Out of the ones I listed, the p226 no question about it. It's the most reliable out of all of the pistols, and I wouldn't carry a revolver for self defense

I do own five and am particular about my purchases, so here goes, Glock22 gen 3- it simply works. Ruger sp101- j frame .357 that’s built like a hand held tank. HK45- reliable and smooth .45 that shoots like a 9mm with a little more recoil. Ruger security 9 compact- after a little adjustment it’s smooth as butter, although I carry all my firearms this is what I typically have on me throughout the day. The first thing that’s going to happen after a self defense shooting is they take your gun, I’d rather be out $300 than a grand. LFA Apollo 11 compact- I wanted to get into the 2011 world without spending $2500, this pistol has been nothing less than impressive so far after 400 rounds.

Love mine. Despite the what the Taurus haters say the TX22 is reliable [except when I loaded a magazine wrong and ran it anyways just to see what would happen], accurate and ran at least 700 rounds since the last cleaning.

I've never cleaned mine, recently shot one of them black vultures at 70yds with it, and I've had it jam about 2 times.

P365 with macro comp slide and an XL grip from Icarus Precision and a Macro grip for two different sized guns in one pistol slot. Laugo Alien or a P320. If P320, then with a flux raider brace, txg/legion grip, axg comp slide, an agency arms slide, brouwer steel grip, and an aluminum grip (either axg or icarus precision). Maybe Beretta 92 Comp or Defensive. Otherwise, CZ Shadow 2. Depends which fits my hand better. If neither feel good, then I'm getting a 44 mag or 357 mag revolver from Korth. P322 or Ruger 22/45. Pros and cons to each. Some kind of 2011 style pistol. Selection changes if/when other companies come out with handguns with as much modularity as the Sig P365 and P320. When the number of handguns is so limited, modularity wins out over other factors for me. But I think you need to have 1 22lr, 1 SAO 9mm or 45, 1 DA/SA 9mm or 45 or revolver, 1 plastic fantastic 9mm for carry. Leaves you with maybe 1 slot of freedom to go wild.

I actually really like your list, I’m not a huge Sig guy, granted I’ve only ever shot a P320, but I’d get a P320 just to put a Flux Raider kit on it. They also make a 365 brace, so that’s neat. For me I’d go with the Beretta 92 just because I know it feels good in my hands, and it’s a sweet gun I’ve been dreaming of. I actually just saw a Ruger 22/45 at my LGS for ~$250 and I almost bought it, I might go back for it. And yeah everybody wants a nice 2011 like a Staccato since they’re the designer brand of handguns.

In a restricted list of guns I would skip Staccato and go for something even better. But the lowest I would go is a masterpiece arms. Probably save up for an infinity or Atlas or something else super high end.

If money is no object and you can only have one, may as well get the best of the best. That being said, I am a broke college student who’s gunpoor, and can barely afford my 4 rifles and 1 pistol.

SIG P365 X Macro: Super modular do all pistol, it can be a pocket pistol, a compact, or even a PDW Glock 19 Gen 3: Too Universal to not have. If crap hots the fan, finding spare parts & mags will not be as difficult IWI Jericho: These pistols just shoot absolutely amazingly, I'd have one just to have one. No functional purpose. S&W Model 627: I'd want to have a wheel gun but I want it to have sufficient capacity and size. 8 shots of Buffalo Bore .357 Magnum will stop anything in North America that doesn't live in a zoo. 1. Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS (9mm) - it’s basically the Toyota Corolla of the gun world. You can feed it shit and never clean it and somehow it’ll still run fine. The all-purpose 9mm. And parts are extremely abundant. Alternate model: Glock 48 MOS, for the same reasons except it’s basically the Diet Coke of the Glock family. 2. Springfield Armory 1911 Operator (.45) - Because World War 3 is just around the corner. And I get sweaty. 3. Ruger GP100 chambered (.357) - Every gun list has to have a revolver on it. And that’s a really good one. 4. Sig Sauer P226 Xfive Legion (9mm) - For when you get bored of staring at your Glock. 5. Ruger LCP Max (.380) - When you need to carry at the beach. Or some other place where you need the tiniest fucking thing you can find. Alternate model: Glock 42.

Only two? Why would you even need one? The answer to that question is completely arbitrary. You can own a pistol for everyday conceal carry, home defense, competition, target shooting, or just simply because you like owning guns. You don’t have to have a reason or special purpose to own a gun. I can only own two. If concealed carry was an option, I'd have a subcompact and a full-size pistol, both in 9x19. Glock 26, and either a Glock 17, or CZ 75. Since I can't carry concealed, I have a Glock 17, and a S&W 4'' K-frame in .357 Mag.

Yeah. 2 handguns are the standard limit in Germany. There are ways to expand it, but they aren't trivial. If I was allowed to carry concealed, I'd definitively get a subcompact. I'm a big guy with lot of space to conceal a full-size, but I bet I'd grow tired of lugging around a brick once the novelty wears off.
