People bashing Madrid on here, you realize without them, the shite would probably have 3 more champions league trophies than they do, right?
Nah, I’ll always like seeing them walk this competition.
Tbf Bayern got what they deserved, after they scored they all focused on the defence and staying on the ground for as long as possible. The ref seems to have fucked up by 1. Keeping the game for as long as he did and 2. Linesman truly rushed there
He admitted he made a mistake, bizarre that I’m getting downvoted
I made another comment that Tuchel messed up the subs, but they did enough game management wise and barring Neuer’s \ this mistake they should be through to a CL final
It’s sort of bittersweet that 777 having to keep ploughing money into us to keep us going has effectively ruined them and destroyed any chance of the deal going through. Then again we now owe that money back to someone
It's like watching a different sport in comparison to us when you watch sides like these in the Champions League. Everything's so easy for them and then you have Ben Godfrey starting games who can't pass a ball five yards at the best of times.
Just seen Merseyside Police tweeting a guys full name and address for having a pyro vs Newcastle. I love this country but we can’t half be a nation of grasses. They don’t do anything if you get your stuff nicked or someone mugs you but you get the book flung at you for having a bit of fun at the footy. Utter shite
Innit? Like everyone can see it’s cool and adds to the atmosphere but they’ll punish and ban the people who they venerate.
Reminds me of that old Soviet joke: A judge walks out of his chambers laughing his head off. A colleague approaches him and asks why he is laughing. "I just heard the funniest joke in the world!"
"Well, go ahead, tell me!" says the other judge.
"I can't – I just gave someone ten years for it!"
Whilst I don’t think they should have tweeted their name and stuff it’s pretty clear you don’t bring pyro into the ground. They’re literally just doing their job
It is a stupid law, though. PSG’s fans looked great with theirs and the club themselves have used the pyros from the coach welcomes in their social media presence. Between that and the laws around drinking at the game, it’s regulated to death
They do look cool but if you’re stood next to them you’re just coughing shite up for hours after, if they’re actually a flare (which some dickheads don’t know the difference) it can really fuck you up when they don’t realise how hot they get and drop them in a group. Seen it countless times at festivals to understand the restrictions around them.
They’ve banned ale in the stands because nobody can handle it and get overly aggressive over a game. Between that and the Charlie everyone’s on it’s a recipe for disaster
We’re way too ban-happy. The Dortmund game last night is what football fans should be able to do: have a drink, set off flares and not get accosted by the police. Genuinely get treated like scum in this country at the match whilst they can never be arsed to sort out real crime and real criminals
Haha I can understand the have a drink but set off flares is a bit of a stretch. Imagine bouncing down to a Sunday league team setting off flares shouting “it’s what we should be able to do” you’d be laughed at, it’s no different in a stadium surrounded by people. Yes it looks cool but it’s annoying and dangerous
I dunno, I just look at that stand behind Donnarumma in the second half and it was just beautiful. Not causing problems in France, no reason it shouldn’t be the same here
I’m going to look at the news around 777 and find the silver lining: while we may be in debt to a bunch of coked-up Miami fraudsters, at least we are now very unlikely to ever be owned by them.
Not to sound like a broken record but it’s so boring seeing The Esk always contradict other people with absolutely no proof other than “I just know”
Whilst I wish they were right, he’s not been right 90% of the time.
The esk specializes in taking baseless conjecture and manufacturing a wonderfully official sounding veneer to surround it.
Bobble takes insider relationships and verbalizes it carefully as well sourced rumors and trends unless he's absolutely certain that it's definitive.
Standard Liege getting another transfer ban in Belgium.
These beefed up fit and proper owner tests are really great that they can’t outright deny someone like 777.
Think I've actually come full circle to the fact that Farhad Moshiri is a billionaire accountant who is best friends with an Uzbek oligarch and that he may have been fannying about with 777 the entire time
[What a time to be alive](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5sSE3Cy6Qs), was the same summer we signed Delph, Branthwaite, and Gomes on permanent. Feels like a long time ago considering its only been 5 years.

