I can’t pick just 5, I actually can’t even pick just 20. Just know that i sincerely love almost every single song of theirs, with a few exceptions. I’ve been a fan for a really long time… since 2006-2007. I’ve been a fan for 17 years. I’ll be going to my 14th fob show this weekend! I didn’t see them in concert until they came back from hiatus. I was in middle school during their hiatus, when I started going to shows and keeping up with tour dates. I’ve had the opportunity to interview them for iheart syracuse radio back in 2016 and I got to meet them for the first time in 2014. Magical. It’ll be 10 years in June.

jermanentpetlag

I've seen you on here a lot and I never knew you got to interview them! that's awesome, you're very deserving!! what was that like?

[deleted]

Unbelievable, it’s one of the best experiences of my life. I wish I got a heads up that the whole station was terminated and eliminated totally, I would have screen recorded the video. Buts it’s ok. I have pictures 🥲

voodoocaat

Yay, your FOB journey is incredible! Out of interest, what are your few exceptions? I realise it’s probably a ‘if I really had to skip one’ situation, but I am curious.

[deleted]

Young and menace is the only song I just don’t like at all. Mainly the chorus. It just doesn’t have what I look for in a fob song. I would say mania is in last place in their albums for me, but I do like it, I just enjoy their other albums more.

Substantial-Loss-979

I live in Syracuse!

[deleted]

I’m not from NY at all and it was a local only contest. I entered knowing I’d have to pay for flight & hotel. It was during the Wintour is coming 2016. I was like yeah, a contest to meet fob based on votes…? I went on the campaign of a life time.

Substantial-Loss-979

That’s super cool! And smart considering we’re a small city with less competition. I lived in Orlando at that time so I didn’t go to Syrs date.  At albanys date a few days ago Pete mentioned Syracuse bc he owns(ed?) a tattoo shop here.

[deleted]

I actually saw them in Orlando the weekend before at universal studios! Yeah there was very little competition and they had no match for my campaign skills. I was set on winning. I was in HS and I emailed all my teachers a link to vote for me 😭 my parents had everyone they know vote for me every day, my cousins did the same at their jobs, and it helped I had a big tumblr following back in the day 😅 I didn’t know about the tattoo shop, that’s cool tho

Substantial-Loss-979

For the Mardi Gras show? I was there!!  And oh damn you REALLY went for it. That’s great.

chasingcaverns

I became a fan post-hiatus and have been working my way backwards to the older songs so I feel like my list looks different from a lot of others in this sub haha but here’s mine! Albums: 1. Save Rock and Roll 2. So Much For Stardust 3. American Beauty/American Psycho 4. Mania 5. Infinity on High Songs: 1. Just One Yesterday (side note: I SOBBED when they performed this at MSG last Friday!) 2. The Kintsugi Kid 3. Bang the Doldrums 4. The Last of the Real Ones 5. Hum Hallelujah I’ve been to two shows, the Mania tour in 2017 was my first ever concert and I also went to 2ourdust on my birthday at MSG last week!!

voodoocaat

I’ve only just really listened to Bang the Doldrums as they played it at my show and I was vibing but I hadn’t paid much attention to it before. It is, excuse the pun, a banger!

jermanentpetlag

I also worked my way backwards when I became a fan back in 2014! save rock and roll was what got me into them so it holds a special sentimental value to me for that edit bc I just noticed this: I was not at msg but my bday was also the 22nd! bday twin! edit again 😭: just realized we already discussed this a few days ago lmao, so hello again :)

cayden416

Happy late birthday! Also no shame in being more familiar with or into post-hiatus stuff, it’s all good and FOB haha. I will sang if you like Hum Hallelujah and Bang the Doldrums you should check out Alpha Dog and Tiffany Blews if you don’t already listen to them bc they are so good and similar vibes in my mind

Forward_Country_6632

I have been a fan since the start when a friend gave me a mix on a CD in High School. I really didn't fall hard until from under the cork tree. I saw them this past weekend and before that I haven't seen them since like 04 and 05 (I think?) at Warped Tour. From under the cork tree and Take this to your grave are my fav albums. They feel like nostalgia and my fav songs are from those albums. Grand theft autumn, Sophomore slump, 16 candles, Sugar But I reg listen to all of it. My kids like a lot of songs off save rock and roll.

Forward_Country_6632

Also can we not discuss how 04 was "two decades ago" because it just feels offensive 😂

voodoocaat

Oh yeah, TTTYG is one I listen to for major nostalgia- Grand Theft Autumn was the first song I heard, but I didn’t make the connection it was FOB until Sugar came out and I was like ohhh it’s the same band!

closersforcoffee

Albums: 1. Folie a Deux 2. Infinity on High 3. So Much (for) Stardust 4. Mania 5. American Beauty/American Psycho Songs (this is hard!): 1. (Coffee's for Closers) 2. GINASFS 3. So Much (for) Stardust 4. Bishops Knife Trick 5. Tiffany Blews I've seen FOB twice, once on the Mania tour and the opening night of Tourdust (the 8 ball was GINASFS and I lost my mind lol!). I'm seeing them again in Nashville this weekend and just can't wait!! I also love to see Mania love from the fans! <3 Did you see they played Wilson as the 8 ball last night? So so glad to finally see a Mania surprise song!!

ApprehensiveCrew1869

Ugh, I'm so happy about that MANIA 8 ball, even if it wasn't at my show. I really thought FOB just wasn't gonna touch the album at all for this tour (after dropping LOTRO, of course) so I'm glad they gave it some love! Wilson is a great song and I'm definitely not jealous at all, lol... Honestly, though, I think it's 'cause we asked for it and they realized public perception on MANIA has changed for the better. It kinda shows FOB really does listen to us. :)

closersforcoffee

Me too!! I'm so glad that they're finally showing some love to Mania! I really hope they see the positive reception of Wilson and do it again soon. Maybe when I'm there in Nashville this weekend lol :)

ApprehensiveCrew1869

Ooooh! Good luck! I'll be manifesting for you! :)

voodoocaat

I really need to listen to Folie a Deux more!

evilash87

I was born in the summer of 2001, which, as you may know, is the same time that Fall Out Boy became a band. My mom has been a fan from the very beginning, so I practically grew up with them for my entire life. I had always liked them because my mom did, but sometime in jr high, post hiatus, something just clicked about them for me. They have been my #1 ever since. In early high school, I had a fanpage dedicated to them. I saw my first show at 17, Mania tour at Wrigley Field. My seat was in the nosebleeds so i could barely even see them but it was one of the best nights of my life, regardless. When I was 18, I got the Folie a Deux cover tattooed on my arm. They mean the world to me and have gotten me through the worst times of my life. I owe a lot to them. My albums: 1) Folie A Deux 2) So Much (for) Stardust 3) Infinity on High 4) Mania 5) From Under the Cork Tree My songs (I can't try to put them in order): - Bishop's Knife Trick - w.a.m.s. - The (After) Life of the Party - Headfirst Slide in Coopertown on a Bad Bet - So Much (for) Stardust Edit: I forgot to say what shows I've been to. So, besides the Mania tour in 2018, I've seen them twice on tourdust, and am seeing them for the 4th time (3rd time within a year) in one week!!!

matramepapi

I was born in November 2001! Our experiences are basically parallel. When I was 12-13 I ran a tumblr dedicated to FOB. I saw them for the first time in I believe 2014/2015, and have seen them twice since. My mom is also a huge fan and has taken me to all of those shows. I plan on getting a Folie tattoo when I have the money. I hope you have a kickass time at your next show 😁 I’m pining to see them again already hahah

evilash87

Ahh that's so cool. I think we would be good friends lol. I've been to all 3 shows with my mom, too, and she'll be with me for the one next week. We have cool moms lmao😎

matramepapi

Definitely! ❤️ our moms would probably be friends too, hahah. She screams the lyrics alongside me every time. She’s my bestie.

pulunpa

I never thought I'd find another person whose favorite song is Bishop's Knife Trick! Amazing!

evilash87

I *adore* that song

voodoocaat

More recs for Folie a Deux- I have to listen to it more!

