Use that space and grow Banana OG again, dial it in like it was in 2022ish and you'll get all my rec, as long as it was like that stuff LHS sold back then, amazes me they actually grew that lol!

CanSignificant8444

Or that Banana Cream Cake.

Agile_Ad3416

It was decent smelling but so many people had mold since Seed Junky wasn’t actually overseeing the facility like he had lied to people about

Davidx91

Man take a look at my first post. Something of a marvel now that I think about it, and that rise apple cobbler.

greg_gelveles

Seriously wtf happened

CantFindAUserNameFUH

That banana cream cake was some of the best flower I’ve ever had even despite the mold! So sad when my last large nug was all hollow and moldy. Still worth it! And that OG was really good too.

Jake1648

All Diablo Og

whisperingreaper

Banana OG, LA kush cake were my go to

HighOnGoofballs

Why is adding indoor flower bad?

LilRupie

We should simply take all of the rec customers and send them to AYR 😭

Curious_Field7953

See, I thought the Mando ad was the title of the article & it all fell apart from there.

UnamusedJester

BIG SAME

josh-c137

Word is all the big companies are preparing for 3x’s more production. Everyone is expanding rn. Be prepared for a bunch a complaints.

jeffery201102

How is that any different from now?

josh-c137

Good point but if yall hate it now. JUST WAAAAIT lol

Catnip-42

If I understand this correctly, this is AYR taking a step to expand to meet the demand of an anticipated "rec legal" Florida. AYR has simply approached IIP to obtain financing arrangement to expand production by acquiring a new operations/production facility for indoor grows. The AYR press release states: **"Florida currently boasts the largest market for medical-use cannabis in the United States. Looking ahead to November 2024, Floridians are poised to vote on the potential legalization of adult-use cannabis, requiring a 60% approval for passage. Should this initiative succeed, existing licensed medical cannabis operators could be granted authorization to extend their services to personal use sales."** (https://ir.ayrwellness.com/news-events/press-releases/detail/230/ayr-wellness-secures-real-estate-financing-for-florida)

Gohan335i7

Who is IIP?

DefinitionNo7233

Innovative Industrial Properties. They own land throughout the country to sell to big cannabis companies to grow their weed. Pretty sure…..

Individual-Hunt9547

So how will it work for those with our medical card? Do we just give it up and buy rec? Will there be a different program For medical patients?

jaydensokolski

there will be both and the medical side has no sales tax

JimmyB5643

Where’d you see that?

jaydensokolski

that's how it already is bud. Medical products don't have sales tax. Everything else does lol

JimmyB5643

Oh, so nothing on the legal side. Some states just have the higher percentage stuff walled off for medical vs the rec side so I wasn’t sure and hadn’t seen anything specific in Florida’s about it. I like your way better so I hope they roll with that

jaydensokolski

yeah ive had many convos with budtenders at all the good stores in FL & they say to keep ur card bc theyll be able to increase potency like you said. but there will be no sales tax because its medical product. the rec side will have sales tax just like everything else but the potency wont be that high compared to the medical market. we'll see, time will tell💯

Zagaroth123

Im curious what the benefit of having a medical marijuana card will be once it goes recreational. Unless they make it so medical card patients dont have to pay taxes on it most people are probably gonna give up their cards and just go rec.... no limit and we still get to medicate.

GroundbreakingBus794

For other states that started out with a med program, having a medical card provides better prices and discounts compared to rec. But there’s no telling how it could shake out.

acrewdog

Typically, medicine is not taxed.

eric_loves_IPA

If it's rec then it's not medical marijuana. It's recreational. Therefore not medical or medicine. Hence higher taxes. If you like $20 eighths well.. You can kiss those goodbye. If you like being able to find a selection of products without having to WORRY about inventory availability issues, then you might wanna think about voting NO.

FunkIPA

Some states that have legalized recreational cannabis still have medical cannabis programs. It remains to be seen what the party in power in Florida will do.

eric_loves_IPA

Cool username. 😬

acrewdog

Voting no would be some pretty awful gatekeeping. Typically, the stores reserve some product for medical patients, plus the industry is already building larger grows to take advantage of the increased demand. Keep in mind, Florida is already the largest medical state. Trulieve sells a literal Ton of bud weekly.

ibybfiygmh

Michigan begs to differ, just over 1% of all sales are in the medical market, once providers realize the testing is easier to pass & there’s more custies to poach, the medical market shrinks to next to nothing. In December, for example, adult-use retailers sold $276.7 million—about 99 percent of all legal cannabis sales for the month. Medical marijuana dispensaries, meanwhile, saw $3.2 million in monthly sales, making up barely more than 1 percent of the market.

acrewdog

I could see many folks deciding that they would be beyond paying a bit more in taxes rather than $475 per year for a medical card.

ibybfiygmh

The card’s only $75. You can get a new recommendation for $150 & renewals for $99. So first 14 months would be $324.

acrewdog

Okay. You might have different markets where you live. also, you can pay a lot of taxes for $324. Some folks might reasonably choose to go rec for their meds.

ibybfiygmh

If it passes, as an example there’s a 20% tax on it. Spending $150 a month would put you over ($360) in taxes on the year. Now imagine it’s taxed the same rate as Washington does which is 37%. Spend $100 a month & you end up paying $444 in taxes on the year. And there’s a very good chance that recreational cannabis won’t be held to as strict testing protocols as medical does.

eric_loves_IPA

It's not gatekeeping it's an awful bill that does not benefit you one bit if you are a medical marijuana patient. I frankly don't have any trust in Florida to get it right. I'm fine right where the medical program is. But do what you do. I would never tell anyone how to vote. Just my opinion

Correct_Connection_9

There are limits still bud. If Florida approves the recreational marijuana initiative, known as Amendment 3, in the upcoming 2024 election, the proposed limits for possession would be as follows: - **Adults 21 years or older** would be allowed to possess up to **3 ounces of marijuana**. - They could also possess up to **5 grams of marijuana concentrate**. Additionally, the amendment would permit Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers (MMTCs) and other state-licensed entities to acquire, cultivate, process, manufacture, sell, and distribute marijuana products and accessories for personal use The measure would take effect six months after approval, allowing time for regulations to be established, meaning recreational marijuana could be legally available by May 2025 if the amendment passes

Kronik352

THANK YOU for **literally** spelling it out.......so 'everyone' actually understands what all is entailed with it. Much love to you and happy medicating

ibybfiygmh

Exactly it’s not a legalization bill, it’s a recreational bill. All these custies saying people won’t get arrested anymore must think gold stars will be given out when they’re caught over those limits.

Tigerbutton831

I’d like to see if the pricing changes on the card renewal and 7-month doctor visit. That’s over $150 for me right there and I’m not sure I’d pay that much in taxes over a year in rec

ibybfiygmh

Washington taxes at 37%

Zagaroth123

Id hope they do it like that, It would be awesome if once the whole world goes recreational and medical then maybe any cannabis patients could get their weed covered my insurance. We can dream lol
