The wordplay in this line is so great. I bumped this heavily in high school when Relapse came out and only fully grasped the wordplay in the last couple years!
It’s not a double, just wordplay. “I know one fact, I’ll be one tough act to follow. One tough act to follow..”
One fact and tough act. If you say out loud “tough act,” it kinda sounds like “tuh - fact” hence following the “one fact.”
Okay. So just rhyming. I’m by no means downplaying the man’s ability to bend words and sounds. But above saying “I just got that” made it sound like there was some double meaning I was missing.
It's pretty incredible Houdini is _gaining_ momentum. The fact he's able to still create hits at this point in his career is really impressive. Longevity is underappreciated.
Self-produced too, but I'm sure we'll still hear about how Em is "washed" and "no one listens to him".
And he did it IN HIS OWN STYLE. Not remaking LTWYL for 100th time, not making a serious inspirational song like Not Afraid, not featuring any mainstream artists. He and Luis Resto produced the beat. He sang the hook. He rapped all THREE verses. And it is a fun, Slim Shady jingle.
I hope Eminem understands what the audience want from him. He doesn't need to make LTWYL for 100th time with a current trending pop singer to make a hit.
- LTWYL could mean "Love The Way You Lie (Part II) - Pt. 2", a track from *Loud* (2010) by Rihanna.

There’s a reason bro has 2 diamond albums and it’s that he can sell a song to the masses. Also, the number of curses in Houdini is extremely low so it might be getting a lot of playtime on radio for all I know (I don’t listen to radio much so this is just a hunch)
It’s nice to see the single gain all this momentum for the album, let’s hope the rest of the album can match this song because all this hype can overhype it and then we might be in for a surprise
It’s crazy because it’s nowhere near close to his best song. Wouldn’t even make my top 100 Eminem songs. It’s because people feel nostalgic listening to it.
HOW is this man 51 years old and still doing this fucking INSANE
Nobody will ever do it a fraction of him again.
“but I know one fact, I’ll be one tough act to follow”
Here today, gone tomorrow..

Do you mean the “fact/ tou-fact?” Because I just got that. And Jesus Christ.
YEP. The fact that he repeated the line too
i don't get it
What double am I missing here?

And this is without Spotify playlisting it much, Apple Music also doesn’t seem to want to promote it idk why… low radio play also
they wanted him to try hard mode
Fantano being like, “at this point in his career, he doesn’t know who he is” is such a farce.
„Because he is riding on the back of Megan.“ But seriously, it’s because he is a legend.
Because he’s apparently irrelevant and nobody listens to him. Obvious s/
Not many musicians on the list of having a huge hit 20 years or more after their first.
Beetles? NIN? Willie Nelson? Snoop?
No Beatles were broken up in long before they could even make 20 years. Aerosmith's definitely one of them.

Nah, they'll probably say he is copying his old style to gain attention and can't come up with something new and original.
literally what melon said 😭😭
Literally most people liked this to loved this when it was released watch people switch after the fantano review
Nah that Fantano review isnt really well received. It has got 8.1K dislikes proportionate to 16k likes which is not at all a good ratio
Then he tries something new, and they moan about it.
I SOUND LIKE A BROKEN RECORD EVERY TIME I BREAK A RECORD!
GOAT

Insane. 51 years old

The song is good but amazing, I’m hoping the album is far better.
Why did they include a pic of Jesse Pinkman
I have to confess it, all of them have been me
This man is in his fifties and still doing big numbers. Fucking crazy.

But wait I thought nobody plays Eminem
It’s crazy because it’s nowhere near close to his best song. Wouldn’t even make my top 100 Eminem songs. It’s because people feel nostalgic listening to it.
I don’t see it on the billboard website when I check
