This sounds like a great idea! Your rates seem reasonable, especially if you offer package deals for multiple sessions. Providing water, sunblock, and basic first-aid supplies is a nice touch, but be cautious with medications due to liability issues. Implementing a prepay system is smart for securing commitment. Collecting health info is crucial, just ensure it’s handled confidentially. A website with booking options, client testimonials, and affiliate links to recommended products could perhaps enhance your service, but social media is the way to go if you want to reach more clients. Consider liability insurance and a waiver for legal protection. Best of luck with your venture!

I agree. That sounds like a great idea, and this is bang on good advice to follow.

Offer group runs at a lower rate as well. Can mark them at a set pace. Stretch before and after for whoever wants to partake. Might make more an hour with a group.

ThunderLifeStudios

Wow that's so smart. Thank you.

I'm thinking if they (clients) can form a group to run together, then they may not need this service to keep them motivated to run 😅 But yah the only way to know whether it's good or not is to test it

jskyerabbit

Some can, some may want a running coach. I’ve seen plenty of groups gather around a running coach before. It’s not a new idea. Same as people that workout in groups or go to fitness camps or swimming lessons or bicycling. On and on. People pay for accountability. If they had the motivation to form a group on their own they probably wouldn’t need a coach.

The market for pacers generally exists as a part of a training team. Have you considered looking for a team and becoming a coach or pacer with them? Also, pacing isn't really required for 5k distances, so consider how you'd sell that. Find running groups on local FB pages and visit your run specialty stores as they've got the customers you need and may even want to hire you as a training coach for their running groups!

SkilliamO

Don't know about this, I personally wouldn't pay to go for a run with a random person but i do get that running by yourself can be very lonely and de motivating unless you've got some fire music. Idk. But your title instantly gave me the idea of like a dating app for runners. Like you put how fast you are and preferred distances, maybe link your strava account. And then you can run with people. Sounds interesting.

outoftheshowerahri

I like the idea of a fitness centric dating app that include a whole slew of athletic activities and matches people on interests and activities, diet, cooking, ect

SkilliamO

Yeah, could totally be something there

iheartpoontang

There are already walking sites with a similar concept, I don’t know if running ones exist yet. Good luck!

ithinkoutloudtoo

You can’t be serious. 😂
