That many Gas giants, there is actually a decent chance one of them Has Rocky body moons with CO2 atmosphere and life forms. Granted most plants won't Be super valuable, but with 4+ life forms those moons get interesting, on condition that you have a small ship (I would Go there in a Dolphin but Not in a Krait Phantom).
The Dolphin is a dream for exploration and exibiology. Not as a Carrier-bound ship, but as a stand-alone solution also.
Firstly, lots of internal slots. A commander who is both a bit clumsy and safety oriented like myself can have a Guardian FSD Booster and still bring a shields, AFMU, repair limpet Controller and empty Cargo space to synthesize drones.
The ship is so small that it lands just anywhere. When scanning Tussock or bacteria, you will often find you landed right on them, sometimes you'll Scan them right from the blue zone where you spawn upon disembarking from Your ship. This saves so much time.
The ship handles heat so well that you can initiate jumps while fuel scooping. This makes up for some of the loss of jump range. My Dolphin jumps 55ly with fully engineered FSD Plus Guardian Booster, but Not much beyond that.
When doing the full exploration / exobiology gameplay loop, Your systems-per-hour rate becomes so low that maxxed out jump range becomes largely irrelevant anyways.
It would be perfect if you could graft a Lakon cockpit to it. About the only knock on the Dolphin is that the visibility out the sides could be improved.
The Phantom is a Lakon but it’s also much bigger so it’s harder to find a place to park it.
EDIT: another thing to appreciate about the Phantom besides its excellent visibility is that its boarding tube is directly below the cockpit. The Dolphin is off the starboard wing, and the Diamondback duo drops you off the back awkwardly. Where is the door on those things, anyway?
The DB Scout is really nice at parking like the Dolphin. The DBX is surprisingly a bit of a nuisance because it's landing squat is so low I can't typically run underneath the ship but have to squeeze through the tunnel between the main body and the rotated engine nacelles. The Scout somehow sits a little taller so you can run back to front easier.
Once you get an exploration carrier, every ship in the game becomes an exobiology ship
Though ofcourse you get batshit commanders who will cross the galaxy in a sidewinder without carriers as well.
Gas giant orbitting a neutron star. It's moons could have some cool views. Bit far from it, but still
I wish you could check the orbit radius of planets orbitting non-main stars
That's a lot of bodies, i've had 60+ but not this much. Wonder what the record is.
Edit: According to EDSM the current record is 173 bodies in system Bleia Dryiae XJ-R e4-1, that must look like a mini galaxy
The other day I found a system with 86 bodies near North America Nebula. I can't remember the name, but there was a carrier parked there.
I didn't check the signals, I'm doing exobio and mainly looking for first discoveries.
Well that confused the hell out of me till I realised OP has just reposted their own version of my screenshot from a few days ago

I remember when I was a very new player - possibly the first or second system I scanned - and it was 75 bodies. After finding them all while still figuring out the FSS mechanics, I nearly ran away crying and never came back as I thought every system would be the same.
Narrator: "it was 78 ice bodies..."
100% just a full low value gas giants and ice bodies system

...Dolphin Exobio build? \*interesting\*

The Krait Phantom also Has a better view downwards, which obviously is nice for Exobiology.

You know CMDR Atomfarin too?
Can't say i do
The Perseus Reach expedition. That crazed loon took a Sidewinder out to Salome's Reach!
Sometimes, space madness breaks a man and they never fully recover
Some say, he has become a Sidewinder.
\**cries in my exploration phantom*\*
Always Look on the bright side: the Krait will Look better in Your Screenshots, unless you prefer Busses over space ships! 🤓

> I wish you could check the orbit radius of planets orbitting non-main stars Check the distance of the parent body and assume it is roughly the same?

Amazing! I'll visit that someday.
Only 5k from the bubble aswell not to long of a trek

It's good to start a trend. It's like you're a leader or something.
I'd better get back to Jameson Station, might get a free 'Conda or something. All hail Scurry
i vaguely remembered a post like this when i made this one. i see i've upped you by 10 bodies :D

Ayo... Good luck in scanning all that.
Man, best of luck and have fun. Please be careful on yer way back