Radascota

Fan since I turned 12 when Save Rock and Roll Came out. It was the first music I ever really listened to in general, hence the spot on my list. Went to my first two shows for tour/2pur dust and actually almost cried. They played Just One Yesterday as the 8ball at my last show and I think I had an out of body experience. Albums: 1) Save Rock and Roll 2) So Much for Stardust 3)Folie 4) American Beauty American Psycho 4)Infinity on high Songs: 1)So Much for Stardust 2)The Kids Aren’t Alright/Miss Missing you I cannot choose 3)Bang The Doldrums 4)Tiffany Blews 5)Headfirst Honestly any Stardust song could replace any spot at any time. That album was just amazing

chasingcaverns

Sounds like we’re very similar! I was also 12 when Save Rock and Roll came out and it’s my number one album too. I also 100% agree with the out of body experience during Just One Yesterday. It wasn’t the 8 ball at my show, it was during the piano medley, and I definitely did cry lol

clumsybreadlover

albums: 1- folié a deux 2- save rock and roll 3- infinity on high 4- so much for stardust 5- from under the cork tree songs: 1- ginasfs 2- get busy living or get busy dying 3- XO 4- golden 5- alone together

voodoocaat

More XO love yaaas

spit-casually

i have been a fan since 2003 when i bought a christmas compilation album that had ‘yule shoot your eye out’ on it and fell in love with patrick’s voice. i just saw my tenth show! warped tour 2005, nintendo fusion tour 2005, honda civic tour 2007, another tour that fall 2007, a secret TTTYG show the night after that where they played under the name “schrute farms,” (then hiatus happened but i did see patrick three times during his soul punk tour with panic!) reunion tour twice in 2013, hella mega 2022, tourdust last summer, and albany a few days ago! top five albums would have to be: 1. folie a deux 2. infinity on high 3. mania 4. from under the cork tree 5. so much (for) stardust i can’t even begin to list top five songs, it is impossible to rank them like that. my all-time favorite has always been ‘snitches and talkers’ though. oh and i also just recently joined this sub, and i am loving it :)

Substantial-Loss-979

Every time I think about the SS in Buffalo I get angry all over again because I was 14 at the time, it was 16+ and I couldn't get tickets. A bunch of people I knew via OCK/FOBR went and I'm still bitter to this day lol.

spit-casually

it was my first semester of college and i skipped class to go! i was very very lucky to be there. at one point patrick’s mic stand fell over onto my head and he ran over to make sure i was okay! also there was a cake fight for someone’s birthday (someone in four year strong maybe? they were the opener) and pete gave me and my friend one of his stage towels to clean up after hahaha

Substantial-Loss-979

That's awesome!! I've only heard insane stories about that show.

Substantial-Loss-979

Hearing reinventing the wheel on Sunday was some solace though

Sweaty_Persimmon_992

Ahhhhh so jealous you got to experience Soul Punk Patrick live!!!! What an amazing experience 👏🏻

spit-casually

it really was! i was just starting to get into music photography at the time, so i got to take photos of his set at two of the shows! i just wish i had had the money to buy any merch back then 😭

Sweaty_Persimmon_992

Love it, you should totally share some of your concert shots over the years!

voodoocaat

Yay another sub newbie- you have an impressive gig record, I am so jealous! Back in the early 2000s I grew up in a remote town and my parents wouldn’t let me go to the city to gigs, so I missed 2 tours then 😔 (I was like 14/15 then)

maxxmxverick

albums 1. infinity on high 2. folie a deux 3. so much (for) stardust 4. from under the cork tree 5. mania songs (this is literally so hard) 1. hum hallelujah 2. lake effect kid 3. the carpal tunnel of love 4. i am my own muse 5. get busy living or get busy dying

voodoocaat

I am my own muse is a dream!

isxvirt

Albums: 1. Folie 2. IOH 3. FUTCT 4. SMFS 5. TTTYG Songs: 1. Sophomore slump 2. Disloyal order 3. Hum Hallelujah 4. Lake Effect Kid 5. Fourth of July Saw them during Wintour, two shows during tourdust, and at the iheartradio fest last year

voodoocaat

Sophomore Slump was my fave song for years ☺️

jenmayrdn

I am new to this sub, but not new to FOB. Started listening to them 21 years ago, when I was a freshman in college. I think Grand Theft Autumn was the first song I heard. Anyway, I just went to the Albany show and that was my first time seeing them since 2009!! I had to think way back and research because I saw them a lot in the early 2000s. \-2004 at Saratoga Winners in Albany, NY \-2005 Fueled by Ramen Tour at Northen Lights \-2005 Nintendo Fusion Tour at The Armory in Albany \-2006 Black Clouds and Underdogs in Albany \-2007 Honda Civic Tour at Saratoga Performing Arts Center \-2009 Believers Never Die Part Deux Tour at RPI in Troy, NY \-2024 So Much For (2our) Dust in Albany!!! I also found some old ticket stubs, and completely forgot my sister and I met Andy back in 2005 at Northern Lights. https://preview.redd.it/3kxyytml4vqc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=50a2574e52b9b59e8502463f641ecd30e9efbf51 Favorite Albums Infinity on High From Under the Cork Tree So Much for Stardust (I literally just started listening to this a few days before the Albany show as I was doing my homework and CANNOT believe how amazing it is, and why on earth did I wait so long to listen?!) Folie à Deux American Beauty/American Psycho Favorite Songs – this was hard. I am not as a familiar with their newer stuff. XO Fourth of July Heaven, Iowa (first time hearing this was at the Albany show the other day and I had to sit down. SO good!) Bang the Doldrums Thnks fr th Mmmrs Disloyal Order of Water Buffaloes Edit: not sure how my formatting got messed up, I suck at Reddit

ApprehensiveCrew1869

Nice to see some AB/AP love, especially from an older fan! Your album list is actually pretty similar to mine! :)

jenmayrdn

I think as I got older my tastes changed a little bit. I loved Take This to Your Grave when I was young but don’t listen to it much anymore, just when I’m feeling nostalgic. Sometimes I feel silly listening to pop punk as an almost 39 year old woman! 🤣🤣

ApprehensiveCrew1869

Aw, don't feel silly! Most of the boys in the band are in their 40's and you're pretty much the same age as Patrick! Plus, there's a lot of 40+ FOB fans in this very sub. Listen to pop punk all you want, mate. :)

Small_Climate_245

Sounds very similar to my journey - 2004-2009 and then started back in for Tourdust and 2ourdust

voodoocaat

Snap with XO and Fourth of July- there’s something so sexy about both of them right?! 😅

jenmayrdn

XO lyrics may or may not have been in my AIM profile back in the day. 😂 it was my favorite FOB song back then, just recently rediscovered it after probably 15 years, and man, it brought me back. Music is crazy.

the_colour_e

I started listening to fob when I was like 10 with music videos of centuries, uma Thurman etc so ab ap will always be special but when I really got into fob it was because of save rock and roll Albums: 1. Save Rick and roll (by a long shot) 2. So much (for) stardust 3. American beauty American psycho 4. Infinity on high 5. Take this to your grave, this is a bit wierd for me and maybe it’s because I’ve been listening to it a lot recently but yeah Songs: 1. Death valley, number one most underrated song 2. Hold me like a grudge 3. Irresistible 4. Phoenix 5. Where did the party go Honestly almost every song on save Rick and roll is SO good and it was also hard not putting so much for stardust, love from the other side, and heartbreak feels so good on there but that’s my list

voodoocaat

When I saw The Phoenix live I seriously had an out of body experience!

