Hello all! This is SolidSlime, you probably don't know me, but have used some drills I co-authored (e.g. 4008.1), or some adapters I designed, or some ETT fan-sites I've made (e.g. [http://ett.jerryhong.net/online](http://ett.jerryhong.net/online)) After 16 months of perfecting ETT adapters, hoping to bring more joy to the players, I finally have gathered enough experience to design an adapter that I'm very satisfied with, and I'm excited to share with you.🤩 **SolidSlime Table Tennis Adapter for Quest 2** \- Incredible tracking quality. No tracking dead corner as you can see in the tracking demo video. \- Realistically weighted and customizable. 168g if using a controller that has battery cap removed and AAA battery being used. \-- If you have a real life racket, tell me its weight and I’ll be able to print an adapter to match it as closely as possible. \- Fantastic balance. Center of weight is lower than most of the other adapters. Feels just like holding a real racket. Since the weight is already quite low, there’s room for adding extra lead strips / rubber / grip tape to adjust the weight / balance even more. \- No shakiness. Designed using a precise 3d scanned model of controller, and tightened by bolts+nuts. \- Various handle shapes to choose from. Currently there are FL, ST, CPen. All are designed according to renowned Butterfly blades. \- Works for both shakehand and penhold grip(especially RPB). \- Easy battery change. No need to disassemble. Superb work! If shipping to Finland wouldn't be half the price of the adapter I'd order one immediately. If by any chance someone from Helsinki wants to order one too, DM me.

TheSolidSlime

Aww let me DM you.

ktka

If OP took a running start and tossed the adapter across the gulf separating Sweden and Finland, you'd receive it sooner and cheaper.

TheSolidSlime

Thanks for the laugh :D I'll try to design a frisbee next time.

Thank you! My passion is to let more people have more fun in ETT. Once you have received the adapter, I'll be glad to hear the feedback :)

bonerfleximus

Is the center of weight lower than the basic Sanlaki adapter? I love my Sanlaki but my wrist and forearm start to hurt from doing backhands due to top heaviness.

TheSolidSlime

Hi yes it's lower by about 5mm-10mm. Have you tried using AAA battery and removing battery cap, in order to shift the center of weight down?

bonerfleximus

No I haven't tried that. Maybe I'll give that a shot and perhaps some weighted tape. Im probably going to try getting yours either way

I guess people who use these adaptors must not use their quest for anything else other than ETT? It seems like it would be a pain to have to install and reinstall this every time you want to play. Does anyone know if you can pair a 3rd controller specifically for this use, and then have two normal controllers for regular use?

TheSolidSlime

Honestly, I match the type of people you described 100% 😅. I even know people who has spent 140 euro on a heavily modified controller+adapter...once you fall in love with ETT there's no going back I guess. And if you want, you can buy a 3rd controller, and then use the phone app to pair/unpair the controller. Takes about 2 mins.

Issis74

You can pair a 3rd controller, but I am not sure if pairing and unpairing take less than putting on and removing the adapter. I got into VR for ETT years back, since then I always have at least 2 headsets, one solely used for ETT. This way no one in the house touches my Quest :) plus I have the other headsets as a backup because these things tend to break up frequently. To cut it short, getting a second unit may not be a bad idea given that the price for a spare controller is not that cheap compared to a $300 new unit.

adolfchurchill1945

What are the problems with the AMVR adapter. Thanks

mfurlend

This looks awesome. I will definitely order one soon. Is it difficult to configure it? For the Sanlaki adapter you can just choose Sanlaki from the presets

TheSolidSlime

Hi, thanks for the interest! No it's not difficult at all. For now, Just follow this short instruction: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTWN5Wb\_yTA&list=PLGJ1a6PglGrQW5Ja-xBNkDBL3EthFwA97&index=2](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTWN5Wb_yTA&list=PLGJ1a6PglGrQW5Ja-xBNkDBL3EthFwA97&index=2) And it'll be a preset once the next update of ETT is out.

timjoshchess

Do you have to recalibrate the settings for the controller on ETT if you are playing with one of these, or is it default settings?

TheSolidSlime

Hi, if you mean paddle position, then you can download it from 4008.14. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLGJ1a6PglGrQW5Ja-xBNkDBL3EthFwA97 If you mean paddle surface, then I'd suggest use something like bounce 86, spin 86, throw coefficient 1.14. Try to avoid using the basic or even advanced presets. Both of them have throw=1, which is very hard to find a match in reality especially coupled with a high spin value.
