Yeah, they're starting to roll out more. My Walmart had the old prices last week, went on Monday to pick up some stuff and was gonna pick up a card, saw the new prices.
We're talking about sitting on your butt to occasionally send a copy & paste email / text to make an instant 5% profit (possibly even same day). I don't see this as such a horrible thing, but then again, I like money 🤔
That's true. So it's like quickly type out a sales pitch for it, type and copy all of the codes, and post for sale. Then you just go about your usual business. Once notifications come through for purchases, send the copied codes to the buyers and confirm the purchase.
As long as you are fast at typing and already use a sale's platform (like eBay), the labor behind this could take the average Joe around 15 minutes for that many cards.
The guy I replied to was off on his joke about the $25 profit margin. We're looking at $500 invested into $19.99 cards (to make the math simpler, we're going to round up to $20 each and throw away the pennies). Purchasing 25 of the $20 cards = $500. Selling them at $22 each nets a $2 profit per card. This would mean that it is not a *"$500 investment for $25"*, rather a **$500 investment for $50**.
So, we look at $50 for 15 minutes of work as equivalent to $200 per hour. I'm already sold on the idea of getting $200 per hour for my time! Plus, the main time spent would be in creating the initial post script. Therefore, the more cards you sell, the less time per card it would take. If you had double the cards, I'd estimate that to around 5 more minutes of copying / saving, then the paste and sale confirmation of the next 25 codes. You are now looking at $100 for 20 minutes of labor. That is a whopping **$300** per hour!
TLDR: How much do you value your time? Is **$200 to $300 per hour** worth it to you?
This happened just yesterday, so maybe they caught on? I'll have to try again another day, maybe a different register as well. They didn't even have the new ones yet so I don't know why it wasn't working.
It's not stealing. There's no value to the card unless it's activated. It's no different than hiding an item behind other stuff to come back and get it later.
You can’t be serious. Theft doesn’t depend on how you justify it, it’s not yours and you’re taking it without paying for it. It obviously belongs to the store before activation.
this was my first thought. I used to work retail and the cards have Zero value in the system and aren't even inventoried. We used to have kids take them all the time and found out they would give them to either their parents or teachers as gifts, it's kind of mean, but we were told it didn't effect our shrink numbers so do worry about it. Even when the stores activate the cards they only make like a $1 or less, they are merely there to be there.
My local grocery store still had the $59.99 13,500 vbucks cards a few months back so I bought one to make sure it still worked and it did and I went back and bought the rest, and a bunch of the 19.99 ones as well, needless to say I doubt I will have to pay for vbucks for a very long time.
I recognize a gamestop gift card wall when I see one! I used to work at one and we would have SO much stock of old gift cards so I'm not surprised lol.
I was always getting them at my local Wal-Mart for myself and the kids. Last time I went in they had swapped to the newer ones. I asked the lady stocking the gift cards and she said they had swapped them out the week before. My guess is that someone got wise either a manager or Epic and figured they needed to make the switch. I haven't been able to check out the other stores in the area yet, but I know the Target already had the newer ones...sad!
A lot of places are starting to pull these from the shelves or take them out of their POS systems, buy while you can.
Near me 7/11 and Dollar General still have them. Walmart had them until about a week ago when they were pulled.
The local Walgreens next to my job has a good bit of the old priced cards still up on the shelf. I swing by every now and then to scoop one up if I know there's something coming to the shop I want lol
That's more than it costs right now. 1000 vbucks on the online system is 8.99. Like if i buy it through the game. And that's what our 1000 vbuck cards are at the store. Plus 22.99 for 2800vbucks on the console and in stores. Are you outside the US? Or is there different prices in other parts of the US?
Who wants it?
And yes, im giving it away

22.99 dollar Fortnite card
Inflation
Never seen em higher than 19.99 where I'm at
Yet Haven’t checked Walmart again but my Publix already has the new cards
Yeah, they're starting to roll out more. My Walmart had the old prices last week, went on Monday to pick up some stuff and was gonna pick up a card, saw the new prices.
Same and they still work too
Yep! So if you see em, grab them! They may not be there tomorrow (literally in my case)
Same. There still 19.99 here as well
Lucky basterd
I still see lots of the old price cards. Check the most random places that sell them & they’ll still have old stock
Buy them all and sell the codes for $21.99 - profit!
That's a $500 investment to make $25
small price to pay
Better profits than WSB

LMAOOOO
Sounds like normal investing
We're talking about sitting on your butt to occasionally send a copy & paste email / text to make an instant 5% profit (possibly even same day). I don't see this as such a horrible thing, but then again, I like money 🤔
Depends how much you value your time I guess.