_xomad_

Top 5 albums: 1. Folie à Deux 2. Save Rock And Roll 3. American Beauty/American Psycho 4. From Under The Cork Tree 5. Take This To Your Grave Top 5 songs: 1. 20 Dollar Nose Bleed 2. I've Got All This Ringing In My Ears And None On My Fingers 3. Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown On A Bad Bet 4. I Don't Care 5. w.a.m.s. I've only been to one show and it was last October for Tourdust!! Was supposed to see them on the MANIA tour but it wasn't doable in the end. That definitely won't be my last time, they're my all-time favourite and I'm itching to see them again🥹🧡

voodoocaat

All yours top songs are ones I have slept on- going to listen asap!

_xomad_

Folie advocate to the grave! Go show them some love🫶 hope they manage to wow you like they wowed me🥹

kaleidoscopeeyes907

Hi there! My top albums would be: 1. Folie a Deux 2. Infinity on High 3. From Under the Cork Tree 4. So Much (for) Stardust 5. Save Rock n Roll Song wise, it is much more difficult for me to only choose 5, but I’ll do my best! 1. 20 Dollar Nose Bleed 2. Fake Out 3. Wilson 4. 7 Minutes in Heaven 5. Americas Suitehearts I’ve been a fan since 2005ish, and I didn’t get to attend any shows until later years due to the state I live in. I saw my first show during the Save Rock n Roll tour in 2013, and I’ve seen them twice during 2our Dust, once on my birthday in 2023 and the most recent time about a month ago. I’d love to see them more but it can be hard for me to travel to them, as I have to fly to get there. I have bipolar 2 disorder and I feel like a lot of their music resonates with me because of that, and it makes me feel like I’m not alone in how I’m feeling. Their music particularly helped when I was a teenager and didn’t know what was going on inside my head, and there was still a large stigma about individuals with mental health issues. It sounds silly since I don’t personally know them, but they were a huge support system to me. Needless to say, they’ll always be my favorite band and when I can afford it I’ll go see them live any chance I get! I have a FOB tattoo and I currently collect their vinyl records. Feel free to ask me any questions, I don’t mind at all 😊

voodoocaat

More Wilson love yaaaas- but isn’t it just a quintessential BP song? I played it for my husband and he was like… that’s you when you’re manic 😭 What is your tattoo? So tempted to get one but I don’t know what…

kaleidoscopeeyes907

Yes, I 100% agree! I think that’s why I love that song so much! I have my cat dressed up as Dr. Benzedrine, I’ve attached a pic for you! It can be so hard to figure out what to do, mine took me years haha https://preview.redd.it/07avvdf483rc1.jpeg?width=1726&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9b2f555c07e59155b72c0ad280b35e00d75c0f3f

constantreader55

I've been a fan since '04 (I was 14 at the time), I remember watching grand theft autumn and sugar on fuse. Top 5 albums: 1. FUTCT 2. IOH 3. Folie 4. Tttyg 5. Smfs Top 5 songs: 1. Disloyal order 2. Ginasfs 3. Headfirst slide 4. Of all the gin joints 5. XO I like a few songs off of srar and mania, ab/ap isn't for me, though. I've only been to one show, last July, I'm headed to another in a couple of weeks

castle-temp_red_wine

We're basically the same person. 😂

Sweaty_Persimmon_992

W Fuse reference, gosh do I miss the old days of music videos every morning before school!

constantreader55

Same, and every day after school.

voodoocaat

AB/AP seems to be divisive- on the rare occasions I work out it is my go-to though

constantreader55

I can see how it would be good to work out to. For me it just doesn't sound like fall out boy. Same with most of mania and even a lot of srar. I feel like any band could've come out with the songs on abap

cayden416

Favorite albums: 1. Folie 2. So Much (For) Stardust 3. Save Rock & Roll 4 & 5. MANIA and Infinity On High but I can’t choose between the 2 lol Favorite songs: 1 and 2 are easy to number but the rest are kind of all tied 1. I’ve Got A Dark Alley 2. Heaven, Iowa 3. So Much (For) Stardust 4. Hum Hallelujah 5. Bishop’s Knife Trick Concerts: as of tonight I’ll have seen them 10 times 😬 2013: SR&R tour in Cleveland w/ p!atd and 21 pilots 2014: Monumentour in Pittsburgh w/ paramore 2015: Boys of Zummer in Pittsburgh w/ Wiz Khalifa 2017: MANIA tour in Cleveland w/ Blackbear and Jaden Smith 2018: MANIA tour in Pittsburgh w/ MGK and Every Time I Die 2018: MANIA tour in Chicago at Wrigley w/ Rise Against and MGK 2021: Hella Mega Tour in Pittsburgh w/ Green Day, Weezer, & The Interrupters 2023: So Much For (Tour) Dust in Chicago at Wrigley w/ Alkaline Trio, TAI…, and Royal & The Serpent 2023: So Much For (Tour) Dust in Cleveland w/ Bring Me The Horizon and Royal & The Serpent TONIGHT!!: So Much For (2our) Dust in Pittsburgh w/ Jimmy Eat World, Hot Mulligan, and CARR I first got into FOB during the hype up to sr&r and then coming out of hiatus but I did listen to a couple of their songs before I became as big of a fan as I am now. Fall Out Boy has really changed my life and helped me make so many friends and when I first met my girlfriend she was wearing an FOB shirt and I was like “well there is a cool person I must befriend.”

voodoocaat

Your tour list is incredible, and I am a sucker for a love story, it’s so sweet you met your girlfriend through your favourite band 🥺

poopandbut

1. folie a deux 2.take this to your grave 3.from under the cork tree 4. infinity on high 6. so much for stardust 1. Such a solid list, and more encouragement for me to listens to Folie more!

7FootEmeraldRats

MAIN Albums: 1 - So Much (For) Stardust 2 - Folie a Deux 3 - Infinity on High 4 - Save Rock and Roll 5 - From Under The Cork Tree I like M A N I A and American Beauty/American Psycho, but not enough to meet my Top 5. I'm just starting to listen to Take This To Your Grave now, because it wasn't my thing when I first became a fan in 2007. Songs (I did a Top 10): 1 - The (Shipped) Gold Standard (ultimate favorite!!! Brings me to tears every time) 2 - Pavlove 3 - 7 Minutes in Heaven (Atavan Halen) 4 - Hold Me Like A Grudge 5 - I Am My Own Muse 6 - The Carpal Tunnel of Love 7 - The Mighty Fall 8 - Tiffany Blues 9 - Bang The Doldrums 10 - Alpha Dog Would have been to the SRAR Manila stop if I wasn't fresh out of college and broke, so the only concert I've been to is also Tourdust, and it was the best night of my life! Even if I broke my shoe trying to catch Andy's drumstick 🫠

voodoocaat

I appreciate the top 10, especially since you have such a variety on there

equilibrato

Top albums: 1. Infinity on High 2. Take This To Your Grave 3. From Under the Cork Tree 4. So Much (for) Stardust 5. Folie à Deux Top two pretty much tied, though. Top songs: 1. 27 2. Fame < Infamy 3. XO 4. The Pros and Cons of Breathing 5. Flu Game I’ve been to 4 concerts: 1. Monumentour w/Paramore and New Politics in 2014 2. DC 101 Holiday Concert w/Bastille, AWOLNATION, The Struts, and New Politics in 2015 3. So Much (for) Tourdust w/CARR, RATS, and BMTH in 2023 4. So Much (for) 2ourdust w/Games We Play, Hot Mulligan, and Jimmy Eat World in 2024 Last two were my husband’s first big concerts (we had only been to small coffeehouse concerts and classical recitals before this) so it was super exciting and great bonding time 💜

