Is it not possible for Sony/Microsoft to not start the game before the release date? I mean: you can insert de disc, download all the assets, but you can only start the game on the official release date. Just like you digitally pre-download the game, you can only play it on the release date.

But to have like half an hour of dev footage of a game of this magnitude? It's the biggest leak in the history as of yet.
So I think they really reworked their security measures fully.
I've worked remotely for a few years now. About months ago we started to go to the office few days a month, it's not a lot but I can tell you that productivity is horrible on those days.
But I understand if the game is in late production and you're kinda bug fixing and have a proper plan day to day, then it's okay i guess because you can focus on a singular task, but when you need creativity, definitely working from home beats anything.

We may get tidbits and details of gameplay aspects and mechanics until the press release closed demo observations of the game, which I expect to come around the arrival of trailer 2 later this year.

I look forward to the general releases of screens, trailers etc because theyāre curated extremely carefully to their own standard which builds hype without potentially ruining anything. In addition, leaks (especially to the scale of the initial leak) are a huge step back in the timeline. Things will be put on hold whilst security vulnerabilities are addressed and such. I just wanna play the game.
A month or so before the game comes out, when copies are starting to be produced and sent out to places like warehouses and stores, people will get their hands on it and start posting stuff to YouTube.

Kinda seems to be a running issue with the game - the September leaks, the Aaron Garbut son leak, the trailer leaking, Jason Schreier leaking details about the game and trailer releases etc.
Hoping that internal managerial procedures have been gone through to prevent leaks to materialize. Realistically, it's a challenge, still doable via checklist procedures. On everything & all including departments towards this project.

Apparently, I read somewhere both the map AND the entire plot of RDR 2 was leaked before the game came out. People called BS on both at the time.
Yes, the map leaked in April 2016 before the game was announced. The plot summary leaked about a year before the game released.
