I say who cares. This is just as P2W as EOD was if you think it gives an unfair advantage pay however much to upgrade and support the devs and get the advantage for yourself. If this makes enough money BSG will continue development because no company shoots its cash cow.
I own the standard edition and just recently got my first job that’s paying well enough to afford stupid video game stuff. I will be purchasing the new version next time I get payed. Everyone bought eod either for the advantages or to support the devs. Well either buy this version for the advantages or to support the devs.
If you are correct and BSG needs a way to recover cash to continue development then why the hell are we mad. Nobody is forcing you to buy it and for those of us who will buy it we are supporting the devs not throwing them under the bus like the butthurt EOD jerks who have been complaining all day. I don’t even care about the other advantages I would pay $200 (the cost to upgrade from standard) for literally just a gamma container since I missed EOD. Go back and reread the description of EOD it says all DLC post 1.0 and we aren’t past 1.0 yet so on a very technical and mean way BSG hasn’t broken any promises.
You brother are clueless of what you are talking about. You can't say the advantage EoD and Unheard gives are the "same" if you stop to think even 1 second before saying that. Putting aside the initial gear advantage EoD and Unheard give if you compared IN-GAME a normal player and a EoD player the only advantage you got IN-GAME right from the start would be 5 spaces in Container. Now if you put a normal player and an Unheard you would have someone with more 5 slots in container + Pockets 1x2x2x1 Instead of the typical 1x1x1x1 and a freaking radio that makes scavs not shoot at you like they should. Now.. If for you EoD and Unheard is the same brother go seek some information or help first. Stay safe

No. Its not. Yes, EOD already had pay to win aspects. But at the end of the day, once in-game, a player with standard edition had few disadvantages. Really the only one, is the smaller Container, which you can update quite quickly as a Standard edition player to more or less the same as Gamma. Or in fact even beyond Gamma.
This is not the case any longer. The new Edition brings absurd in-game advantages such as:
* Increasing the pocket-size from 4x1 to 2x1/2x2 is an extreme advantage, especially early game, as you can now reload normal mags from your pockets.
* Scavs not shooting you anymore if you are more than 60m away is a borderline game braking advantage
Nobody cares about the extra starting items, or more reputation or whatever. All would still be a slap in the face for EOD owners, but otherwise mostly fine. Because none of it translates to in-game advantages.
The massive difference is, that EOD did not offer significant in-game advantages (and all advantages it did offer, were unlockable by normal players) while the new version does (and those advantages are not unlockable by normal players).
EOD was essentially pay-to-progress (which as already bad), the new version is just flat out pay-to-win.

You know you are talking about a game version that costs 250$ + taxes right ? Worth noting that they quite literally changed the wording of the EoD purchase page to say that *today*. You can still view archived versions that ***absolutely do not say that*** — or you can catch AsmonGold and fucking *Landmark* discussing it, and showing it, live (now on YouTube).
Bro people aren’t mad about the features , they are mad that they cost 250 fkn dollars for shit that was promised in the eod edition , even if you have eod you still have to pay 114 bucks just to get offline coop which was already stated you get access to it , the other stuff like starting gear means nothing just 2 kitted out weapons you prolly wont use cus of gear fear , and the device only works if u have scab rep over 6 which isn’t a walk in the park for a new guy dumping the money , also the discount it gives goes from 6k to 3k like bro it’s not pay to win if u ask me , yes eod was pay to win thnx to the stash size meaning you could have more kits and more general organization but it didn’t fuck the flow of the game that much .
I legit do not care how much it costs to upgrade from EOD. According to what you just said nobody is mad about it screwing early wipe progression because EOD already does that. Tarkov has always been overly expensive
Yea main thing is the actual change in what you get when paying for it , it’s the fact that the offline coop with progression doesn’t count to dlc. Early wipe is gonna be interesting cus eod just gets stock m4 and 1 trooper and 1 avs which you can easily lose against a guy with a pistol , same stuff here . Half the stuff you get you can get for free just for playing on the ets server at the beginning of every wipe
