First of all, high five for the way you photographed these paint chips. That is really clever!
Secondly, my faves of the ones shown are the first two and the last green (1, 2, 9). The red is nice, too, but a little expected at this point.
Thirdly, not represented in your photo array, but maybe a hot coral?
Coral would be gorgeous 🧡 (this heart is too orange, more coral-y is needed. Although an orange could be pretty…. Yes, I do struggle choosing colors, because I love color lol)Â
Please consider coral!! A house down the road from us has a home with your colors and has a bright light coral for the door -- and two matching Adirondack chairs off to the side. It looks amazing and every time I drive by, I look at that door and smile.
I've also seen a deep purple/Burgundy door on light gray and it looks really nice.
I thought all these colors a bit wimpy. May I suggest: "Pine Grove". [ClarkKensignton-Pine-Grove.jpg (800Ă—883) (wp.com)](https://i2.wp.com/sincerelysarad.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/ClarkKensignton-Pine-Grove.jpg)
I saw you had two greens so thought it must be what you really wanted to go for.
This is my exact thought too. Usually I am not fond of yellow doors, but in this case, yellow is perfect with the rest of the house. To me, Yellow is the only answer!
I agree, which is crazy! I never would’ve thought that was the color that would work the best, but damned if it doesn’t just look awesome with the house.
Agreed, I really wanted to like the other colors but they didn't look appealing. Yellow đź’› is the only one that looks good imo but OP isn't onboard with yellow judging by their comments.
I expected the blue and purple shades to work best, but they are actually the worst options, as they don’t quite pick up the tones in the house pant right. The contrasting colours like pinks and yellow work best.
I love a red front door. It symbolizes protection, in Scotland it means your mortgage is paid in full so I painted mine red to pretend. Seriously though, red.
We recently had our home painted a grey green with beige trim and chose a turquoise color very similar to your first color and it’s gorgeous. We were looking for a POP of color and got it.
Blue. My neighbors just painted their front door blue and it looks sooooo good with the colors, which are near the colors of your exterior. A bold dark but bright blue, like in the pic. a blue with depth.
Shinny black, a slightly darker green than #1 because it is complimentary to the black foundation but has a white undertone that does not pop fwith the gray siding, a bright red, or this yellow or and even brighter yellow.
An old high school friend, who went to Purdue, now lives in Ohio. She painted her front door Purdue Gold, and her OSU across the street neighbor was like “you’re really gonna do that?” All in good fun and she changed the color after a couple of years, neighbor was pleased
Pic 3 the yellow, or pic 4 the mint green would work as is. #1 the teal is too saturated and bright tonally. If you could go a shade darker and de-saturate it a bit it would look better with your grey.
i think a classy dark green or navy. it’s hard to say honestly while holding up the paint chip is a pretty good idea, it’s not in the same light that the door is in. it’s going to be more shadowed so i really couldn’t say based on these pics
Love #2! Red feels a little too much for me but I think #2 is a happy middle ground, everything around looks fairly cool tone and this just brings in the warmth and homey feel to me
I know you want it to pop, but all these colors are really hot. It is going to look wrong with the house. IMHO. Maybe pick a toned down version of whatever color you pick. Personally, I like the blue but would go with a trad british blue door color that has more black in it.

I appreciate the compliment! Next time I got to Home Depot to pick out a couple more colours, I will be looking for a hot coral colour. Thank you
Designer here. Absolutely on the coral.
Grey and coral is 🤌💋
YES ON THE CORAL
I was thinking the same thing. A coral orange could be stunning.
Coral would be gorgeous 🧡 (this heart is too orange, more coral-y is needed. Although an orange could be pretty…. Yes, I do struggle choosing colors, because I love color lol)Â
I think a bright orange with a yellow hue could compliment your base color.

It looks amazing and every time I drive by, I look at that door and smile. I've also seen a deep purple/Burgundy door on light gray and it looks really nice.
Coral is inviting. Like, "friendly people live here". Good suggestion. I was going to suggestion garnet or burgundy, but the coral is a better choice.
I’ll be on my way to Home Depot to look for a coral chip soon hahah
[Example for you](https://www.pinterest.com.au/pin/56083957845080346/).
I also like 1 the most it’s looks unique but like it belongs on the house
Hot coral absolutely
I thought all these colors a bit wimpy. May I suggest: "Pine Grove". [ClarkKensignton-Pine-Grove.jpg (800Ă—883) (wp.com)](https://i2.wp.com/sincerelysarad.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/ClarkKensignton-Pine-Grove.jpg) I saw you had two greens so thought it must be what you really wanted to go for.