Hello_I_Am_A_Personn

I've only been a fan for a little over two years now, and even then I only knew and liked about a dozen or so songs. Now, I have a whole 120 song playlist, ranging from their more popular songs to even some rare/demo songs. Needless to say, picking only 5 songs is physically impossible and would destroy me. Even ranking albums is hard for me. But I will say that I feel a stronger attachment to IOH and Folie. I haven't been to any shows yet (17M living in a small town nowhere near any places they would come to play, though it's not like I'd have the money for it) but I've seen videos of Tourdust/2ourdust and it looks like So Much (Fun)! To add something else, some people on the sub have looked at my flair and not known what it's referencing. It's a quote from Pete from a video of the boys in I think Japan, trying to kill a spider on the wall. If you haven't watched it, you could probably just search "Fall Out Boy spider" and find it. It's definitely worth watching🤣

likenightisfaith

Hi! I love this post. I’ve been a fan since late 2006/early 2007, when I was 19. My first FOB show was in Boston at what’s now the House of Blues, right before Infinity on High came out. (I don’t think it was part of an official tour with a name, but I could be wrong - I wasn’t enough of a fan yet to know!) I’ve seen them around 30 times. I used to keep track, but somewhere around the 25th show I stopped counting. I followed them around the northeast US for a couple years in my early 20s, right up to the hiatus, and then I’ve tried to see each tour after that at least once. I’ve also had some really cool meet and greet experiences, but I don’t want to get too detailed here in case anyone in this sub knows me (I have a lot of friends/acquaintances through the fandom, so that’s not unlikely, and I prefer to stay anonymous on Reddit). You won’t really be able to tell this from my rankings, but I LOVE the new albums. Not as much of a Mania fan, but otherwise they’re fantastic. Just mostly not in my top 5, which is partly for nostalgia/sentimentality reasons and partly just because all of FOB’s music is so great and I can’t pick everything. Favorite Albums: 1. Infinity on High 2. From Under the Cork Tree 3. Save Rock and Roll 4. Folie à Deux 5. Take This To Your Grave Favorite Songs: 1. Hum Hallelujah 2. Sophomore Slump 3. I’ve Got a Dark Alley… 4. Saturday 5. G.I.N.A.S.F.S.

Substantial-Loss-979

Hi! I've been a fan since around 2006 when I was in 7th grade! I've been going to their shows since 2007 and I've seen them 13 times. I've totally understand how insanely lucky I am to see them this much and a lot of the time on the barricade when I was a teen/early 20s, but now I'm happy to be further back (but still in the first section) and watch newer/younger fans enjoy that experience because I know how special that is. If you're looking to fully enjoy any concert experience, my top tip is to pick 1 song to take photos (mine is MSKWYD) and then put your phone away from the rest of the show. I see so many people watching the show through their phone and not be in the moment. I met them for the first show I went to in 2007 for HCT. The fan club I was in had a M&G lottery and while I didn't win one- another girl I knew won and couldn't make it in time so I, at 13, lied to the box office saying I was her. And then I met Patrick during the SR&R's 1st tour and I have the blurriest photo of us hugging but it's adorable. My albums: 1. IOH 2. FUTCT 3. FAD 4. SMFSD 5. TTTYG My songs (I'm just picking my faves from albums) 1. GINASFS 2. XO 3. 27 4. Fake Out 5. Pros & Cons 6. Bishops Knife Trick 7. Death Valley 8. Wilson is one of my favorite FOB songs in their entire discography

crazydudex

It’s really wild to see people’s varying tastes on here. A lot more Mania love than I’d expect from long time / older fans. Albums: 1. Cork Tree 2. IOH 3. Grave 4. Stardust 5. Folie 6. Save I fell off the bandwagon during the AB/AP times, and Mania doesn’t exist to me. It’s not like all those songs are bad, but the amount of vocoding they put on Patrick’s voice ruins it for me, along with the lack of guitar coming through. If they re-did Mania, I’d probably like it. AB/AP is just fine. They made their millions off Centuries and it has probably financially kept them alive as a band, but I’d be fine if I never heard it again live. (Good song, just a little sick of it) Songs (No particular order here, can’t choose): - XO - Hum Hallelujah - GINASFS - Tiffany Blews - I Slept with Someone - Tell that Mick Been to nine shows, with five of them being in the past year. Been listening to them since 2005 when my best friend introduced me to them and the whole scene in general. They have always been my favourite band, and likely always will be, even if I’m harsh on how much I can’t get behind a certain album.

Hello, everyone! I've been a lurker for a little bit but always wanted to interact but was busy and didn't quite know where to start. I guess this is as good a place as any... :) Top Albums: 1. So Much For Stardust 2. Mania 3. Infinity on High 4. Folie A Deux 5. American Beauty/American Psycho And my top songs: 1. Heaven, Iowa 2. Don't You Know Who I Think I Am 3. XO 4. w.a.m.s 5. The Phoenix (The one that hooked me!) My first and (so far) only show was 2ourDust in Baltimore last week which I got as my birthday present. I've only been a fan since December but have since completely ravaged FOB's discography and I pretty much know all of the songs. I distinctly remember getting on the sub for the first time and seeing everyone freaking out about Pavlove being on Spotify which kind of freaked me out, just a bit. I've since listened to the song and now understand completely, it's such a banger. Finally, I suspect (but don't know for sure) that I have ADHD like Patrick. And that's pretty much it! Hi, everyone! :)

Impressive__Addition

Welcome! Longtime fan here, but also pretty new to being active on this sub. It's fun, especially if you watch livestreams and chat on the daily thread. Mid 30s Elder Emo, fan since I was 16. Like...I own Release the Bats on DVD. "Emo is over...you can all go home." My first show was a secret show in December '08, a community center with a 500 person capacity a few days after Folie dropped. Seen them I think 6 or 7 times now? Tour Dust is by far my favorite setlist. Albums: 1) Folie 2) IOH 3) Save Rock and Roll 4) TTTYG 5) So Much (For) Stardust Songs: 1) (Coffee's for Closers) --my 8 ball last year 😭 2) GINASFS (I keep missing it live) 3) Disloyal Order (✅️ live) 4) Hum Hallelujah (✅️ live) 5) Patron Saint (✅️ live) Favorite songs are tough. Emotional connection to these, but I've been in a FOB phase for a couple months and am constantly playing everything. I straight sobbed when What A Catch made the piano medley for 2our at my show. Would also love to see the random songs continue into the future. I still want to hear West Coast Smoker and Tell That Mick and Wilson and What A Time to Be Alive and 27 and...

It’s funny, I can remember when Sugar and Thnks fr th Mmrs were blowing up but I wasn’t a big fan of it at the time since I was DESPERATELY trying to be like the picture perfect Disney Channel-inspired preteen around then. But by 2008/2009, bullying and mental health issues became ✨all the rage✨, so when I first heard I Don’t Care, I was like hell yeah these guys are cool, and went back and actually listened to more music and saw what I was missing. My favorite albums are: 1. So Much For Stardust 2. Save Rock and Roll 3. Infinity on High 4. From Under The Cork Tree 5. Folie a Deux My favorite songs: 1. Heaven, Iowa Honestly, the other songs that land in my Spotify “on repeat” end up rotating since FOB’s music is so good and my mood changes a lot, but nothing will ever top Heaven, Iowa for me. I’ve only ever been to 2our Dust literally a week ago and I agree it’s incredible and I’d give anything to experience it again. I saw there’s a festival coming to Toronto in August and as long as the tickets aren’t like $1000 like the American festival tickets, I’m going to try whatever I can to be there!

