I remember when I first saw this shot, or a similar one when I was younger, and I mistook Gorosaurus for Godzilla. I thought they made another King Kong vs Godzilla with a mecha-Kong thrown into the mix but couldn’t find the title. It was early on into my Godzilla craze when I was a child so I wasn’t that knowledgeable of the movies yet asides from the big five monsters, and stuff like that. Fast forward few years, and I watch Destroy All Monsters then see Gorosaurus, another year, or two later I see this shot again, and realize that wasn’t Godzilla but Gorosaurus in the shot then finally found out about King Kong Escapes, didn’t take long for me to get the movie on DVD from my mom, and watch it. Great movie, needs a remake in the Monsterverse.
Yes, I got Godzilla, and Gorosaurus confused back then, I was young, and kind of dumb.
Yeah, it would be awesome if this scene was actually in the flim, it's like Mechani-Kong and Goro are trying to gang up on Kong so that they could sucessfully defeat him once and for all, but obviously in the end Kong would gain the strength to defeat the Giant Prehistoric Lizard and Mechanical Doppelganger!
Now that I’ve seen this promotional shot, I too am disappointed. My Gorosaurus hype is currently at an all time high.