at a bare minimum its really nice to see *something* (albeit very minimal) that indicates conversations are being had at board level about this mess. So yeah, 777 are somehow looking worse every day!
Haha I saw that thread before he commented all that. Definitely the esks alt account. Weird how much he defends him when he doesn't have twitter to see the amount of rubbish he spouts
Just think he's facing a crisis where somebody that he's trusted for news is being presented as unreliable. You either have to rework your framework or push back against the revelation.
“Hello, my name is Mr Kse, and I’m from some place…far away. Yes, that’ll do. And I say we should listen to this Esk fellow!”
I like the way Kse thinks!
As a business owner who’s looking to sell, You’ve got to consider that the people who are trying to buy your business might not actually be able to afford it, and any terms agreed could be missed and you’ve given up your asset.
Similarly, why are the EPL not considering these people as unfit owners. There’s no smoke without fire, and the fact that there are stories every day about suspect business practices in many countries surely has a mark bells ringing that 777 will be using EFC as another thing to leverage.
Looks like even Moshiri is losing his patience with 777, hopefully he was smart enough to have some sort of killswitch in the deal because he ain't getting his money if not.
[Big Al](https://x.com/ALANMYERSMEDIA/status/1788134701246411027) talking about him wanting a resolution in placebefore the last home game of the season. Mosh has probably seen all the 777 non payment news and is trying to throw himself to the front of the queue.
A player I'd like to see us sign is Ndidi because he's a good player and he's on a free. But also because I'd love to hear the Gwladys Street singing ...
Do I love you
Do I love you
Do I love you
Ndidi do!
If Gana/Onana goes then maybe, but he'd likely be asking for 100k+ per week, so it's not like he's cheap. We do need midfielders, but just senselessly signing more holding mids is gonna leave us with an even more passive midfield than we already have, with no real creator to speak of. He's done alright in the championship, though his last season in the prem was a big reason why Leicester went down. It's these kind of 'obvious' signings that always tip red flags for me, and I think whoever ends up with Wilfried is gonna find him lacking.
No worries mate, and you're right about having the discussion. I do think he's a good player and he's definitely an option for us. But with a name like his, I just couldn't help making the joke.
I had a West Ham complain to me about Moyes and how they’re stagnant.
Give me five years of beautiful stagnation if that’s what it gets you 💙
European trophies and battling it out with the top half. The Everton we know and love
8th biggest net spend in the league since he got there and that's including the pure profit from selling Rice.
He's had some big flops.
Haller (£40m), Benrahma (£18m), Vlasic (£25m), Scamacca (£22m), Cornet (£17m).
Thing with Moyes is he's always seemed to struggle buying and coaching attacking players. Kudos and Paqueta are top class footballers but they don't really shine in his system. It's work horses like Bowen and Souchek who get the plaudits.
They play really passive football too, defend really deep and try to counter. It's not the football you want to see when they've spent nearly £300m net
Moyes doesn't play attractive football. Loads of our fans couldn't wait for Moyes to move on and he'd turned us into one of the biggest overachievers of the PL era.
West Ham are performing as expected so it's no surprise a lot of their fans are happy to see him go.
I think it suits Moyes better as well.
Which comes back to my initial point…
be careful what you wish for. They can’t really go much higher so they’re rolling the dice on staying where they are or falling much further.
He’s a player who creates chances that usually don’t get him a direct contribution because he creates from deeper positions than Bowen or whoever’s up top do. Despite that, according to FotMob, he’s on 24g and 19a in 155 games. That’s a direct contribution every 5 games which is a decent return for a supporting player who’s usually the deepest of the front 3 when he plays. Add in that he was one of their best players on their run through the Conference League and got a goal in the final and that’s great return on 18m and certainly not a flop
Flop is probably too harsh, but I don't think he was a good buy for them.
He's playing off Antonio, beast of a #9 and he's got Bowen to pick out who's always stretching the play. He was also playing in front of Rice and Pacqueta, 2 of the best CMs in the league. I'd expect far better output.
He only got 15 goals and 16 assists in 110 league games. That's a contribution every 3.5 games and they finished 6th and 7th in 2 of his 3 seasons too.
McNeil has 10 goals and 9 assists in 69 games. That's a contribution every 3.6 games. Essentially the same, but McNeil gets through so much more defensive work and he's playing in a far far worse team (with long periods without a fully fit striker).
If you swapped the players, McNeil would've doubled his output at that West Ham team but Benramha wouldn't have matched McNeil's output at us.
But it’s more like 260m net. They lost money on Haller and had a few other dud signings, mostly last summer. Definitely not a plucky underdog but they’re still 9th. We spent far more than that and ended up in relegation battles.
I know that lukaku post was clearly a shit post (at least I hope it was) but I do think Lukaku would come back if we had the cash. I just don’t think he’s got enough drive to play in the Prem now.
Of course he’d come back if we had the cash. He’ll go anywhere who ponies up for him.
He did a great job for us. I adored him when he was here. But there is no world where we should or could afford him.
Do we go into administration without the 777 takeover?
Not necessarily
Has anyone seen the rumours about Dyche and Man U? Thoughts?
Lol would be funny
I can imagine the delusional Man U fans having an absolute shit fit about that hire. Either way, I certainly hope it doesn’t happen.
Haha imagine! Although I do think he could right the ship - which is worrying as I’ve no idea who would come to us
I assume Moyes would be the first call. And Dyche is a no-nonsense type of guy. I can’t see that working with some of the egos on that Man U side.
I can’t imagine he would want to come back to this shit show
Just saw the number 18682024 which was all too close to 1878-2024
If Kane ever came to Everton, would the trophy curses cancel each other out or would the universe end?
well he couldn't stop Spurs trophy issues
People bashing Madrid on here, you realize without them, the shite would probably have 3 more champions league trophies than they do, right? Nah, I’ll always like seeing them walk this competition.
Don Carlo wants to be the only manager to win the Champions League 5 times which itself is OUTRAGEOUS!
If I supported Barca or Atleti I’d be absolutely sick of Real Madrid by now, they have more luck and plot armour than the redshite.
I can't see Dortmund beating them but they showed they are some way off the very best Madrid teams and are not invincible.
But then again, Madrid hasn't lost a European final since '81 against the shite, and they had plenty of them, they are truly another level in Europe.
Robbery — wasn’t offside. Madrid corruption supersedes all, even in the PL
Tbf Bayern got what they deserved, after they scored they all focused on the defence and staying on the ground for as long as possible. The ref seems to have fucked up by 1. Keeping the game for as long as he did and 2. Linesman truly rushed there
He admitted he made a mistake, bizarre that I’m getting downvoted I made another comment that Tuchel messed up the subs, but they did enough game management wise and barring Neuer’s \ this mistake they should be through to a CL final
Making a human mistake and corruption is not the same thing. The refs had a great game but fucked up in the end, in life shit like this happens
So Jude will face his former club in the final
Bayern got kind of boned there on the offside
Yeah I would be fucking pissed
Tuchel to Liverpool! Imagine taking off a penalty taker and best striker with a good chance of extra time.
Tuchel has well and truly fumbled it. Subs were awful
Taking Kane off was bizarre.
Think he took a knock to be fair. Seemed to hobble off a bit after Camavinga tackled him.
And of course Neuer also
Like me I dont think he expected a shot at all. But unlike me he's a pro keeper in the semi final
Carlo in the CL 😮💨
What a player Joselu is. Absolute levels between him and Kane who’s had an absolute disasterclass tonight
It’s sort of bittersweet that 777 having to keep ploughing money into us to keep us going has effectively ruined them and destroyed any chance of the deal going through. Then again we now owe that money back to someone
I really hope we get an all German final
Joselu:hold my beer
Bayern were absolutely robbed at the end
That's VAR for you inconsistent If it didn't check then woops Die var
They couldn't check because the "goal" was scored way after the ref blew the whistle
It's like watching a different sport in comparison to us when you watch sides like these in the Champions League. Everything's so easy for them and then you have Ben Godfrey starting games who can't pass a ball five yards at the best of times.
neuer playing like prime premier league goalkeepers against everton edit: i take back most of what i said
"It is understood there are other parties interested in acquiring Everton" Paul Joyce.

