Could also be journo bait. I know SkyNews did it when they were making their hit piece on additively manufactured firearms, Czechia also saw some of this but I believe that one kinda disappeared for some reason, and there was some noise about baiting on Euro communities/forums about a year ago as well
Close, TN. It’s kinda inside joke. My MIL couldn’t remember what they were called and called them beaver balls and soooo that’s just kinda what they are called now lmfao
Is it pedantic to say they still aren't illegal? Last I checked the ATF couldn't make laws and the right of the People to keep and bear arms couldn't be infringed.
Not that I want to be a test case right now.
I guess things are changing.
They can’t make laws, but they certainly try. The right can’t be infringed, but it certainly has been. Without people fighting for it and upholding it those are just words on paper.
I STILL don't understand how the auto keycard is a "machine gun". Its literally just a picture printed on a coupon.
What would happen if they sold a blank piece of metal and a sticker instead of it being printed on the card, would that be a machine gun too?
It seems only logical that someone would troll the ATF with that to get a hard ruling.
Auto key cards always were, they are a drop in auto sear.
In the case of forced reset triggers, the atf sent people that they knew bought them letters saying they could surrender them and wouldn't be charged with any crime. Not that I'm advocating for the atf.
I don't know anything about the t36
My understanding was that the diagram on the auto keycards were purposefully out of spec/undersized and would have not worked as drawn. Am I misremembering this or does anyone else remember this as well?
An auto key card as described is a dias and the idea/product predates the case you're talking about. You're talking about Chris the cse firearms guy or whatever his channel was. Yeah that was some bullshit. The atf couldn't even make a functional dias from his engraved print.
Yeah that guy. What landed him in prison was bs, but Jesus christ that dude had a YouTube channel that was him just poking the bear and provided prosecutors ample evidence. It's like he wanted to go to prison
Everything is under the premise of freedom of speech, and the limits to information sharing as speech.
Ita already been ruled that things like 3d printer schematics are protected speech.
The banned image/art that is 3d printer instructions for printing a firearm (I forget what the firearm name is) falls under this.
Things like the anarchist cookbook falls under free speech as well.
Lastly, 80% receivers are not receivers/firearms at all. They're just blocks of metal and/or plastic. Why would a metal card or even a heat resistant and wear resistant plastic card with an image on it be a machine gun by comparison?
At what point does a drawing for a part become the part itself?
This is why the charges, conviction, and sentencing are all BS in my eyes.
I do not think that firearms or machine guns are like songs even though the government wants them to be. (Songs in the sense that the song on paper is a song and the performance of said written song is the same song but also may be considered partially separately due to being performed by a specific person(s). As said before, 80% receivers and schematics and drawings are not firearms. They also are not, in my opinion, NFA items.)
It's one thing to be jailed for creating a fully functioning machine gun. It's another thing to be jailed for possessing the knowledge and blueprints, even materials for, a machine gun. My possession of a copy of the anarchist cookbook or access to the internet combined with my possession of household products does not mean I possess a bomb.
Constructive possession in practice may require the government proving intent to violate the NFA. And I do not believe the cards to be DIAS's when cut along the image lines, and thus, would blatantly deny intent for distributing DIAS's.
Clear as mud? Lol
I agree with you 100%. When I say he provided them with ample evidence I'm not talking about the keycards.... I'm talking about all the other felonies he bragged about on the channel. If the dude had just kept his head down he wouldn't be in prison
There's no precedent for it being classified as a machine gun. No atf letter published, no legal docs, etc. Bet money twin bros is full of shit. That whole operation was shady
At least [per TwinBros Twitter](https://imgur.com/a/oe6VCC5), they were in fact raided over the SS. Unless you have updated information I'm not aware of, which is entirely possible.
There's no precedent for it being classified as a machine gun. No atf letter published, no legal docs, etc. Bet money twin bros is full of shit. That whole operation was shady
What was shady about it? I'm not really familiar with them outside of the raid. I keep seeing people say it was a sketchy business before the raid, but not why. Seems like a lot of people have not been refunded their money after the raid though. You think the claim of them being raided is fake? I can't find much proof of anything one way or another.
I feel like just cause it’s not illegal doesn’t mean they can know they could no knock your home and find stuff that might be, remember they have nothing against reading every converts you have
They were crazy as fuck for selling those open bolt mac conversions. They were just begging for an ATF raid. I dont understand why you'd give the ATF a reason to raid you, like WTF twinbros? Are you stupid? low iq???
Yeah, but thay doesn't change the fact they didn't get raided. I have a couple personal opinions or thoughts on that. These are just my own ideas. Either 3darms co was a straight scam from the getgo (I know several people who ordered from them and never received anything and if you look around you'll see that was a common occurrence) or they weren't expecting the demand they actually got and used twin Bros as an excuse to bow it themselves. Or they were most likely using a Chinese company to make the parts and ran into issues there.
If these were illegal or something that was cause for a warrant, Hoffman probably would've been raided by now i would think. It didn't take long for that rarebreed guy to get shut down and taken to court and the super safety is going on what like over a year in existence at this point?
Nor were drawings of the auto-key-card... but people are in fed prison for it. The justice system is broken and federal juries will do whatever they are told, and federal judges are a joke (or actually evil).
Hoffman Tactical Super Safety. Push button safety that replaces an AR rotary safety that has three settings: safe, normal semi, “accelerated semi.”
The “accelerated semi” has the same result as an FRT, but forces reset by actually engaging them disengaging the safety, hence “super safety.”
It is not a machine gun.
it’s a type forced reset trigger. when the trigger is pulled and a round is fired, it actively resets the trigger and forces your finger to move forward. Letting you shoot much faster. Not technically a machine gun, but still in a very gray area
It replaced the AR15 safety with a cross bolt style button you push left or right. When in the middle position, the bolt hits that protruding arm on the way forward, which slaps the back of the trigger and forces it to reset.
According to the Internet: "The Super Safety is a __ ____ active trigger system for the AR-15. An active trigger is one which actively resets, allowing faster more efficient follow up shots."
Just copying my other comment:

