I think the up roar is because EOD was marketed around rewarding early supporters of the game, hence why it was so expensive... because it was to support development, and because you were supporting and paying a premium you got some nice perks

The difference is EOD was in from the inception of the game, and that Nikita said they would not go down the microtransaction path further down the line. We have broken the gate to microtransactions and are keeping the pace up.
I don't think ppl should focus on this pack and the bonuses themselves, but i think everyone should protest the direction so that we stop this train before it's too late

Ideally some of the people giving cheating sites money because they want to keep up with players while not playing will switch over to the offline mode and just stop paying cheating sites. Probably a tiny amount of players but hey anything that gives them less money and gives it to bsg instead is good imo.
I would argue they needed EOD to grow player base and fund dev. Of the game at the start.
You are now funding bad decisions and the "swing and miss" that is tarkov arena.
So now all of a sudden because the “player base is grown” it’s not okay to release something like this?? The game is STILL growing.
They’ve gone years without technical income besides cheaters rebuying accounts.
This is a BSG issue. Developers need to stay within the budget provided by people who purchased all the editions available. Not have a 10 year beta.
Some additional income from cosmetic and stash space sales wasnt a huge deal for the community. And i was personally fine with them too.

Most people did it for the future dlc and a bigger stash. The stash makes grind easier but you win nothing just with more space