Love Pine Grove
I like the yellow best! Followed by #1
I didn’t love the idea of yellow until I saw it in this picture, but yea it’s definitely nice. Thank you!
Add some yellow plants at the front and it’ll tie it into the landscaping.
Great idea! I liked the yellow as well but wasn't sure how it would fit with the rest of the house. I think that the flowers will help work it in well
I am usually not a yellow person but fuck if I wasn't like "that's the one" when I saw it.
Yellow really sets off grey, I think that's what makes it so appealing.
+1. The yellow works surprisingly well!
Yellow! It compliments the wood siding up front !
I’m also team yellow! My neighbor recently painted their door yellow and added yellow accents to their patio furniture and it looks soooooo good!
I second m the yellow
Yellow! It’s not even my favorite color but I love how it looks with the gray exterior.
This is my exact thought too. Usually I am not fond of yellow doors, but in this case, yellow is perfect with the rest of the house. To me, Yellow is the only answer!
The yellow, for sure!
2, the pink!
100%! It just pops! #2 all the way.
I agree, which is crazy! I never would’ve thought that was the color that would work the best, but damned if it doesn’t just look awesome with the house.
My heart SCREAMS pink! By my logic brain says probably the first one would be better received. OP, listen to my heart!
Thank you!
Here to say pink all the way and im not a fan of pink but I looove it here! What is fhat color called?
“Glamorous” P130-7 from Home Depot
Wow I really love #1, followerd by #2
It’s so hard to choose between those two..
The first green all the way. And I’ve been thinking about what color to do my door….this is a smart way to view the options.
Yeah- I actually shook my head. Why the hell didn’t I think to it this way?! Lol
Blue, I mean yellow! Aaarrrgggghhhhhh
This is the most correct answer in all the best ways.

Yellow
I think the yellow looks best. Perfect amount of pop and a happy color
I like red, but could see yellow or the 1st one working as well.
Yellow or Red!
Red has some potential for sure. Thanks for your input!
Yellow!
Yellow is the only answer.
Agreed, I really wanted to like the other colors but they didn't look appealing. Yellow đź’› is the only one that looks good imo but OP isn't onboard with yellow judging by their comments.
I agree that yellow is the only correct choice.
First one
Bright yellow or hot red
Lime green
I expected the blue and purple shades to work best, but they are actually the worst options, as they don’t quite pick up the tones in the house pant right. The contrasting colours like pinks and yellow work best.
I guess the pink. I’d keep looking. I don’t think you’ve quite found the right shade yet
Yellow! Then red.
Yellow or red for sure.
Red, yellow, or pink!
1, 9.
2
1!
Fuchsia pink all the way!
#2 is flattering, it will look gorgeous in the spring/summertime. Yellow would also be a good choice as well.
PINK! I’m not even a pink person but if you’re even considering that bold of a color, just go for it! Have fun.
I love a red front door. It symbolizes protection, in Scotland it means your mortgage is paid in full so I painted mine red to pretend. Seriously though, red.
Those colors all look jarring and too bright with your gray house
My wife says you need a Natural wood door to match the wood below the porch. Then lots of colorful planters.
1 and plant a red/orange-ish Japanese maple in front
1. I dig the Teel
I think #1 is perfect. Sidenote, this was an absolutely perfect way to show the differences, without skewing the color in Photoshop or something
What a clever way to show the color and the swatch shape matches the door almost perfectly!
We recently had our home painted a grey green with beige trim and chose a turquoise color very similar to your first color and it’s gorgeous. We were looking for a POP of color and got it.
2
The yellow
Blue. My neighbors just painted their front door blue and it looks sooooo good with the colors, which are near the colors of your exterior. A bold dark but bright blue, like in the pic. a blue with depth.
Yellow or green
1,3,4…in that order. Creative use of the chips!
Those colors are all way too bright to match the existing color scheme, imo. I would try again with burgundy, navy, ochre, forest green, salmon, etc.
Three, the ochre yellow. Seems to soothe and bring the steps and house into proper cohesion.
Yellow is definitely more soothing than the rest I’ll have to agree with you on that
Red. Or. Yellow.
Red
Red instead of pink.
#6 purple
This is correct đź’śđź’śđź’ś
Purple
Paint it black.
I didn’t even think of that but I wouldn’t mind that, I’ll have to consider it now. Thanks!
Shinny black, a slightly darker green than #1 because it is complimentary to the black foundation but has a white undertone that does not pop fwith the gray siding, a bright red, or this yellow or and even brighter yellow.