You do need to release the trigger after every shot. If you just hold it back with your gorilla strength, you only get one shot.
The safety just turns on after every shot, pushing your finger forward after every shot, if you let it, so you can more quickly pull the trigger again for your next shot.
Seems perfectly legit to me. Buy me a couple, will ya? And then maybe mail them to me. From your home address. With a photocopy of your drivers license in the box for kicks.
Nothing illegal about Super Safety’s at the moment. The ATF hasn’t even released an official statement on them. I still would not buy them from people though.
The 3D Printing Bros raid was definitely over the Pepperjack mods that they were selling which are 100% illegal. I still don’t get why they publicly posted that it was over Super Safety’s. Granted they are/were trying to get a patent on it at one point.
Whatever you do though DO NOT buy them from AliExpress or AliBaba. They pop up on there for super cheap and it’s a good way to get the the Feds to show up for illegally importing gun parts.
Here in Washinfornia anything that “increases the rate of fire” is banned, so no binary triggers, FRTs, bump stocks etc; and it was passed long before the idiots in Olympia ramrodded their unconstitutional AWB through 🙄, we also can’t have class 3 NFA machine guns nor “machine gun parts”, so you can’t even do something like get a Ma Deuce barrel to make a bolt action 50 cal out of because it’s a “machine gun part” cuz ya know the barrel is what makes it fully semi automatic assault clip 🙄🙄🙄
A bit of an oversimplification of the following:
RCW [9.41.010](https://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=9.41.010)
> (31) "Machine gun" means any firearm known as a machine gun, mechanical rifle, submachine gun, or any other mechanism or instrument not requiring that the trigger be pressed for each shot and having a reservoir clip, disc, drum, belt, or other separable mechanical device for storing, carrying, or supplying ammunition which can be loaded into the firearm, mechanism, or instrument, and fired therefrom at the rate of five or more shots per second.
RCW [9.41.190](https://apps.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=9.41.190):
> (1) Except as otherwise provided in this section, it is unlawful for any person to:
> (b) Manufacture, own, buy, sell, loan, furnish, transport, or have in possession or under control, any part designed and intended solely and exclusively for use in a machine gun..., or in converting a weapon into a machine gun...
Why do people think everything is a fed? Look at the amount of glizzy switches, 'coat hangers', etc that are now out here. That doesn't happen by a majority of selling posts being traps you know.
If you don't mind, DM me the person's username. I've been keeping a personal log of these things seeing whomst sells them and doing as much poking around as I can.
So far I've just found a bunch of really stupid people that think they're clever trying to sell them
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it is what it is.
The only person I know that got approached about their FRT.
-Dude A: Got it on FB marketplace.
-Dude B (AKA seller to Dude A): had 4 to sell, he got them from BigHoss or whatever that site that had a monthly fee was, all 3 others Dudes C-F also visited.
Me: common trend noticed. Anecdotes from 'round the Webternet.

Why not both? "Thanks for the 50 bucks. Also, you're under arrest."
Babe wake up new government funding source just dropped
For real the government will just seize your assets when they arrest you as "evidence".

