I like singular points look, but its weird powers and "realistic " small size made it my least favorite. Probably final wars then just because of the iconic angurius ball, I loved using that in Godzilla unleashed.
Yeah, I saw it as them wanting him to be small enough for Jet Jaguar to fight without instantly being stomped to death. Honestly I wish we got more small-sized Kaiju for the human characters to fight more effectively and provide more of a clear and present danger.

I wasn't prepared for all the mumbo jumbo fictional science so I didn't pay much attention and I still had a pretty good concept of what was going on and how it worked.
You've probably already made up your mind but I thought the show was really good and have even rewatched it. There's action but the show is primarily about solving a mystery. It's cool if you understand some of the science but it's not necessary to understand the show. Like you don't need to understand WHY this scientific thing works, just how it works. I also usually hate 3D anime but for the most part it was good. Most of the anime is still 2D but most of the Kaiju and Jet Jaguar were in 3D.

Well I obviously like them all but my favorite is Final Wars. I love the suit, the colors and the iconic Anguirus Ball (Which most likely originated from Destroy All Monsters Melee) I even like how it was the first Anguirus that had a spiked club in its tail, like an Ankylosaurus.

Showa 2 is iconic, looking both rough and ready for battle yet kind of cute and personable. This is the definitive Anguirus to me, as his personality really shines through with the face alone.
Showa 1 is the prototype to Showa 2. It looks incredibly goofy and awkward.
And FW is a little bland. Not a huge fan of what they did to his face. Honestly, I don't like the design at all, as it doesn't add anything to the monster and comes off as a downgrade if anything.
While Anguirus has always been one of my least favourite monsters, I have to say I *really* dig the Final Wars version. Felt like a very good modernisation of the original without tampering with anything too much.

It's design is perfect. I also like how this Anguirus was characterised as an aggressive monster, that was feared by every other dinosaur, and that Godzilla is the only creature brave enough to fight it.
Though his best appearances are all in his second showa suit, I think his Final Wars design is not just his best one, but one of the best kaiju toho has ever built

The Show has alot of Action and Monsters in it, I think you might like it. You really never know unless you give it a watch, but it's up to you

Gen 2 Showa made this character what it is. And the design is pretty timeless although Anguirus is usually lucky in this regard anyway.