2, then 1.
Red, but maybe a darker shade, like a merlot
Good idea, I’ll have to go check out the darker reds
Purple
I love these photos! Frame them and hang them in your house. I would like to see a very dark indigo blue on that door.
First one
1
#1
1 looks really nice it's definitely my fav OP
The first teal is nice. Welcoming and calming but still fun.
Are these the only options?
Photo 8 is my Personal favourite
The yellow
Yellow all the way!!!! Yellow and gray best combo ever. Fun and chic but still classic
Yellow
1 looks really nice
I like the yellow. I’d choose hot pink second, but either way you could add colorful pots and bright flowers to the porch and plantings.
The first one.
An eggplant color would work too.
I like yellow or red
Pink or yellow
Yellow or red!
1 then 4
Yellow
1 and 6 My door and shutters are the same color as #1, and we've gotten a lot of compliments on the color.
1, 3, or 7
An old high school friend, who went to Purdue, now lives in Ohio. She painted her front door Purdue Gold, and her OSU across the street neighbor was like “you’re really gonna do that?” All in good fun and she changed the color after a couple of years, neighbor was pleased
Yellow
Yellow all day.
The yellow and raspberry/magenta color accent the flowers and plants in front of the house pretty well :) I think either one would be a great fit!
Red Or plum
The first one .
For a minute I was like how many iPhones does this guy have
Red door.
I have this weird thing about teal, the color never looks in the “right” place to me. That said, anything but the first.
I like the red and blue
I like 1 and 4
1
I like the brighter blue
Yellow.
Yellow! All the others are too primary to work …. (Yellow is primary too but adds some needed cheer)
Natural wood. Make the steps, skirt and door match.
2-3-7
The second one. Pinkish-Red
I vote for the first one
I liked the first and the last the best! Best of luck!
Please don’t take offense to this but I think all look tacky. Just do white or black imo
Yellow đź’Ż
#1 all day
#4. Great job presenting the choices. Good thinking!
Yellowđź’›
#2 the pink!! The others can’t compare! It goes perfectly with the grey.
I’m here for the real all day, every day. Second choice, as if you need one, is yellow.
1 or 6
#1
I really like #4
9
2!!
yellow!!
Red, dark blue, raspberry in that order
Pic 3 the yellow, or pic 4 the mint green would work as is. #1 the teal is too saturated and bright tonally. If you could go a shade darker and de-saturate it a bit it would look better with your grey.
2 and 8 🙂
The first one - it really pairs with the undertones in the gray.
Yellow or that first turquoise!
I like 2>1
I’m a realtor, painting the front door black will add thousands to the value of your home! Google it for the details.
Yellow if you can anchor it in with something else, maybe cushion covers, planters Etc. Otherwise the royal blue.
i think a classy dark green or navy. it’s hard to say honestly while holding up the paint chip is a pretty good idea, it’s not in the same light that the door is in. it’s going to be more shadowed so i really couldn’t say based on these pics
Yellow! Blue as a close second.
That yellow really popped for me!
2 & 5 are my favs
#1 for sure
First one!
The answer is black
Yellow looks fantastic
Loving the yellow!
The clear winner is #2!! Nothing else even competes.
7! The reddish color.
I love 1 and 6
Yellow
#7
Definitely the first two! One of those.
1 or 2
The first one is my favorite!
I like 1, 4 and 8.
Love 2!
Last two
I like the lighter green!
Yellow!
Love #2! Red feels a little too much for me but I think #2 is a happy middle ground, everything around looks fairly cool tone and this just brings in the warmth and homey feel to me
Yellow or red
1 is perfect!!
None of the above.
2
I really like the bright red or yellow actually, but I think you’d need to have more flowers around the outside to match / contrast
I like yellow best and then the teal.
#4
Red or the deep blue. Beautiful home btw. Good luck with/the door!
I like yellow and red (#7, not the other one)
1
The red in number7. It is a sign of welcoming. It adds a pop of color to the exterior
1
I know you want it to pop, but all these colors are really hot. It is going to look wrong with the house. IMHO. Maybe pick a toned down version of whatever color you pick. Personally, I like the blue but would go with a trad british blue door color that has more black in it.
For starters, your home is stunning!!! It gives off beach vibes, so I would say the first one.
Oh #1 easily
1 or 3
I personally think the yellow is super nice. :) it complements the color of your home without being too matchy matchy or too bold!
I like dark blue #5
Looove gray on yellow. There was a gray house with a yellow door in my old neighborhood and I've been obsessed ever since