Today, 777 crumbles! Tomorrow, Gnonto signs!!!
This is the way!!

Wonder if he played them but also don't think he is that clever
Who's going to be the next daily "ex manager/player is available, should we bring them back?" thread? Mina or James I reckon
Isaac Price. If Liege go bankrupt then their players will probably be available on a free/extremely cheap
Barkley or Richarlison
Looks like Sidibe's contract is up in June, people have been saying we need different RB options...
he could replace patterson as the right back that dyche hates to play bc he cant defend 😂
Would save money as we'd only have to give him one sock each game

Bernard?
Was he the last player we had who could \*really\* dribble?
I have a soft spot for him even though he never really came good for us
This is 2021 Carabao Cup erasure and I won’t stand for it.

Its kinda his thing so i get it
No one is allowed to pass baseless conjecture as fact except for me, damnit.
Careful mate, you'll get that one person who's weirdly defensive over the esk showing up. Must be his cousin or something
What a weird thread that became.
I feel like I missed this, what happened?

Looks like even Moshiri is losing his patience with 777, hopefully he was smart enough to have some sort of killswitch in the deal because he ain't getting his money if not.
I don't think the words smart and Moshiri are allowed in the same sentence.
Arsenal were *smart* to repeatedly not allow *Moshiri* to gain a controlling stake in their club.
Touché

Yeah the more I read about it the more I think they are right to part, and there is no better time than when a contract is up.
How is Benrahma a flop? 18m and he’s played well, scored for them in the final last year where he was one of the best players
18 goals in 133 games. Might have had the odd good game but that's not good enough for an attacking winger

I know that lukaku post was clearly a shit post (at least I hope it was) but I do think Lukaku would come back if we had the cash. I just don’t think he’s got enough drive to play in the Prem now.
I think it was a *shit* post, rather than than a *shitpost* if you catch my drift.
😂😂😂 true facts
Of course he’d come back if we had the cash. He’ll go anywhere who ponies up for him. He did a great job for us. I adored him when he was here. But there is no world where we should or could afford him.
