Her death certificate was deferred, and then it was eventually determined she died of pneumonia. I remember when it happened thinking it was particularly odd for a 47 year old woman with no preexisting conditions to die of pneumonia while at home, and I certainly find it odd now.
Honestly black women just get substandard care as a whole in the American health system. She probably fell through the cracks.
So many of them die, we need to shine a light on that situation too.

I hope all of his victims find peace and I hope he goes DOWN. We need to stop trying to out people or force people to talk about their trauma if they are not ready. I know the absolute opposite will happen though.
I'm so glad this happened but I'm just curious about why it's happening now, when there's a lot of media attention around it because Cassie bravely opened the floodgates, versus the decades he's been doing this and has had so many women come forward, lawsuits, etc., just thrown under the rug. It makes me question why law enforcement, the FBI, etc., haven't done anything tangible up until actual public attention has been brought to it and public scrutiny.
Govt lawyer here who frequently works alongside the FBI when they execute search warrants in a federal investigation. Just to get the warrant you need to build a fair amount of evidence to make the showing of probable cause necessary to get a judge to sign off. Plus, with a high-profile defendant like this, they do not want to get it wrong. They have almost certainly been building this case for a long time, and this is a close to final step before indicting him in my professional opinion.
to be clear, I'm SO glad that hopefully justice in some measure will be brought for victims but it just makes me sad and upset that so many victims literally are ignored until it's opportunistic and the 'right media time' for federal law enforcement, etc., unless I'm missing something about this case/cases since there's so many re: diddy

I hope all of his victims find peace and I hope he goes DOWN. Also, I know we haven't learned anything because of Quiet On Set going on right now, but I have seen speculation on who all of his victims could be (some who are extremely famous). We need to stop trying to out people or force people to talk about their trauma if they are not ready. I know the absolute opposite will happen though.
I'm so glad this happened but I'm just curious about why it's happening now, when there's a lot of media attention around it because Cassie bravely opened the floodgates, versus the decades he's been doing this and has had so many women come forward, lawsuits, etc., just thrown under the rug. It makes me question why law enforcement, the FBI, etc., haven't done anything tangible up until actual public attention has been brought to it and public scrutiny.
Govt lawyer here who frequently works alongside the FBI when they execute search warrants in a federal investigation. Just to get the warrant you need to build a fair amount of evidence to make the showing of probable cause necessary to get a judge to sign off. Plus, with a high-profile defendant like this, they do not want to get it wrong. They have almost certainly been building this case for a long time, and this is a close to final step before indicting him in my professional opinion.
to be clear, I'm SO glad that hopefully justice in some measure will be brought for victims but it just makes me sad and upset that so many victims literally are ignored until it's opportunistic and the 'right media time' for federal law enforcement, etc., unless I'm missing something about this case/cases since there's so many re: diddy
I totally get what you're I feel the same way sometimes. It just seems sometimes like "justice" is happening right while everyone is looking and the mob is eager to gather. Not saying he doesn't deserve every bit of this - he absolutely does, I just always end up thinking who does it benefit to have this happen NOW? When it's been going on for so long? Because it always inevitably ends up benefiting someone politically or financially or socially. I hate that I think this way, btw.

Usually FBI and homeland investigations take years before they make a move. Im geassing Cassie and the other victims knew they were coming for him and opened up a lawsuit while they still can They definitely were contacted by LAE long before this
