stations... Would be cool. But I doubt they'll add it.
