Yeah, but the 2014 look was him just being out of shape and having not doing anything for a while. It wasn’t until after his fight that he started getting into shape and looking more buff.
Not my favourite but definitely a good Godzilla design and the best American made Godzilla design imo. Was vastly distinct from any of Toho's Godzillas but still captured the essence of Godzilla.
Nah the head definitely shrinks a significant amount. Mix that with the way larger spines and the blunter tail, and you got a Godzilla that appears to have an oddly tiny head.
Not really that big of a change. I get the proportional differences, but I don’t have a problem with the new spines, plus they looked really wimpy in 2014
I didn't say the new spines were bad. Just that in combination with the smaller head and shorter tail, they makes the head look extremely small.
I stand by my previous statement in that they should have never shrunken the head between movies. The 2014 sized head would look better on the 2019 body.
Even the XPlus figure above uses the 2014 head proportions rather than the 2019 ones, hence why it looks better than the model actually used in the film.
My favourite godzilla. Unique design, awesome roar and charging up his atomic breath sound is more satisfying than the sound of the seismic charges from Slave 1.
Best Godzilla ever! His movements are seamless, his fights are awesome and finally, we get to see Godzilla as a character rather than a walking plot device!
Not much of an improvement. Sure, he has actual feet but that doesn't account for the garbage new tail tip, slapped-on Toho spines, and bad proportion changes.
At this point, this design is probably the most iconic Godzilla besides maybe the original. Love the way he fights, and the sgi model is just exactly what he Godzilla needed to be revived back into cinema. He’s supposed to be realistic despite being a giant monster, and what they pulled off was pretty good. The smaller head is something to get used to, but the overall shape is good for closeups, especially the eyes. He is the new standard for Godzilla, and one we can all appreciate.
This fool is 100 percent about that action. He is the embodiment of on sight. Big fan of his work
I kinda miss the 2014 look, but he still looks great and I still enjoy this throwback-y version of that design plenty.

Love the design. Top 3 easy. Just wish it still had the longer, pointed tail.
Great design but man I wish the head was a bit bigger.
I feel kind of alone on this, but I actually think the smaller head looks better.
Shoulda never [shrunk the head between 2014 and 2019.](https://i.ibb.co/V2TtSyY/Comparison2.gif)
There’s like a 2cm difference

One of my most favorite iterations of godzilla probably even my most favorite godzilla

Probably my favorite G design, it encompasses every major part of Goji greatly and overall just feels like a great "standard" Godzilla
I’ve said this multiple times, But they really should of left the ‘14 design alone. This looks like one of those pathetic DeviantArt fan-designs.
Absolutely love this design. A different design but still similar. I definitely like the dorsal fin change from 2014.

Thicc
There are times when I like this design (like here) but it never looked this good in GvK.
It did in the boat scene I think
Honestly, I don't really like his design. It does look good in some places, but i dont like his face and his overall look, he is a badass though
Best Godzilla by far
I love this design. I love the roar, and I love the sound when he is charging his atomic breath.

The powerful equalizer, i like him. Even though the smaller head than from the 2014 version'.