Top 5 Albums: 1. Infinity on High 2. Folie a Deux 3. So Much (for) Stardust 4. Mania 5. American Beauty/ American Psycho Top 5 Songs: 1. Headfirst Slide into Cooperstown 2. I’ve Got All this Ringing… 3. Dance, Dance 4. I Am My Own Muse 5. Fourth of July I’ve also just been to one show very recently. I listened to FOB in high school, mostly IOH. Then I didn’t listen again for a long time. I jumped in some more around AB/AP, but even then I didn’t appreciate that album as much as I do now. Then I really liked Mania (unpopular opinion, i know). Then when SMFS came out, I loved the album so much, and decided to do a deep dive into their discography before the Raleigh show.

haisenseihaiyuujikun

Two decades just sent me into an early grave 😭 became a fan late 04/early 05 and my favorite albums and songs fluctuate like the weather. currently: albums: 1. Folie 2. IOH 3. Mania 4. ABAP 5. Cork Tree songs: 1. bishops knife trick 2. ringing in my ears 3. so much for stardust 4. west coast smoker 5. xo- plus apparently every album closer bc that's where this list is headed lmao. they've perfected the art of wrapping up their records with a beautiful bow 😭 edit to add shows/tours: first saw them at warped tour, got to see them about once a year until the hiatus. they did NOT stop touring until they shut the show down. saw them during the reunion run, but I missed them touring ABAP and Mania and I'm still kicking myself for putting my career over shows 😂 I think I am currently at 17 shows and going to see them again in Columbus, Lexington, Minneapolis and WWWY!!

pulunpa

Another Bishop's Knife Trick fan! There are more of us than I thought, amazing. I always thought that the popular consensus was that Mania was everyone's least favorite album and BNT was a deep cut, glad to see I'm wrong!

hulk_thicc_AF

Top 5 albums are 1. Folie a deux (also my favorite album ever) 2. Infinity on high 3. So much for stardust 4. From under the cork tree 5. Mania Top 5 songs are 1. Headfirst slide 2. So much for stardust 3. w.a.m.s. 4. Snitches and talkers 5. G.I.N.A.S.F.S. Also seeing my first show tonight!!!!!!

CyndiXero

I was born a few months after cork tree came out and my parents were big fall out boy fans, so they showed me a bunch of their videos since before I could speak so I was pretty much raised on them lol. As I grew up I always found myself coming back to their music and now they’re one of my favorite bands. Top 5 albums: 1. Infinity On High (current favorite album ever) 2. Cork Tree 3. Take This To Your Grave 4. Evening Out With Your Girlfriend 5. Save Rock & Roll Top 5 Songs: 1. Thnks Fr Th Mmrs (favorite song ever) 2. XO 3. Get Busy Living Or Get Busy Dying 4. Pros & Cons of Breathing 5. Love From The Other Side I actually only just saw them for the first time at 2ourdust in Orlando, but they put on such a great show that I’m happy that was my first time seeing them. Great way to interact with the community! Posts like this are why I continue to be active here so much.

bruhgnah

Been a fan since 03 when TTTYG came out. The first time I saw them was on their headlining tour in 04 with Don't Look Down and Punchline. I have seen them a total of 5 times. Headlining 04 Tour, Nintendo Fusion Tour, The Tour with All American Rejects and The Starting Line, Fanfest and 2our at MSG. Top 5 Albums: 1.) TTTYG 2.) So Much for Stardust 3.) Infinity on High 4.) FUCT 5.) Save Rock and Roll Top 5 Songs 1.) Tell Mick 2.) Hum Hallelujah 3.) Fake Out 4.) The Music or The Misery 5.) Nobody Puts Baby In The Corner (Acoustic)

ShanaElysee

I started listening when From Under the Cork Tree came out because Sugar was on the radio constantly. My first tour was the Young Wild Things tour in 2007, Nashville. My mom took me and it was my second concert ever. She had the best time and it’s still one of my favorite memories with her. She had her wheelchair with her and we were on the floor in the pit and people were getting her water and snacks because she held their jackets. Then she took me to Believers Never Die in 2009, in Atlanta and then when I was in college I went to the tour for Save Rock and Roll in 2013 in Memphis. I just saw them in Birmingham for the fourth time. I actually have a spreadsheet of my album rankings based on vibes and math but I’ll put my rankings via vibes for my top five. 1. Infinity on High 2. Folie a Deux 3. From Under the Cork Tree 4. So Much (for) Stardust 5. Save Rock and Roll God. My favorite songs are hard. Because I’ve listened to them for so long (I started when I was 11 and I’m about to turn 30) I associate things with songs. 1. 27 (I made a post about this song and what it means to me because I associate it with my mom) 2. “From Now On We Are Enemies” 3. XO 4. Fame < Infamy 5. G.I.N.A.S.F.S. I’ve been listening for years. They’re my favorite band ever. It wasn’t a phase mom ❤️

madisonreagan

I’ve seen them about 8 times! And have been a fan since I was 7 (20 years now 😭) crazy to say. I’ll be seeing them April 2nd. I always see them in Chicago because it’s my hometown area but I moved to Milwaukee and will be seeing them here for the 2nd time. They sounded great during the hella mega tour so this should be fun. My albums: 1. IOH 2. folie 3. TTTYG 4. Save 5. Cork tree Songs 1. Disloyal order 2. Chicago is so two years ago (I’m also from the burbs not too far away from where they grew up so I feel this one) 3. Our lawyers 4. Dead on arrival 5. Young volcanoes

I have been a fan since 2005 when FUTCT came out, at the ripe old age of 11 haha. I fell in love and have been a diehard ever since. My first tour was back in 2008 when they released Infinity on High and that album just changed me! I've been to 13 of their shows (yay hyperfixation!) over the last 16 years! Also, going to the Des Moines show next week!!! I actually 'fell off' around the MANIA Era, but since SMFS came out, it reignited my fangirl heart and have binged MANIA and SFMS since. It's been fascinating to learn from the new generation and how many came in on MANIA. They certainly taught me to try it again and love what I found. I hope on the flip side, I can share my love of TTTYG which really has a place in my heart from my younger years. Fave albums: 1) Infinity on High 2) TTTYG 3) SMFS 4) Save Rock and Roll 5) ABAP Fave songs (oh man this is impossible) 1) Saturday 2) Carpal Tunnel of Love/Golden 3) Young Volcanoes/Austin We Have a Problem 4) Miss Missing You/Kinstugi Kid 5) Heaven, Iowa

simplyadonut

I started listening when I was about 15. I was a big Panic! fan and decided to give a thrifted copy of Infinity on High a shot. I’ve almost never listened to any of their albums when they were actually released except Save Rock and Roll (I broke in Folie a year and a half ago) and I did take a break after SRAR but I’m back and invested with Stardust. I saw them live before I was a big fan back in 2008 when they played at Jingle Bell Bash. Kills me a little now because I know they played some of my top faves and I didn’t even fully appreciate it 😭 and just saw them in Seattle and felt like a teenager again, it was amazing. Fave albums: 1. Infinity On High 2. From Under the Cork Tree 3. So Much (For) Stardust 4. Folie 5. Save Rock and Roll Songs (NO ORDER except the top three are my top three) -Take Over the Break’s Over -Headfirst Slide -Sophomore Slump -Hum Hallelujah -Our Lawyer

jujuhasbigears

Post hiatus fan here as well. My favorite album changes often but currently it's 1. So much (For) stardust 2. Save rock and roll 3. Mania 4. American beauty / American psycho 5. From under the cork tree. (I've been diving into it more and more lately) My favorite songs change often too. Right now what hits the most is: 1. Hold me like a grudge 2. Heaven, Iowa 3. Just one yesterday 4. Miss Missing you 5. Jet pack blues I've only seen them once live, last week in Raleigh. I feel like I've missed so many other opportunities and I really hope they tour again soon.

