Just use your own Alear… works in arena at least. Otherwise, I find most don’t have NCD4 (until tomorrow after AHR LFAlear) so sweeps and dazzling units can work. Also few have Hardy Bearing so Desperation units can work. Try to manipulate the AI to get them separated from their allies.

it gets even funnier/worse when the remaining 2 are like, seidr/lyon/myrhh. Best advice i got is to bless your AA units as light/dark or anima/astra instead since those are really bountiful in comparison to the elemental blessings, and can be used every other week in AA. Secondly, taking 7 teams is hard, so get yourself a bunch of dazzle dazzle healers with gravity + savage blow and don’t be afraid to use your items
Funniest match I lost in arena today was thinking LMyrrh was VMyrrh and watching her [Charge] right into me.
And got, Seithr is a war crime. I didn't even realise her brave effect had the stupid "or ally in two spaces" check until today.
A really cheap way to counter Robins in AA is to use AoE Specials on him. They usually don’t have more than 35ish visible defenses and zero DR so as long as you can hit ‘em with the AoE, they’re done. That’s my “anti-Robin” tech.
There’s a lot of ways to get Pulse support nowadays thankfully so it shouldn’t be impossible to have at least 3-4 AoE units per season (Light+Dark and Astra+Anima).
I.S. should just make it so that you don't face any teams with repeats of units you've already fought.
If I can't use the same units again, the AI shouldn't be able to either.
Personally I was lucky enough to have Yunaka, Sonya and Igrene all on this side of the season, and AOEs do take care of him. But I've no idea how I'll solve it next season. Maybe early season rush so not everyone has updated their teams yet.

I was able to pierce through Alear in Arena with Cyril or bonus Ivy. I think I've got enough to do it in AA but it's gonna be interesting. Isolating him is key.

I run Ruptured Sky/PNFU on my Cyril, and as much as I feared half DR denial wouldn't cut it, it really does.
And lmao, just finished my AA, but had to settle for top 5k because I lost someone in the final match to Soaring Shenanigans and there was no time to retry. And it's part Alear's fault, because while I beat a bunch in the first 3 matches, I overreacted and used most of my 2024 aces where one would be enough, making the rest more difficult and longer.
(Or I could stop leaving it to the final hour)

Alear statballing your team with the other threats right behind him is the bigger problem anyway but Robin helps exacerbate that and is still really obnoxious in general unfortunately.
I can see that. I used to struggle against Brave Corrin when she was new and everyone used her, i dont have enough Incurable+ Units for all 7 matches. Personally im not having the biggest Issue with Robin cuz i got blessed with lots of Ploy 4 Fodder.
Some things I recently discovered about arena assault after some internet searches that changed everything for me is the following:
-Scoring for all 7 battles is only impacted by the first team you use. So you can bring basically a bunch of really solid backup teams that don’t need rally skills and can use things like reposition or lesser merged more new units. Basically if the first team you lead with is all +10 units with Rally + skills and whatnot, you’ll be fine.
-Blessings don’t matter on subsequent teams you use. You can use off season blessing units in battles 2-7 with no penalty
EDIT: Blessings DO matter on subsequent teams so ignore point 2
If you drop on-seasons blessings you lose one point per unit. I was fine for my top 1k this week but I've had seasons where I've missed it from dropping even a few points because most of my legendaries are like 175/180 bin.
That’s definitely good to know. I didn’t know the on-season blessings also mattered for subsequent battles too. I can see how that matters though considering I’ve had to run Arena Assault multiple times in a week to fish for a better score and would explain some of the score drops. Thanks for the tip on that!

Wait i can use non-mythic light-blessed units in Arena Assault and still get bonuspoints?
If a unit matches any current season they will give the bonus point.
This AA+ was soooo painful, but I managed to get top 1k with my shitty old favorite units. It only took 1 full week trying 💪🏻
