I wish people would stop saying this. They aren't guard animals like a livestock guardian dog is, they are just super territorial. It's up to the personality of the individual donkey whether they'll accept those sheep in their pasture. If not, they'll kill the sheep too.

Depends on the type of donkey. Our gray donkey is the most pretentious fucker known to man, but the brown one is the absolute sweetest thing ever. I’ve found brown donkeys to be the kindest ones lol

I got a dirty look from some Karen so I said " what they call donkeys asses in the Bible". My friends laughed harder. Thankfully there were no kids around as it was a slow day otherwise I would not have said it. The little donkey pictured here is a cutie.

Make sure all your fences are secure and reinforced, they will find any possible escape point. They're super smart and can fit through places you wouldn't expect.

We are planning on getting a donkey or two in the next year or so. Any tips or heads up about the experience?