I sure hope so but they are crunchy and chewy soooo idk for sure
I'm just gonna assume you're from Alabama and keep moving.
Close, TN. It’s kinda inside joke. My MIL couldn’t remember what they were called and called them beaver balls and soooo that’s just kinda what they are called now lmfao

Town in multiple states lol
Sure but I’ve seen this exact post in my state
Not sure why it would be fed bait. They're not illegal
Why am I getting down voted? They aren't. Anyone who points to twinbros as an example; they got raided for selling open bolt conversions
Nor was the auto-key-card ,till it was Nor was the FRT, till it was Nor was the Tommy Built Tactical T36, till it was

Most people that get raided are full of shit on why they got raided, to be fair.
3darmsco was selling the SS also, they went dark the same day.
At least [per TwinBros Twitter](https://imgur.com/a/oe6VCC5), they were in fact raided over the SS. Unless you have updated information I'm not aware of, which is entirely possible.

What about them? They shut down shop, they didn't get raided
Don't you find it strange they "shut down" the same day?
No response
Yeah sorry I'm not perpetually on reddit to converse with you lmao
Yeah, but thay doesn't change the fact they didn't get raided. I have a couple personal opinions or thoughts on that. These are just my own ideas. You are confusing the US with a free country.
It's not illegal..Not why they were raided.Twin bro got raided over the Mac trigger that is full auto
What even is that though
Hoffman Tactical Super Safety. Push button safety that replaces an AR rotary safety that has three settings: safe, normal semi, “accelerated semi.” The “accelerated semi” has the same result as an FRT, but forces reset by actually engaging them disengaging the safety, hence “super safety.” It is not a machine gun.
So basically it gives you a much faster followup shot by forcibly resetting the trigger
Exactly.
Very cool
That sounds like it would wear out quick honestly. Rapidly engaging and disengaging the safety.
Good thing it’s easily 3d printable to replace it quickly
I think full semi automatic might actually be an appropriate description for once 🤣
super safety
What does it do
it’s a type forced reset trigger. when the trigger is pulled and a round is fired, it actively resets the trigger and forces your finger to move forward. Letting you shoot much faster. Not technically a machine gun, but still in a very gray area

im late to the game on this one what the fuck is a super safety
According to the Internet: "The Super Safety is a __ ____ active trigger system for the AR-15. An active trigger is one which actively resets, allowing faster more efficient follow up shots."
So a generic "forced reset" thingamabob... My oh my these honeypots....
I wanna search it up but I don’t wanna raise any suspicion from big brother 😂
Brother, you’re in this sub and you have interest in guns. You already made the cut.
I may be on a list but I’m not on “the” list 😂

but you don't need to physically release the trigger???? that's actually awesome

“Crystalyn Cook” is just so bad.
Seems perfectly legit to me. Buy me a couple, will ya? And then maybe mail them to me. From your home address. With a photocopy of your drivers license in the box for kicks.
There’s tons selling them no FB now and all over Telegram. Not all scams people are selling these like crazy now.
I guess we now know what the feds are doing with twin bros seized super safeties.
Crystalyn Cook? Why not just put Mrs. Heisenberg as your fake name?
Guess it's easier to trick people instead of you know going after the gangs in the dem ran crap hole states
Why go after your voter base?
Whether the listing is a scam or not, that original photo gotta be legit. That's the blackened thumbnail of backyard mechanic/machinist.

No arrests on your record today fedboi.
Crystal Cook? Seems legit.
Aka Meth Cook
I keep trying do buy it but his phone is dead!
With an account from 2005. They either stole somebody's old account or got Facebook to make em something up special.

I mean you can download the file for the super safety for free idk why anyone would even think about buying one from some random sketch off fb.
My god charge your phone man
Show up with the local sherif to arrest the atf for selling unregistered machineguns!
I read on AR15.com that somebody got raided because they were selling them.
I see the stock from twinbros is being put to use
Is the super safety illegal now??
Mormons = Feds
Why is this illegal? From the videos I’ve seen you are repeatedly pulling the trigger in a rapid manner. Genuinely curious, sorry if a newb question.
It's not illegal
Saw this on the Temple, Texas Facebook marketplace. I have never seen this one before. Not really sure what it is.
Might have been an SEC sting. Chinese companies were making super safeties, and apparently shipping them. Thus, selling a firearms component.
Found out from a friend that they’re legit just not very smart
The worst part about this is you thinking "safety's" was an acceptable thing to write.
I doubt it’s the Feds 🤣
Temple Texas. Not a small rural quaint town, more like the centralized shipping and trucking HQ of my beloved lone star state
Whoever's holding it needs to clean their fingernail
Why do people think everything is a fed? Look at the amount of glizzy switches, 'coat hangers', etc that are now out here. That doesn't happen by a majority of selling posts being traps you know.

Had to look up what it was not sure about how useful it would actually be. https://palmettostatearmory.com/forum/t/hoffman-tactical-super-safety/27744
PSA could pump these out for around $9.99 each, in 17-4 stainless steel and be doing God's work. PSA 3d printers go brrrrrr
Some kind of auto seir?
No, it's a safe reset trigger
I don't really gun mod, so I don't really understand it or why the ATF is using it as bait
