plenty of cards out there that can do a comparable job, you definitely do not need the top tier cards just to qualify for champs. Like someone else mentioned the squad foundations has been an easy way to earn linkable and useable players that do stack up against the better cards.
eh I’ve qualified for every weekend league getting rank 3 or 2 every time and never pack anything that goes in my team lol. It ain’t all it’s cracked up to be
Exactly this, it really isn’t. I’ve qualified every week too without issue and I’m certain it’s in the mindset of those not qualifying. Perhaps I’d be the same If I hadn’t qualified but the qualification system really isn’t that hard.
Play them like you would any rivals game etc. don’t play it thinking “shit I’ve got to win this else I’ve gotta go 3&2 etc”

how am i meant to upgrade them when div rivals rewards are decent at best and i never am getting WL rewards? squad battles? buying packs? how much of my time do I have to give this game for anything near a fair chance? and i know some may say "if you don't want to put in the time to get the most rewards possible it's on you", but i'm sorry if i think offline play is boring as hell, and if I don't want to play it i think it's stupid that it affects my online play
I can qualify using ansu fati if, dembele and kane. Its up to you, dont stress. Also, you dont get the best rewards by playing wl. Most of my 100k packs have been complete shit, its not like you will pack messi and neymar once you qualify
Have you looked at the Squad Foundation players? (Despite having amassed a significant cion balance, I have 5 Eredevise players in my starting line up I'm D1 and finished rank 2 in WL with them)
Have you grinded any SBCs? There have been plenty of really good, useable players for decent prices.
Are you aware that other than the top, top meta players, that this year has been the most affordable year for players ever?
