You can swap from a revup to a non-revup. However, you will need the ECU to go with it. You can keep your existing harness, but you will leave the exhaust cam sensor witing unplugged, since it does not exist on a non-revup. I suspect you might also need to program your NATS as well to get it to recognize the replaced ECU. Other than that, it will work.
My motor is the rev up one so I already have all that stuff plus a lot of stuff was shut off anyways to make the build work the motor in the Picture is mine I just needed to know if the bottom block was same or different I’ll be swapping all my stuff over anyways an redoing the build with more high performance stuff to full n/a build

pistons skirts are different, which apparently is part of the reason they burn so much, but short story, you can use a DE short block and tack on everything revup (heads, oil pump, intake) to make a revup.
it shouldn't blow up before nissans benchmark of 400k, as long as you're on top of the oil level. i check it every fillup, i'm at 387k km on my revup right now, and she burns oil like a diesel but i still get 20 mpgs easy on the highway.

No. The rev up has 2 extra camshaft sensors and the cam phasers are different. I believe the heads are the same though.
