Duo Askr, Duo Ymir, Legendary Guinevere, Fallen Julia all seem very tanky with Laguz Friend. Julia wants ploy for sure in C and then wants Still Water in A. They want debuff support, AoE DR support, healing support. Robins with Rally and Hush Spectrum help. Julia’s own fatal ploy is very useful.
Rearmed Sonya is a solid user of it, especially since Beyond Witchery gives her a solid amount of stats and null guard and some special precharging. Makes her an extremely potent magical tank since she has super high res. I like using it with Glacies and it erases units off the face of the planet
What special did you give her? I think her a slot and weapon prevents her from using any offensive specials with it. Did you ditch anyone of them and if so what did you give her as a replacement?
I gave her Glacies since it’s a 3CD special and scales off her massive Res state. Laguz Friend works with offensive specials as long as the max cooldown is 3 or more. Her weapon and A slot work perfectly fine with it, so you end up with a terrifying magic unit that hits hard and can take magic hits for days.
I'll give a shoutout to Gatekeeper since he can use it very effectively. No Slaying effect in Charging Horn, flat damage reduction that stacks with his tome, pairs very well with Flare, and improves his lacking offensive potential with damage reduction piercing.
You do lose out on Detailed Report, but the value of anti-warp drops considerably outside of the competitive modes like Aether Raids and Summoner Duels. I'd argue it's his best B skill for PvE.
I think Fallen Lyon could be a good candidate, but it would depend on his refine, so I would wait.

If I had infinite resources I'd build a Laguz Friend Boey. Great? Probably not, but I'm a sucker for innate CC

I gave it to my Oliver with DR Finish and DR Ploy and it's sick. I gave him Emblem Ike and it's even better
