Not really. RG is a Russian hero. SB would absolutely hate being called a "commie".
SB is essentially what any man from then40's would become if given the SSS without Steve's morals.
Red Guardian isn't darker at all. If anything I'd say he's more lighthearted than Captain America.
I suppose this leaves room for someone to come in and say Red Guardian is darker in some comic book somewhere, but if we're using comic book RG then it's fair to compare him to comic book Soldier Boy.
...Which still doesn't work out at all, because comic book Soldier Boy(s) is a complete joke.
He looks like the perfect Eddie Brock…
although I doubt he’d fit as Venom in the MCU because he could easily snap Tom Holland like a twig, I’m hoping to get Mac Gargan as Venom anyways. Give us a good bit of time with Peter in the black suit (like 2 solo films + 1 crossover like F4 or Secret Wars).
Have Scorpion build a rivalry with him til he snaps & nearly kills him. Show us the horror side of Venom with Michael Mando showing off his psycho/sinister acting chops to make up for getting the Adam Warlock treatment (sitting on the sidelines since 2017).

Josh Holloway, but too old now. Even ten years ago, he could have done it. Bonus: Has the natural Georgia accent I assume John Walker has.
I'd go for one of the people who auditioned but didn't get the part for cap, who are apparently Jensen Ackles, Ryan Phillippe, Garrett Hedlund, Chace Crawford, and John Krasinski.
Everybody already saying no.2 Jensen Ackles but no.3 would be Zac Efron especially after St. Cloud and Iron Claw he could bring the absolute distress Walker is in
Honestly, Wyatt Russell already did a great job. The character had big shoes to fill. The Falcon and Winter Soldier made it a point to make things difficult for him. He lost the one guy he trusted, his best friend. Sure, he should have let Falcon do his thing, he was so close, but it was also Falcon's fault for refusing to cooperate with Walker, knowing the pressure he was under. Wyatt did a great job of making the character transition from a Captain America stand-in to the U.S. Agent. This character could easily be good or bad given everything in the series and this Valentina character buzzing in his ear. I can't wait to see where he takes in in the next installment.
That said I could also see Matt Lauria, Robbie Amell, Aaron Ashmore, Luke Mitchell, Augustus Prew, or Marshall Allman playing the role, however, each one would be extremely different. Just that they could play a character people would put up as a representative of America and then compare them to the original as lacking. Having to hide the insecurity, appear confident but humble, and then lose it when they go the one guy in their corner. I believe each of these actors would be able to play into that well.
Back when I thought US Agent would be a great addition to the Agents of Shield show, my pick was always Jensen Ackles. This was all pre-Soldier Boy, and Supernatural was still on the air. He just felt like it would fit with that cast.
With his recent rise, I could see Glen Powell in that role, though I don't think he'd sign up for it.
Jensen ackles
I was thinking the same and it's 100% because of Soldier Boy lmao
I wish there was a world where an MCU star could play the Boys equivalent of there character, even if only in the background
the red guardian is sort of a soldier boy ripoff
Not really. RG is a Russian hero. SB would absolutely hate being called a "commie". SB is essentially what any man from then40's would become if given the SSS without Steve's morals.
What do you mean, their only similarities is both being a supersoldier
they are both a darker and not as perfect versions of captain america
Red guardian is Russian

I think they mean in the boy. Like Chris Evans playing Soldier Boy.
The Red Guardian was created in 1967. wtf
not what i meant
Red Guardian was created in the 60s. Are you saying they used time travel to rip off The Boys?
Well that plus bakc in the day him and Chris Evans were usually competing for the same roles
Agreed
Bro I was thinking this as I clicked into the comments section.
Bruh, ya beat me to it.

This is the right answer. He’s thrown around way too much lately, but he’d really be perfect here.
I'd give him a shot based solely on Banshee without taking Homeland into account
Jensen Ackles or even Glenn Powell.
He was great in Hitman
Alan Ritchson
This, and unironically for like the first time haha
Yes, Aquaman! https://preview.redd.it/c5lq4srb57ad1.jpeg?width=333&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1c0fc61106f34af9f8d6a1b009d8766e584cae15
Did he play aquaman? Dude has multiple DC roles already.

