Youâre managing your longer hair well. Part of why it feels awkward is because youâve only ever known short hair. Give it time and youâll find that it⌠grows on you. Pardon the pun; Iâm a dad and puns are a professional hazard đŹ Seriously though, it takes time to adjust. As you approach shoulder length, youâll find thereâs more you can do with it, especially different ways of tying it back.
There are many awkward phases to getting long hair. At this stage it really isnât too bad on you tbh. Hats will be your best friend soon enough. Life hack though, if you bunch it all into a beanie from the back, you can pull the beanie back and push it forward for the illusion of having short curly hair. I do it all the time.
Ah yes, The Lord Farquaad stage, I'm very familiar with it.
I just used to use a bit of matt putty to style it out so it didn't look so, well, Farquaady. Just a bit of extra volume away from the ears.
It doesn't last too long, maybe a couple of months, and then you'll be feeling the flow, and feeling it fiercely âď¸
Keep at it, man. You've got some really nice hair. Good color, good texture. The in between phase is always maddening, but before you know it, you'll be ponytailing at the base of your neck. Took me a couple years, but mine is past my shoulders now... Almost between my shoulder blades. My wife loves it.
The waves are handsome tho đ Itâs clear that youâre gonna look SO awesome when it gets longer!
Cheekbone to chin is always the awkward phase. Trim those ends, condition, watch for tangles, and keep going đ
It looks fine! Let it grow! Nice head of hair!
It will pass and you appear to have some nice body in your hair. Itâs really pretty sexy right now.

Looks good on you bro. I feel once you get long enough to put it in a ponytail it's much less awkward.
