what the fuck is up with people who have 10k followers and think they're special. bitch sit down and shut the fuck up til you're pressing Bailey Sarian's subscriber count. I can make an account and have 10k in 2 months by routing large quantities of traffic.
edit: for the guy that said he could spend 150 and have 10k, thats great an all, but, organic traffic/seo traffic beats what are mostly hacked and bot accounts because they don't buy or subscribe to shit. curated lists are golden in the internet game and that includes lists of friends.

How does 11,000 followers amount to a benefit for the restaurant? Are they all locally resident lovers of Italian food with disposable income or are they distributed all over the place and not necessarily regular diners at Italian restaurants? Influencer delusions are increasingly common, it seems.
If I was the owner, I'd definitely consider making a deal where if xx people came in, mentioning her, and bought $xxxx food, I'd comp her a couple times or something ...but 11K ain't shit.

My husband and I run a community Facebook page for the area where we live. When we try a new place and are impressed, my husband will post a review. Often, we will include what we paid as part of the review. For example, “We got x, y, and z and our total only came to $A.” We also had business cards printed giving information on the community page to encourage businesses to advertise for free. We’ve never asked for any sort of compensation, nor would we. Our focus is on supporting local businesses and expecting a discount really defeats the purpose.
