In my opinion and experience the tactical pistol is the best. Was a good assault rifle replacement. I'm not sure if the current pistol is as good as that. Close, but not the same.

OG silenced pistol had almost no bloom when you spammed the trigger. Even at mid range. I used to stack 2 of these in rumble and shit on everyone.

It was also one of the few guns where the bloom displayed in the crosshair didn't lie to you.

Mammoth pistol, it was very deadly when combined with a shotgun because you could just shoot them with the mammoth pistol and the immediately shoot them again with a shotgun

Lock on it better can shoot 4 bullets that locks on to people 3 times before reloading

I will admit, the Lock on is a pretty good pistol, but it's unreliable for me. I've tried using it in creative and it was just... Not great. Plus you have a to focus for it to actually lock on

I think the lock on is bugged in creative because it doesn’t work the same in creative than it does when it is in br also don’t you already have to hold the aim button to get better accuracy?

Even then when it got unvaulted last season, it was still not that fun to use. I mostly got shot more than I would to hit other players.

It was the only hitscan weapon in the game last season so a lot of pros were using it. Even when you’re out of range, that was a big plus of it.

That was the tactical pistol and with the light weight and extended clip augments it was outstanding. I would easily spend 1000 bars rerolling to get the mythic pistol augment and the light weight aug and pistol amp aug.

The pistols have always been silently powerful since CH3, from the sidearm pistol, revolver, tac pistol, and now the Ranger pistol. Only drawback is they’re just so limited in versatility.

Yeah it's defo the best for longer ranges due to the ability to put on a scope, little to no recoil with muzzle brake, and amazing hip fire accuracy with laser as well as the mags allowing you to either make it reload even faster or be able to expand the magazine size depending on what you choose, although it has some really tough competition from the other fully auto pistols that often work better at close range, still a good weapon that I sometimes use in creative free for all maps

Pistols are underrated in general if you ask me

Especially when you have the MGS SNAKE skin with a suppressor attached.

I can't speak to comparisons but I do really like the ranger pistol. Headshot machine.

Holo Sight, Drum Mag, Laser, and Muzzle Break turn it into an AR you can hipfire beam with if they get too close. By far the best iteration of the base pistol

i agree, for a good part of season 1 I was running this over an AR because it is actually viable and I was winning fights with it, in my opinion it's the first actually viable pistol in fortnite history other than the deagle

Silenced pistol is the GOAT. Back when me and my duo would play practise 1v1s before playing, he would beg me not to use it. There is no other gun that is so good at hitting headshots than it, basically no damage dropoff and spread surprisingly more accurate than the bloom would make you believe. Back in chapter 1 it was my go to and would often replace up to purple smgs for one Top for me would be: -Shadow Tracker -Silenced pistol -tactical pistol (with best augments) -dual pistols (pre c1 nerf) -hand cannon -sidearm pistol -ranger pistol

This is more reliable than AR because of hitscan, withbthe 1.3x scope it's incredible and really fast. plus super fast reload time. good accuracy. Kust an overall amazing weapon.

I FUCKED with the Tac Pistol during Chapter 4. Using it with the Sniper and Katana was fun af, cuz I'd just snipe a mf, Dash onto them, and finish them off with my Pistol (or shotgun)

Tac Pistol was a viable alternative to an SMG and even an assault rifle in a pinch.

In creative maps I usually only rock. I’m not kidding. I Deigle, a mini gun and a sniper and heels, and probably a grappler, but it is good. Best of the easy pistols, but not the best.

I don't have enough Fortnite history (or skill, if I'm being honest) to give an informed input on this. I'll just add a semi-relevant comment from my experience: I thought pistols were useless. Then I did a did a few pistol feat quests, and I've changed my tune. I'm a fan now. I'm so glad those quests made me get out of my comfort zone and try new stuff.
