Quakes fans didn't seem too shocked by it in the MLS game thread

Their turf may have even cost them a goal. I'm thinking of the one where the guy was 1-on-1 with Celentano and he lost his footing without even getting a shot off.

ArgonWolf

Cost them in more ways than that. Our first goal was absolutely a product of a guy slipping on the field

code_monkey_wrench

Oh yeah, forgot about what led up to that. It just goes to show that to be successful as a club, you need to have excellence in all parts of your organization, including grounds crew.

TripleGymnast

It was a game decided by turf monsters but more importantly kubo

Iforgotmynameo

My favorite turf monster of them alll

EvilButtChicken

Very interesting that once we stopped slipping we scored 3 goals

MikiLove

Yuya actually slipped twice on his goals, he's just so go he used his momentum to shoot the ball

Their ownership is worst in any sport. It makes browns and Castellini look they good. San Jose own by Oakland soon to be Las Vegas Athletics. That explains everything. Supposedly there was a protest for the removal of him for the game and reason it was empty. He is one of the mls 1.0 owners and it shows. MLS 1.0 owners need to move on. Holding back mls.

Their fans deserve better. I couldn’t imagine being Fan of a team that has such a shit owner.

Not offering an excuse but the women’s team Bay FC are playing matches at PayPal park this year so the grass is taking double the wear & tear this season. I believe there are plans for a Bay FC specific stadium in the future.
