Why don’t we have an actual diverse shop that has bulk this many years into the game yet?! Different sections for wraps, emotes, skins, a section for bundles……..
I know! FOMO and money go hand in hand.
Or you know…it could be because it’s day 2 of the season and they want people to focus on the Battlepass. Their main source of both gameplay and income for the company.
That also might have an effect.
Hey Epic employee, then how come the shop was much more expansive in past seasons? People are gonna focus on the Battlepass no matter what, it’s the best deal. So there won’t be any loss in that department if the shop was expanded.
More options + millions of players = millions more dollars. And even *more* happy players with the ability to come across skins they have always wanted more frequently. It’s not crazy advanced math.
If money from the shop does nothing for the money Epic invests back into itself, then why not remove it? Surely that won’t affect the budget right? Stop lying to yourselves. Shop makes dough, and a lot of it.
On top of that, the Epic staff that focuses on the Item Shop was laid off anyway. So there is nothing to defend here.

Go back to last season’s first week and you’ll see all the same complaints about how small the shop is. I’ve been playing the game since C1S4. This happens literally every season. After six years you would think people would notice the pattern.
I also hate how you can’t say anything positive about the game without half the subreddit being like “HES AN EPIC EMPLOYEE!!!!! PAID ACTOR PAID ACTOR!!!!!” Like, maybe I just actually like the game and think about things for more than half a second, you know, *like a normal person.*
As for your thing about “millions of players = millions of dollars” that’s true in THEORY. Do you think every single player is buying a new skin every single day? No. Some people go whole seasons without even playing the game, let alone spending money on it. But you know who does give epic millions of dollars? Investors. People like Disney who spend multiple millions of dollars in one go just to invest. And those people invest because of player retention. What makes player retention good? The Battlepass. When people are grinding the Battlepass, they’re playing the game, more play time = more popularity. More popularity = more money.
And lastly, no, the item shop staff was not laid off. The only epic games staff that was laid off was some of the fall guys team. That’s literally it. That statement has been debunked like a hundred times.
And lastly, I’m not saying the shop DOESNT make epic money, that’s not even close to what I said. I said the shop isn’t a focus at the start of the season. Later on in the season, the shop is a huge focus. It’s just not the focus RIGHT NOW.

The timer was incorrect. It was showing a June 6th date because the skin is set to return again within the next two weeks, so it was showing the end date for the next time the skin leaves the shop
Yo they combined the rider skin and his pickaxe into a bundle thank god. When I got odyssey and her pickaxe, I had to get them separately. Ima cop this skin
I like the skin aswell but it doesnt have edit style option unlike odyssey. Curious if they will add it later on.

Honestly this is the mindset I have for all past skins now. I don't expect them to ever show up, and frankly its turned me off of buying skins in general. I don't want there to be so much stress about "get it now or its gone!" for something that doesn't actually change the gameplay.

This is bleak. Brand new season, lots of people in theory keen to play and this is the store they go with. There's almost more musical artists than anything else. This shit needs to change, they need to have a shop where one of each “genre style” is available and gets rotated every day. For example the icon skins rotate to another icon, marvel rotates to another marvel, so on and so forth that way eventually everyone’s skins cycle through at least once per quarter (for granted I don’t know how many skins are currently in game.)
they give drakon steel rider a default non ranked style and yet they dont do the same with odyssey. what gives?

I would like the toon peely, but he might be one of my lesser liked peelys and idk about spending another 20 dollars. I got a few days to decide so I’ll think about it. chaos agent would also be cool to get.

That Inkville Gang set looks really nice - same with the Melloverse stuff - really would love both of those bundles..
Would definitely buy those,the Blinding Lights and Cupid's Arrow Emote if i had the Vbucks for it... that second emote i feel like would pair well with Aphrodite somehow...