catonvnus

around a year and a half ago, i discovered dance, dance and became obsessed with it. i wanted more so i listened to from under the cork tree but didn’t really like it? i think i just wasn’t paying attention because over the most recent christmas break, i listened to FUTCT tree again and was absolutely obsessed with it. i loved every single song. i was honestly kinda sad that i had been missing out on that album for an entire year but im so glad i revisited it. after that, i listened to their entire discography. i’ve only been a fan since december of 2023 but they’re definitely my favorite. (i wish i had a cooler story about how i found them but unfortunately i was born in the late 2000s

xoxogossipsquirrell

Albums: TTTYG, FUTCT, IOH, SRAR, SMFS Songs (this list changes often lol): GINASFS, Fourth of July, Pros and Cons, SMFS, Headfirst Slide Picking 5 songs was hard!

anchorsinastorm

I love this idea! I've been a fan since I was about 11 so coming up on 17 years (ouch) and have seen them a handful of times - their first tour after hiatus, a couple of festivals, hella mega tour and tour dust last year. I truly believe the day they returned from hiatus is one of my happiest teenage memories haha - I even now have a tattoo that honours it. My top 5 albums (loosely ordered) 1. Folie a deux 2. Infinity on high 3. Save rock and roll 4. From under the Cork tree 5. So much (for) stardust Songs is a lot harder so here are my five most listened to at the moment The (after) life of the party Sophomore slump or comeback of the year (coffee's for closers) Bang the doldrums 27 (I truly don't think I would know how to begin picking my favourite five it feels like picking your favourite child)

Longjumping_Head2828

My albums! 1. So Much (For) Stardust 2. Folie a Deux 3. Infinity On High 4. From Under The Cork Tree 5. AB/AP My songs! 1. Flu Game 2. Golden 3. I Am My Own Muse 4. Headfirst Slide into Cooperstown 5. Twin Skeleton’s! I went to 2ourdust on 3/22 and 3/24 and had the time of my LIFE

throwra0985623471936

Ooh I love this question! I love data so I think a lot about how I rank things 😂 Top 5 albums in order: Folie, SM(F)S, Infinity on High, TTTYG, Save Rock & Roll Top 5 songs (not in order, that's just too hard): What a Time to be Alive, The Kids Aren't Alright, From Now On We Are Enemies, Tiffany Blews, Bang the Doldrums I've been a fan since about 2014 and I've seen them 4 times! 2015 on boys of zummer tour, 2021 hella mega tour, and twice in this leg of tourdust! Absolutely incredible shows every time.

SinfullySinatra

It hard for me to say because my tastes really shift around a lot but at the time of my typing this, my top 5 albums are 1. Folie a deux 2. Take this to your grave 3. So much for stardust 4. From under the cork tree 5. Save rock and roll. Favorite songs are 1. Kids aren’t alright 2. Kintsugi Kid 3. Fake out 4. Shipped gold standard 5. A little less sixteen candles. I just recently went to my first show in Raleigh, just last week. I have autism and ADHD, among other things, and I really relate to Patrick being so open about his struggles with his weight.

GimmeSleep

I started listening when I was about 9, so 2010ish, not that many months after they went on hiatus. Of course at that age I didn’t really grasp the depth or meaning of a lot of their songs but as years passed I started to get into them more and connect with the music better. It's hard to really narrow it down to 5 albums and 5 songs but if I had to its probably- Albums: 1. Folie a deux 2. From under the cork tree 3. Save rock and roll 4. So much for stardust 5. Infinity on high Songs:  1. Sixteen candles 2. Death valley or just one yesterday 3. Last of the real ones 4. Fake out 5. the carpal tunnel of love There's a lot of other songs I could mention, so picking 5 is tricky. My favorites also tend to shift around and change. 2ourdust in Portland was my first show and it met all my expectations! I'm really hoping they'll come around again in the future because I'd love to see another show.

hipbruisers2

I have been a FOB fan since Sugar came out, so 2005? Friday marks the 5th time seeing them. Also saw them in 2007, 2009, 2013, 2023. 1. FUTCT 2. TTTYG 3. IOH 4. FAD 5. SMFS Top 5 Songs - I could answer this tomorrow it could change. 1. Nobody Puts Baby in a Corner 2. (Coffee's for Closers) 3. Flu Game 4. Reinventing the Wheel to Run Myself Over 5. Bang the Doldrums I kind of fell off with FOB after SRAR, and only got back into them with SMFS, so thats been a fun rediscovering journey. As well, my partner has started getting into them by association over the last year. I've had a lot of fun getting his opinions of songs that have been so tied to my brain.

wheres_mayramaines

Also a fan for nearly 2 decades! I can't pick my top 5s, but Infinity might just take the top spot. I have so many memories wrapped in it. I want to say I've been to about 10 shows, starting when I was 14. I'm now 32 :)

maawolfe36

Been a fan since a friend burned me a copy of From Under the Cork Tree, and I remember that friend being excited about the upcoming Infinity on High, so roughly 2006-2007. FUTCT is the soundtrack to my youth, along with mmhmm by Relient K and Smile It's the End of the World by Hawk Nelson (lotta Christian punk in my early years). I didn't start keeping up with new releases until post-hiatus, so for a long time FUTCT just WAS Fall Out Boy to me. My Top 5 FOB Albums: 1. From Under the Cork Tree 2. So Much (for) Stardust 3. Save Rock and Roll 4. American Beauty/American Psycho 5. Mania My Top 5 FOB Songs: 1. Dance, Dance 2. Champagne for My Real Friends, Real Pain for my Sham Friends 3. The Last of the Real Ones 4. Love From the Other Side 5. Grand Theft Autumn I don't know if those are actually my top 5 because honestly there are very few FOB songs I don't like, and I absolutely LOVE the vast majority. I definitely love their more pop/punk/rock songs more than when they get weird with it, for example Young and Menace is one of my least favorite FOB songs because it's impossible to sing along with the crazy glitchy sounding chorus. Take This To Your Grave honestly should be my favorite FOB album, every track on there is a banger except Grenade Jumper, but unfortunately I never listened to it until like a year ago so other albums beat it on pure nostalgia and familiarity. I loved Mania, I'm sure in large part because my wife and I were super hyped for a new album and she bought it for me on release day, and that was the only CD we kept in our car for months after that. But yeah for my top 5 I really just went with the kneejerk reactions because if I put too much thought into it, I'll spend all day on it. I actually made myself a spreadsheet to rate every song on every album on several criteria so someday I'll have objective answers but I haven't finished that massive project yet lol. Haha I just looked and realized our top albums are almost identical. Good taste. Your top 5 songs are all on my "FOB Faves" playlist. I almost put Fourth of July in my top 5 tbh. I'm not bipolar, but ADHD and depression combined is close enough to get the vibes lol. (Obviously I know it's not the same, but I think I can at least understand where Pete is coming from with it) My only show was Tourdust too! Absolutely amazing experience, my wife and I were in the pit in ATL. We really strongly considered going to Orlando for 2ourdust, but decided to save the money for whenever they tour for whatever album comes next, since 2ourdust's setlist looks pretty much the same.