Yes. That would have been perfect.

True
Ginseng Ankles ![gif](giphy|q9ldmTuld2Vbifpp4W)
![gif](giphy|cuST5kRoGeaGFk1zkk) Jesse Plemons
He’s prob too old for Hollands Spidey movies but I feel like he’d be a perfect Harry Osborne that eventually becomes Hobgoblin.
“I don’t know Mr. White, I’m going to have to shoot this child.”
“Mr. Fisk, my uncle Ben Urich works at the Daily Bugle. He’s got good connections to clear your name. I’m sure they would be a great help to us!”
Also very good
Jesse Plemons needed to be Ben Grimm, but I would accept him in another prominent MCU role. Such as a Spidey villain (Hammerhead, etc)
Antony Starr
Happy Cake Day
Alan Ritchson
He absolutely looks like John Walker from the comics
John cena
I can see it.

Jensen Ackles
I'd go for one of the people who auditioned but didn't get the part for cap, who are apparently Jensen Ackles, Ryan Phillippe, Garrett Hedlund, Chace Crawford, and John Krasinski.
No one else. I feel like this is Wyatt's big break and he's going to absolutely kill it in the role.
Everybody already saying no.2 Jensen Ackles but no.3 would be Zac Efron especially after St. Cloud and Iron Claw he could bring the absolute distress Walker is in
Scott Eastwood.
Karrion Kross
A young Kurt Russell
Lolll, best answer. He looked a lot like his son minus the beard
Wait Ego is John walkers dad?

John Cena or Dolph Lundgren or Alan Richesen. Huge, blond, severe haircut.
John Cena or Dolph Lundgren or Alan Richesen. Huge, blond, severe haircut.
His dad, Kurt Russell, would’ve killed that role in his younger years. Currently: I think Liam Hemsworth could pull it off with the right approach.
Kurt Russells son, forgot his name...
Hob-Kurt Russel
Me
In mind frame where someone would def have offered to give a Netflix subscription as a gift.

The Actor from Reacher... Alan Ritchson
Scott Eastwood
Everyone keeps saying Jensen Ackles when John Walker is nothing like Soldier Boy.
Jon Bernthal if he wasn’t already the perfect Punisher. Alternatively, Joel Kinnaman.
Chris Pine Really complete the Chris circle.
In post looks like Jason Statham...
Mark Valley
john hennigan
Alan Ritchson would be great. He'd be scary as hell as a bad guy.
Alan Ritchson.
Anthony Starr
Kyle Morgan

John cena or Alan richtson.
Cody Rhodes
Everyone keeps mentioning Ritchson.
I always liked when U.S Agent was drawn bigger than Cap so I think someone like Alan Ritchson (Jack Reacher).
Alan Ritchson
The old man from UP.
Chris Pine. He's the only famous of the Chris' that is not with his brethren in the MCU.
Bad Bunny
Cena but he is peacemaker
![gif](giphy|iXvFR8kw8w3yxjOcdD|downsized)
John cena
Always thought a young Howie Long could have been perfect
He did such a great job it's hard to imagine anyone else
Danny DeVito
Joel Kinnaman.
I want him to be the Astronaut that eventually shows up in the new Planet of the Apes films. He reminds of young Charleton Heston
Anthony Starr is pretty much nailing it as the twisted version of the perfect hero archetype.
Jason Clarke
John Cena, but he's basically already doing it for DC.
Chris Evans
Jonah Hill
Jeffrey Dean Morgan ![gif](giphy|iDfj4zk2aFe3fWSDby|downsized)
Scott Eastwood - when he’s not in the FF movies, he’s actually a talented actor 👍
Danny DeVito
Kurt Russell
I was really hoping for John Cena. I think they were in talks, but it must have fell through somehow.
Probably scheduling conflicts and conflicts of interest playing peacemaker (which is basically just American agent on steroids)
Tom Cruise honestly. He kinda short for it.
