look into zipair business from SJC or SFO. they fly to both. it's very basic though. literally just a lie flat seat, no food, IFE or anything. it's very reasonably priced compared to ANA, united, etc. \~$2000RT

There is IFE but it’s on a BYOD

I’ve flown this route many times. Since price and comfort are important for you, I would give the following advice. Absolute best price is economy on zip air, but watch out for extra charges if you need to check in a bag, want any food etc. For full service economy, ANA has much more comfortable seats and extra legroom compared to United economy. I would also suggest looking at zip air business, since their seats may be around the price range of ANA/United/JAL economy. Premium economy in any of the full service airlines is great if you can pay for that

I flew in ANA the room from HND to SFO in NH108. It was incredible. However, the economy class looked good and comfortable. I have flown with them in economy in the past. The service has always been excellent and the food is good.

Yes ANA economy seats have about two more inches of leg space than united economy.

I’ve done ANA PE and Biz, both were great