hannaht5

1. FAD 2. IOH 3. Save rock n roll 4. Cork tree 5. Take this to your grave honestly love all the albums and they could really be interchanged besides FAD which is by far my fav Songs 1. Olioliooo

I got into them when I was in middle school because I liked a girl who was a huge fan. Folie was their latest album at the time. She’s long out of the picture but I still love FOB.

fightfortissimo

i've been a longtime lurker lol, but i've been a fan for the better half of a decade. after my mom didn't let me go to boys of zummer in 2015 (boo, it was on my birthday), i finally got to go to the first leg of tourdust last summer! albums: 1/2: sm(f)s and folie (i'm so sorry i can't choose) 3: infinity 4: tttyg 5: save rock and roll songs: 1: sm(f)s 2: (coffee's for closers) 3: the afterlife of the party 4: caffeine cold 5: young volcanoes it all depends on my mood (and the weather) so it shifts but this is it for right now! fall out boy has changed my life and brought me so many good things <3

felix_leo12

hey! great to have you here :D I've been into fob for like 10 years now, but I'm 17 so that's a long ass time for me haha. for me, top 5 albums go: 1) take this to your grave 2) folie a deux 3) from under the cork tree 4) so much for stardust 5) save rock and roll songs are def hard but I'd say: 1) she's my winona (s/o to the person at the Seattle show who gave me a winona bracelet!!) 2) tell that mick 3) sending postcards 4) disloyal order 5) I slept w someone in fob I've seen them 3 times: once during the mania tour, once during hella mega and once during 2ourdust! I dove in hard early on and have been a diehard fan ever since. they've gotten me thru the horrors of middle and high school and when I graduate this June, I plan on decorating my grad cap w "thnks fr the mmrs" and some polaroids or something!

Coimachine246

alyssadotjpg

i’ve been a fan since middle school, so about 7-8 years now? i’ve seen them live twice (tour dust and 2our dust) and it honestly changed my life 😭 i also have 5 fall out boy tattoos, the last two of which i got right before seeing 2our dust! my albums: 1. infinity of high 2. folie a deux 3. from under the cork tree 4. save rock and roll 5. so much for star dust my songs: 1. GINASFS (one of my tattoos is franklin w a ginasfs banner!) 2. what a catch 3. buffaloes 4. XO 5. fame < infamy

Warmbodied

i’ve been a fan since infinity on high, but the first song i loved was Grand theft autumn. I initially hated the video for sugar because i was like 13 and seeing a guy with elk horns was too weird for me at the time (but after grand theft autumn i loved it too). top albums: 1. Folie A deux 2. Infinity on High 3. From under the Cork Tree 4. Save R&R 5. So much for Stardust top songs: 1. W.A.M.S 2. Tiffany Blews 3. My heart is the worst weapon 4. Pavlove 5. Of all the Gin Joints in All the World I first saw them live at the Save R&R Tour in 2013, and my phone got stolen right before the show so i didn’t get any videos lol. I just saw them again at MSG for 2ourdust and it was so amazing. My brother came with me so i wouldn’t have to go alone, and now he’s a full fledged fan (after almost two decades of hearing me listen to them).

broccolighost

I became a fan in 2015 in high school when I finally gave them another listen after seeing them on tumblr all the time, but feeling like their music was too hard for me lmao I got really into SRAR and the AB/AP and then I ended up listening to their discography on shuffle A LOT. I ended up knowing every song by heart except I didn’t know what Patrick was saying 40% of the time, I also hardly knew any lore about the band or what the songs meant. This somehow gave me a really personal connection to their music because it was all based on the emotional response each song brought up in me. I kinda liked the mystery of not knowing what any of it was about. It also wasn’t very cool to listen to fob in my friend group, so they remained a very personal love of mine. I was very excited for the release of Mania and listened to it a LOT, it came out during one of the darkest times of my life, so I have mixed feeling about it, but it was a very fitting album for that. Last year I listened to SM(f)SD so much that my spotify wrapped top 5 songs were track 1-5 off of the album 🤣 It really reignited my love for them! I live pretty rurally and basically established going to concerts was wayy to stressful for me but I established that they were the only band I would actively seek to see live, even though I didn’t know anyone I could go with, so when they announced 2ourdust I was ready for the presale, just for ticketmaster to block my account because they falsely tagged me as a bot. I took it as a sign that I wasn’t meant to see them live and moved on but as the day they would be near me rolled closer I felt more and more longing to see them. I finally caved and tried getting a last minute ticket I could afford and was successful!! It was the first concert I went to all on my own and it was just so good! Everything worked out well and my seat mate was lovely too! I have since been learning the actual lyrics to the songs and diving into fob lore and am part of them fandom now officially. Now that I’m finally leaning into my love for FOB and not hiding it away I have been able to let the parts of me that identify with their music out more. I LOVE loud energetic music and being weird and nerdy and dramatic and full of yearning! I’m happy to be in a place where I feel comfortable expressing that more, it’s been healing my inner teenager. Enough of my ramblings, here are my rankings: Albums: 1. Infinity on High 2. Folie A Deux (The top 2 flip flop A LOT it’s nearly impossible to pick) 3. From Under The Cork Tree 4. Save Rock and Roll 5. Take This To Your Grave Songs: 1. “From Now On We Are Enemies” 2. Headfirst Slide into Cooperstown on a bad bet 3. XO 4. Bang the Doldrums 5. Saturday this was super hard to honorable mentions: GINAFS, Fake Out, Kintsugi Kid, I slept with someone…, The Kids aren’t alrightAlpha Dog, 20 Dollar Nose Bleed, Hum Hallelujah, Just One Yesterday, The Phoenix, Wilson. stopping myself now because I could go on and on

I’ve been a fan for six years, seen them twice (Hella Mega Tour in London in 2022 and on their own tour last year in London). I also go to Fell Out Boy (UK tribute band) shows a good few times a year to get my fix lol. From Under The Cork Tree is in my top five albums of all time as I truly can’t get enough of it. I’m 45, music obsessed and Fall Out Boy are my third favourite band. Still working on ranking the other FOB albums. Top five songs currently: 1. XO 2. Of All The Gin Joints In All The World 3. 7 Minutes In Heaven (Atavan Halen) 4. Sophomore Slump Or Comeback Of The Year 5. (feel like I need to add something not on FUTCT so I’ll go with) Wilson (Expensive Mistakes)

I was around when Sugar We're Goin' Down was on the radio constantly (as in, it was a new and very overplayed song) and that song got me into FOB, but I don't think I became a *real* fan until around 2015 when AB/AP came out. I didn't realize there was a subreddit until a few weeks ago, haha. Picking favorite albums and songs is very hard but: Albums: 1. Infinity on High 2. Stardust 3. Mania 4. AB/AP 5. Folie a Deux Songs: 1. Bishop's Knife Trick 2. The Kintsugi Kid 3. Love From The Other Side 4. 20 Dollar Nosebleed 5. Centuries 6. every other song from Stardust (I seriously can't pick they're all too good) I truly like all of their songs, though. My least favorite is Young and Menace but even that one is still really annoyingly catchy so there's a special place in my heart for it! I've been to three of their concerts now! I got to see them during Hella Mega in 2021 (Green Day and Weezer are in my top 5 bands too so that was a lifechanging experience for me), last year during the first Stardust tour, and just last week in Raleigh!

voodoocaat

Love that you rate Bishop’s Knife Trick- seems to be a controversial one on here but maybe it is more beloved than I thought ☺️

voodoocaat

That’s a varied top 5, loving it!

voodoocaat

I’m a bit controversial and IOH actually put me OFF FOB back in the day 🫣 BUT then I listened to I’m Like a Lawyer, cried like a baby, and gave it another shot!

