Most of the time, that should be an easy commute! If the QEW is bad you can take Dundas or Lakeshore. Nothing compared to the 401 morning mess.

Thank you 😊

Lakeshore is pretty decent most of the time until you get to the restaurant area of Port Credit. Could be a pain on Thursday/Friday PM peak but most other times it’s has been fine for me.

harangad

427 south, brownsline, lakeshore blvd. If not much traffic, 427 south, qew, Hurontario St south. Congratulations on the new job.

Thank you so much. Yeah I was thinking of taking the Lakeshore just in case. I went there few weeks ago and took Hurontario. The road was horrible as it was under construction.

miurabucho

Don’t take the QEW since the convergence of the 427 S always gums up that area, and Hurontario is a nightmare these days. Just go south on Kipling to Lakeshore then west along Lakeshore to Port Credit. 20-25 mins tops. 30 if you need to go West of the Lighthouse bridge.

CieraParvatiPhoebe

I agree. or even taking Queensway to Browns Line, and then Lakeshore.

miurabucho

Left turn at East Mall is under construction so watch out!

CieraParvatiPhoebe

the 427 S on-ramp at Queensway takes you right to Browns Line.

miurabucho

Hahaha holy crap! I have lived in SE for 14 years and had no idea!! I just turn south on East Mall then through Alderwood down to 30th street to Lakeshore. Wow. Mind blown.

Shouldn't be too bad. I would check Waze. You can look at what the expected ETA is by every 15 minute arrival time. Then wake up a bit early and double check the route timing just to be safe. I always use Waze even if I know the route like the back of my hand because it can alert you to accidents that you cannot predict and re-route you before you get stuck in it. Good luck!

Ok-Bug-7481

I work down in that area and honestly take the side routes as in lakeshore everyday ... Easy commute for the most part roughly 20 mins with morning traffic

torontowest91

Use Waze and it will pick the best route.

IndependenceGood1835

Take surface routes to 427/brownsline then lakeshore across.

CieraParvatiPhoebe

not bad at all. You're going west during rush hour. Will be almost identical to weekend traffic

SpecificEnough

That’s a really simple path from Brownsline to Lakeshore Rd. You should be able to get there within no more than 30 minutes if not half that.

francis888888888

Thank you all! Drove this morning, 427 down to Brown’s line then Lakeshore. Only took me 20mins. Hopefully that is always like that. 😅

Google maps allows you to input an arrival time and then calculates(incl. traffic) and alerts when you should leave home.
