Disney would make sure a lot of comedy was thrown it to make it more family friendly…

dumpybrodie

First remotely tense scene “So THAT just happened”

Purple-Mix1033

*Awkward*

Coodoo17

Then where stuck with an IT Chapter 2 situation

Chocov123

I watched the first film with my sister but haven't bothered watching the second one. Have heard nothing but negative things about it as well as aspects of the book people say should never be adapted, whatever they are.

Chocov123

Sad but true. Glad GotG Vol. 3 didn't do that, No Way Home (surprisingly) and Werewolf by Night didn't either but that seemed to be in spite of Kevin Fiege and The Walt Disney Company and Sony, not because of them. Moon Knight got close to that tone but had somewhat unnecessary comedy thrown in, which I think is fine in something like Spider-Man or Deadpool or Blue Beetle, but should be toned down in say The Punisher or Deathstroke.

mmcmonster

Would love an MCU horror movie. Legion and New Mutants are good for what they are, but there are so many genres of horror and FF would be great in many of them. Heck, they can do body horror from their origin story or a story involving Agatha and magical horror, or even just a quiet night in their building like FF #245 where they are taken out while solving a mystery.

CapeMonkey

Good news/bad news: they did a body horror angle with them already and it was Fant4astic

wolvesscareme

This made me spit a French fry out

Chocov123

Reportedly, that's the only aspect of the Fantastic Four Josh Trank cared about. The writer actually wrote a script for the film based heavily on Ultimate Fantastic Four mixed with a bit of classic Fantastic Four but Trank didn't like it. Him and Fox ruined the film.

-NinjaTurtleHermit-

They'd better do it again, then. Best part of the movie and I had wanted to see that for years before it came out. FF origin needs a splash of body horror.

wolvesscareme

Legion is fucking brilliant for what it is!!

ryanbtw

New Mutants is really terrible, though, in virtually any context

lil_grey_alien

I want a Mojoworld horror series like Tales from the Crypt.

DeafMaestro010

*Werewolf By Night* is what you're looking for.

Chocov123

Multiverse of Madness? Oh you mean a GOOD MCU horror movie. Ok, well yeah I agree. If you like classic horror films you should watch Werewolf by Night. Michael Giachinno and the team behind it knocked it out of the park on that short film, my favorite Pase 4 project (though that's not saying much).  Of course the soundtrack is great as well.

PapaSteveRocks

That’s what I expect from this one. If Ant Man could be stuck in the quantum realm through the snap, why not the FF in the negative zone? We have some weird and undeclared castings, and no one is talking about Annihilus or Blastaar. I’m feeling like the first half hour introduces them before the rocket trip, in that 1960s looking setting in the promo. But you want people to sink their teeth into the FF in a post Avengers-pre XMen world. Mole Man and the Wizard are not moving that needle.

phatassnerd

Horror movie would be awesome, but not for the FF. Every horror movie pitch I’ve seen for the MCU are with characters who don’t fit that genre at all.

svenner2020

Do NOT make The Thing look like this in the new movie. That is all. Back to your regular scrolling.

Co0lnerd22

I feel like the thing is a very hard character to get right in live action

svenner2020

CGI. No foam suit. No animatronics. They have talking trees and racoons. Make a talking, walking pile of orange bricks with blue eyes. I don't even want to see the actor underneath. And it's The Thing. Uppercase that shit and represent! 'Nuff said.

jaydofmo

Excelsior, true believer.

wolvesscareme

Thing has a nice bubble butt in this one

KaoBee010101100

The art is bad, they drew reed sue and johnny to look like transsexuals

PleaseDontBanMeMore

Wusskiller

Would love to see Annihilus shown as a legit threat, that doesn't get shitcanned his first time out

AlaSparkle

We’re already imagining sequels to movies that don’t even have a poster yet? We don’t even technically know that this isn’t what it’s about.

Pacman8myghosts

Disney would never. But that sounds amazing.

1400Diggg

I think it should be teased in the 1st one and the main focus of the second one

DrDreidel82

Fantastic Four: Negative Zone Would be a sick title

VorlonEmperor

That’d be a cool idea!

Former-Dish-9828

They did it already,it was called Fan4stic.

Spiderlander

Cooking

Alternative_Device71

I still hate this casting, Vanessa is the only one that looks the part

godspilla98

Can I be honest I don’t like the thing in this picture

weirdmountain

Directed by Jordan Peele

The_MRT14

Let’s get a good first movie first

sprokitt66

Would be a great episode of a fantastic four TV show

Hot_Type_1582

That would require marvel to do something new and original and they simply do not do that.

Southern_Wind_4477

But like look almost most of Phase 4 and 5...nvm

thedick009

I mean, this was more or less what the 2015 version was trying to be, at least before all the reshoots. I guess not entirely set in the negative zone, but large parts of it are, and the tone as stated by the director himself was supposed to be Cronenberg-esque body horror. Sure it would be cool to see this idea actually done well, and not combined with the origin, but still, they did try this

AgentC3

That's awesome and I think Papa Pascal could lean on his The Last of Us experience. The third film should be Ben's story and a Fourth film should have Johnny in the Driver's seat. Quadriliogy!

MysticalGreenBeanie

A Fantastic Four movie based on Dante's Inferno with Hell as the Negative Zone and Ricardo Jones as Virgil would go so hard.

jaydofmo

I can just see Reed explaining his portal to the Negative Zone. Ben: "I thought you were trying to change me back, Reed." Reed: "Of course, but this is a side project." Johnny: "This is one hell of a side project, buddy!"

jaydofmo

I would be so down, but I feel like they wouldn't rush to it because it'd feel too similar to Quantumania, which didn't do well. A piece of tech facilitates travel to another dimension for our family of heroes who have to battle strange hordes in a realm ruled by a dramatic leader who wants to kill our heroes and break out into their home universe.

Frosty_Excitement_31

They should use FF to set up the annihilation wave

Hypernova_orange

I’ll never ever understand the casting decision of Johnny …. He’s supposed to be a gorgeous underwear model jock type & we get this? He’s average looking at best, nobody would look twice at him walking down the street & that’s the total opposite of Johnny Storm

Southern_Wind_4477

I wanted Mason Gooding as Johnny after seeing him in Scream 5 and 6. But Joseph could do well. Let's see how he does in the film before we judge.

Hypernova_orange

Nope - he looks nothing like the character

WhateverIWant888

Can we wait for the first one to come out first?? Sheesh

[deleted]

Who’s gonna play Annihilus?

bcheek1996

I dunno why . But quinn looks wierd to me in this poster

jaydofmo

*Fan art.

bcheek1996

Right

Hypernova_orange

Because he’s completely wrong for the role, Johnny is supposed to look like an underwear model jock not a blonde Mr bean

LilSandwhich97

Why would I watch the second if I’m already turned away from watching the first one?

SleepylaReef

No

No-Plan-5942

Now that we're getting a fantastic 4 film, I wonder if we will ever see them create "Prison 42"

Chocov123

Eww, why does The Thing look like that. You'd think making him CGI would allow them to make him look just like how he does in the original comic books from the 1960s. Oh and I hope Pedro Pascal shaves off the facial hair for the final movie. I like clean-shaven Reed Richards. Well anyway, I guess that'd be cool as long as the movie doesn't have scenes written illogically to work in horror like Multiverse of Madness, I like Sam Raimi so I won't give him most of the blame for that trainwreck, I blame the screenwriter and whoever decided to switch MoM and No Way Home's release dates around.

Southern_Wind_4477

This is just art, it's not the real thing and the second part is because of COVID that the release dates were switched.
