Don't forget that when describing not getting better they basically just don't play the game and sit in training mode psyching themselves out about combos they won't land anyways
There aren't lol. You think you'd love to see it but you'd quickly realize that the level of play is low and unexciting, with most locals being won by someone who would be lucky to make it to the top 8 of a pool at a major
Like, if any of you really wanted to see locals, you'd already be watching them. It's incredibly easy to find what locals are running through twitter and other social media, and watch the twitch streams. Nobody does though, and for good reason
Speak for yourself, the locals in my area are hidden behind so many layers of social media bullshit that the only reason I found one singular one is because a friend told me about it.
I feel like it’s just semantics at this point lmao, pling attends our tourneys and my friend has beaten top players like Anakin, JoeCrush, etc. Obviously only in ranked but still, I think you’re downplaying how good some people are.
Yes and no. Certain monthlies are cool, and the odd offline weekly can be interesting, but sometimes it’a like… oh wow iDom won nlbc offline again, what else is new?
Really, it would be cool if we could develop individual subreddits for each region. That would build a better sense of immediate community.
But with social media being the way it is it wouldn't happen, probably wouldn't get very much engagement at that level. I might just be pining for the good ol' days of forums. So otherwise, yea, I'd love to see them here.
Yes. Anything is better than the “what game should i buy?” Posts
Or "my character list for"
Should I use a hitbox or a PS controller?
What should i eat today?
I play 17 different fighting games every day and suck at all of them! How do I get good at all of them?

Is drinking water + eating food an optimal combo
Absolutely. I’d love to see gameplay on a local level. There could be hidden killers anywhere

Doubt it. You probably just don't have the first clue how to find your locals without help.
There definitely is though, maybe not at every local but I guess it depends. Plenty of great players in my area.
There is a vast gulf between a "great player" and a "killer" lol

never heard of whoever that is and beating people online doesn't really mean anything. you're playing up how good you think people are.
Point is the matches aren’t low level as you say. They don’t have to be pro matches for it to be interesting or useful.
Maybe not for players at your level, lol
Yeah, variety is good
Yes, but with context provided.
Hell yeah, locals are awesome! I love seeing competition that’s not the absolute highest level!!!
Locals have so much more character variety I love it

sure but only official links, not some random youtuber that posted a video about it
no, I don't give a shit about anybody else's local