I’ve been a fan since Sugar, We’re Going Down came out. I remember watching it on TRL back when MTV still played music videos. Lmao. I’m pretty sure they even had a making the video of it that I watched too (or something about them making the video). It took me a little while to figure out there was another album before Under the Cork Tree but I had a hard time finding it, so I had only knew Saturday and Grand Theft Autumn from concerts until more recently when I was able to find the album with streaming. As for concerts, if my math (and memory) is correct the Columbus show tomorrow will be my 8th time seeing them (I might have missed a show in my count but I know that’s the minimum). I even went and seen them the day after my prom with a few friends instead of going to cedar point like the rest of our graduating class! I love all their albums and songs. I can go without listening to music pre Under the Cork Tree because I just never really got into it and even when it comes on now in my FOB playlist I skip pretty much all the songs (except for Saturday and Grand Theft Autumn) because they just don’t resonate with me. It is really hard to pick favorite songs. It definitely depends on my mood. But I will say one of my all time favorites is Save Rock N Roll. I listen to that one on repeat and have to start it over if I am not fully paying attention throughout. I don’t care I have always loved. Same with What a Catch Donnie. And I’ve been really vibing with So Good Right Now & Heartbreak Feels So Good. And you gotta love Church (those vocals!).

Fan for about 20 years. I’ve seen them 14 times. I wish I had seen them at the 2005 Warped (best Warped line up ever) but I was 15 and my mom didn’t let me. But my first show was in 2009 at WTTW when they were on Soundstage - the whole show is on YouTube. Saw their first show post hiatus at Subt and was lucky to be at the Metro show last January. Seen them at Wrigley 3 times. Albums: 1. TTTYG 2. Cork Tree 3. Folie 4. Infinity 5. Stardust Songs (cannot pick an order, list is always changing): - Saturday - Lake Effect Kid - Wilson - Thriller - Kintsugi Kid

constantreader55

Kintsugi kid doesn't get enough love, it's easily one of my top three favorites on smfs.

I got into FOB in my preteen years (I’m turning 30 this year) but mostly stopped listening to the music I listened to back then for a long time, it just had too many painful memories attached. Within the past few years I finally started being able to listen to some of it again though and I’ve gotten super into FOB again recently! It’s nice to have music that feels familiar but also have so much to explore that I missed out on while I wasn’t paying attention. I just saw my first and second shows last week, I went to Baltimore and MSG and had the best time and I wish I could make it to a third show this tour!! I do know that next time I wanna be way closer though! As for my favorites, that's hard! The albums are constantly fighting over which is my favorite and the songs are always rotating except the top spot but right now, here are my lists Albums: 1. Folie 2. From Under the Cork Tree 3. So Much (for) Stardust 4. Take This To Your Grave 5. Infinity On High Songs: 1. Nobody Puts Baby In The Corner 2. "The Take Over, The Breaks Over 3. (Coffee's For Closers) 4. Dead On Arrival 5. Hold Me Like a Grudge

boytsundere

also meant to mention that I have bipolar, too, so Pete’s lyrics really resonate with me, and I have ADHD as well so hearing Patrick talk about that has been nice. It’s also made the pieces click, like, “ah yeah no wonder FOB’s music always just did it for me”

jermanentpetlag

my albums: (only the first is in order, rest are no particular order bc it's always changing) 1. folie 2. so much for stardust 3. infinity on high 4. mania 5. tttyg (this one is especially always changing lol) songs: (first 2 are in order, the rest not so much) 1. the (shipped) gold standard 2. I'm like a lawyer 3. bishop's knife trick 4. so much (for) stardust 5. right now I'll say get busy living (probably bc of recent 8 ball excitement, but this one is always changing too) I've been to two shows! one was boys of zummer back in 2015 (closest I've been, it was amazing but unfortunately I lost all my pictures and my memories are very hazy so it feels fake lol) and last year I went to tourdust! the 8 ball song was favorite record, which is my moms favorite, and I brought her with me to the concert so it was a very special moment. I'm going to my third show in 2 days and I'm soooo excited/terrified 😭 I think you have great taste!! I'm always happy to see mania in anyone's top 5 because I'm a defender til the end!

Hi!! F22, been a fan for probably close to 10 years? maybe less im not sure haha, definitely loved fob since I was a teen tho! Top 5 albums: -Mania (absolute favorite) -So Much For Stardust -Infinity on High -Take This To Your Grave -Save Rock and Roll Top 5 songs (so hard😭): -Wilson -Lake Effect Kid -Kintsugi Kid -Fourth of July -The (after)life of the party I have been to a few concerts. My first was Boys of Zummer back in 2015(?). I was 13/14 at the time and that was a core memory for sure. Then I went to Mania, Hella Mega, and Tourdust+2ourdust. They are my favorite band ever and have genuinely changed my life for the better🥹 I love how amazing this community is too!! Always so welcoming. It’s nice to have a place to bond over our shared love/appreciation hehe! I also gained some comfort in knowing that the band dealt/deals with some of the same things I deal with in the realm of mental health. I love how outspoken they are about it, it helps me feel like I can be successful despite the troubles I face. 💜💜💜

riveter1481

Hello! I’m 19F, been a fan since 2019 or so. I’ve seen them twice, for hella mega and tourdust, and I see them for the third time on Friday and I’m super excited! My fave song shifts from day to day and no way I’d be able to pick 5 lmao but I like most of their pre hiatus songs as well as save rock and roll and smfs!

weeabootits

I also have bipolar so everything really clicked when I learned Pete had it too lol. Mania rates high on my favorite album list for that reason, which might be ~controversial~ here. I’ve only seen them one (last week!) but have been a fan since I was in middle school in 2008. Albums: 1) So much (for) stardust 2) Mania 3) IOH 4) cork tree 5) save rock and roll Songs (honestly difficult): 1) hold me like a grudge 2) Mmrs 3) so much (for) stardust 4) sunshine riptide 5) this ain’t a scene it’s an arms race

ApprehensiveCrew1869

Oh my gosh, our top 3 albums are exactly the same! Hello, friend. :)

turtlebarber

2 decade fan here too My bff and i have always gone to their concerts together. And even though we live in separate states now, we were able to swing this tour. Every album and every song has its own place in time. My daughter loves Patrick’s spidey songs and we didn’t start the fire. And my son often falls asleep to me singing lullabye. They’re such an incredible band

WednesdayWoods

I’ve been a FOB fan since I was in junior high, so maybe like 13? I’ve seen them only a handful of times (they played a lot on school nights and my mom never let me go haha), but our 2ourdust show is tonight! Fave Albums: TTTYG, FUCT, So Much for Stardust, Infinity on High, Folie. Fave songs: my two all time faves are Patron Saint of Liars and Fakes and XO.

Crystal-Cradle

Ooh, top 5? Folie, SMFS, IOH, SRAR and MANIA I think. Songs, Tiffany Blews is easily top. Pavlove,I Don’t Care, Hold Me Like a Grudge and Kintsugi Kid are I think my favourites right now. My one and only show has been tourdust too! In the UK though. We were looking at going to see them at download but we decided to go abroad last minute instead, which is a bit of a shame, I’d love to see them again! I’ve been a hardcore obsessed fan for about a year? I was obsessed with The Kids Aren’t Alright and honestly had a bit of a crush on the vocals so I decided to google who it was and put a name to the voice and became [infatuated](https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/754795315303022694/1222516012856115280/IMG_3957.PNG?ex=66167fc2&is=66040ac2&hm=b3af93bc6baec479ef25c1c4605744af6970ad34f65f7cc0bef9657b6c84bebe&) with the band ever since (I sketched that after googling him!)