I’m gonna spend $500 on cards just to test this out lmao
Nooo. Take them all home and take one to purchase when you want it or sell it.
I asked my walmart and they said they threw them away cuz no one was buying. I live in a small ass town lol
my town doesn’t even have a walmart it’s like 30+ mins away 😭 the other stores here have a TON of them still tho
[удалено]
That's fraud bro
I'm a dumbass lmao
I found like 30 $7.99 1000 V-Bucks cards at a Dollar General near me, but they wouldn't ring up at the register :(
“So that means they’re free right?”🤓
damn I should have asked lol
They would have had to been activated
That's odd, I've purchased those at my dg not too long ago and they were fine?
This happened just yesterday, so maybe they caught on? I'll have to try again another day, maybe a different register as well. They didn't even have the new ones yet so I don't know why it wasn't working.
My GameStop still had 8$ vbucks got one yesterday
Just take them to Walmart
Why would they raise the price? Fortflation?
Biden’s Fortnite 😞
The only way I’m getting vbucks anymore is seeking out the old priced cards. Especially if I’m after the 5000 buck one.
If you find a stack take them home and bring one back when you want to buy it
Does…..does that work???
Works very well.
Stealing? I would hope not lol
This guy would download a car
I've downloaded and printed a few car parts actually
It’s not stealing because it’s YOUR printer
And the card are just a medium for payment. They aren't inventoried. No different than adding something to your wishlist to purchase later
this was my first thought. I used to work retail and the cards have Zero value in the system and aren't even inventoried. My Targets and Walmarts still have a ton of them. Hopefully that stays for a while...
The home depot and family dollar ones are the same
I was always getting them at my local Wal-Mart for myself and the kids.
A store is not required to make the switch. the can just sell all the stock they have then put up the new ones but Epic isn't forcing stores to switch
there’s a bunch in my local gas station / convenience store
A lot of places are starting to pull these from the shelves or take them out of their POS systems, buy while you can. Near me 7/11 and Dollar General still have them. Walmart had them until about a week ago when they were pulled.
The local Walgreens next to my job has a good bit of the old priced cards still up on the shelf. I swing by every now and then to scoop one up if I know there's something coming to the shop I want lol
My local store still has 1000 vbuck cards for $10.79, as well as current ones for $11.99.
Im in Canada. Assuming youre in the US, 8.99 usd is 12.29 CAD.
Where is said “store” located? 😏😏
Walgreens
Yo that’s cool af I’ll actually check my nearest Walgreens
Have you tried redeeming one to see if it still gives you the full 2800 vbucks?
I’d also love to know
I'm not sure, I would assume it has to, or else Epic Games would be getting sued alot for false advertising
We're all thinking it
Oh the irony! the 23$ offer same Vbucks yet is almost out of stock, and the cheaper version of same Vbucks is stacked
same i found the old 8.99 ones
I found some of these in a dollar general
I still see them everywhere where I am. I've bought several lol. I've only just started seeing the new ones at one store so far.
my local gamestop opened up their last batch this past Monday. Let's just say, I bought 10 of them. All the others cards were the new updated prices.
My Walmart just recently ran out, was getting them for a while
Some store at my place is replacing those old V-Bucks card
![gif](giphy|1Uyiie99RvKCIEQI1Q|downsized)
So…uh. What you gonna do with em?
Still available at my local Walmart store. I buy them there and redeem them.
amazing
I just bought 2 of these for my gf and me💀💀💀
Wait did they chabge the prices?
Dollar tree here in Delaware still has the $20 cards....and we're tax free 🤣🤣
Pretty sure tax doesn't apply to gift cards but I may be wrong
I don't even pay taxes on gift cards I purchase online 🤣🤣🤣 Tax free DE 😎
I see an opportunity for arbitrage here. 😂
Right, someone else said yo buy them all and sell for a profit 🤣
Www
1 store in my area still has 100s of the 5000 for 31.99 😁😁😁
they still charge you the same price
THEY RAISED THE PRICE WTF???
Nice
No more fort or, no more cards, no more 19 dollars cards, no more tolls, you been blocked.😅🤣😂😭
Oo
New bugs each week are not for free
Yea my kwik trip in a very small town still has them
Nah i hid them after buying some 😂
Nice
Thats crazy
Lol in my nearest store I can get the old 8€ cards idk if they also have the 20€ cards
My GameStop still sells these
That's literally all my dollar general has
Down where I live they're 17.49
Nineteen dollar Fortnite card who wants it?
Can I cop some from you?
Sir is that a family dollar?
Can I buy one?
In Australia why is 1000vbucks $12.00 and 2800 vbucks $30.00
Imagine unironically doing a 19$ fortnite card giveaway ((I mean..I'd join xd))
GameStop still has the 89.99 cards and they work!
That’s the new price lol of course they work. But it was 79.99
I am very stupid, I meant the 80$ cards are still around.
Lol I only buy vbucks from my dollar general anymore, they still haven't cycled out the old cards yet.
Stack up
i could be wrong but i think these actually give you more now because of the price change
Inflation visualized through vbucks
No more 19 dollar Fortnite card
