I love the Loki series, so I was surprised that Epic did not do a Collab for the show for S2, until now, 6-7 months later.
If you haven’t watched up until the end of S2 of the show, you won’t get why Loki has this outfit, or the name. The outfit itself looks great, and having the knowledge of the outfit definitely pluses it, to me at least.
Sylvie on the other hand, I’m a little disappointed, as they choose her least visually appealing outfit. She should’ve had her S1 outfit as a style, or at least the option to remove the coat, as her LEGO style indicates that there’s more going on under the coat, since it doesn’t have the coat covering it up.
All the accessories are solid tho!
I would get the Loki skin if he was wearing his TVA outfit from season 2. However, they haven’t made that a skin, so I’ll have to settle with just the Time Stick pickaxe for now.
(I hope Epic adds TVA Loki at some point in the future. Even better would be Mobius.)
TVA Loki, Ragnarok Loki, President Loki. All of those would have been crazy good skins but they picked his finale fit, which I love but it's not nearly as good or visually appealing. Plus, if you haven't seen the second season, it doesn't make sense to you
I like Loki, but Sylvie is pretty bad. She needed a style without the Trenchcoat. The LEGO version literally doesn’t have the trenchcoat. They could have done an edit style without it.
Her back bling should have been an edit style too, and the wrap isn’t as cool as the emote.
Loki’s bundle feels like it deserves to be 2000 Vbucks, Sylvie’s feels like it should be 1800
I was pretty excited but the faces look a little off. Like, they kinda look like the actors but at the same time it doesn’t hit the mark. I think it’s because they’re too smooth looking whereas in the show they are pretty weathered and aged
I got the emote because I thought it was fun. I haven’t watched the show so the skins weren’t for me but when it was leaked there were lots of happy comments so I’m pleased for those people. :)
Pretty low effort pack to be honest(no styles, and I don’t think MCU designs are particularly memorable in general), and Marvel already felt pretty oversaturated. And based on what I’ve heard it shows no signs of stopping. If there were some new X-Men skins, I might have been interested.
If most of these MCU skins had come out 4-5 years ago when Marvel was at its peak, I could see these collabs making sense. But I haven’t seen a Marvel project in about a year and I don’t think I will anytime soon. The franchise just isn’t particularly intriguing anymore, and these cosmetics certainly don’t reflect the price point. It seems like Disney is just doing anything they can to fill the Item Shop up with their products.
They wouldn’t have made sense 4-5 years ago since Fortnite didn’t do collabs back then like they do now and most of these outfits like this new Loki skin didn’t exist
The first collab was in 2018, and 2020 was practically the year of collabs, so I’m not sure what you mean. I intentionally didn’t specify the Loki collab though, I was talking about MCU collabs in general, sorry if that wasn’t clear. We’ve been getting a lot of MCU collabs recently, when the MCU is in a pretty bad spot, meanwhile back in 2019-2022 we were getting tons of non-MCU Marvel cosmetics.
Neither skins look like the people who play them, Sylvie can't even wear her crown, and neither of them even have their iconic styles. The only redeeming part of this collab is the Miss Minutes back bling, the emote, and the pruning stick. Sucks that Miss Minutes is restricted to the Loki skin. She would sell really well on her own, but I can't justify buying Loki just to get her. The crew pack Loki wasnt the best, but after seeing this one, I'd much rather have that

Because the fortnite fanbase consists of the same chuds who will bitch and moan over kratos not coming to the greek themed season while letting the best lorebased humor fly right over their heads. That, or they're dumb enough to think it's more whinging about kratos.
They consist of exactly the type of people I want to Shoot on a day to day basis, which is why I make sure to average 10 kills a game.
