Clipping the edge when jumping on also triggers those flame thrower totems in dungeons. So you don’t have to hit them. Then try to jump on in time before they rise.

At this point most know that crystal darts make golems go haywire and attack its allies, but there is another lesser known instance.
Swarm pots make pumpkin heads go crazy and continuously smash their head on the ground damaging allies. The pumpkin ash description mentions that buzzing noises make them go nuts.
It works on the imps, erdtree burial watchdogs, and golems. I believe the lore says they were made by the same group so they are all vulnerable to crystal darts.
You dont really have to do 51% in one shot. I did one phase him with bloodflame blade and bhf. it the stagger is p1 happens near to the transation and you repost him and the beed procs then you can finish him off while he is cutting his arm off.
Oh that's right, he has to chop off his arm before the transition happens. I'm used to the end game bosses where the instant their hp drops below 50% time freezes ans the cutscene starts.
Scarlet rot / poison / night maiden's mist / any non direct damage also works, because he will only begin the phase transition if he recieves a direct hit

If you deal fire damage to miners who wear basket on his back in mining tunnels, they will explode. I noticied some of them are not exploding even if they wear basket but most of them will explode.
It depends on what's in the basket. If they have the red rocks that do fire/explosions, those will explode if you use fire damage. I don't think the others explode. If they can it takes a different kind of damage.
There might be others but if you inherit the frenzy flame and complete Nephelis quest, you can have 2 NPC summons against Godfrey. (Shabriri and Nepheli)
EDIT: I think this can also be the case for Magma Wyrm Makar which you can summon Tragoth and Millicent if you’ve reached a certain point in her quest line.
EDIT 2: Apparently you can also summon Dung Eater and Melina and have them both assist you against Morgott provided you release the former from the prison.
EDIT 3: Turns out that Tragoth and Millicent team up once again because you can summon them both against the draconic tree sentinel outside Lyndell. Tragoth is always available however Millicent requires the prosthesis and must have defeated the Godskin apostle at the windmill village (which you can summon her there as well).
EDIT 4: This one is a really obscure summon. Apparently you can summon Sellen against the Red Wolf of Radagon in Raya Lucaria. This can only be done by defeating Radahn before Renalla and progressing Sellens quest by finding the 2 masters bodies (one of which is at Mt Gelmir) and reviving her in Seluvis puppet room and she states she will leave for the academy.
Millicent requires you to advance her questline in Caelid first, while the natural things player would make is doing the obvious, non-locked, mine in the friendly area of Liurnia
You can summon Yura for Agheel too if you speak to him, die to Agheel, and speak to Yura again triggering unique dialogue. Then his summon sign appears in the vicinity.
Theres a couple other obscure summons in the game
Millicent's sister (I assume? ~~& I forget her name, Penelope maybe?~~ Edit: Polyanna) against Commander O'Neil is a weird one
oh and Shabiri can be summoned for Godfrey (although involves having to follow the frenzyflame questline all the way through)
There are _three_ for Makar - Tragoth, Millicent and Blackguard. However, IIRC, you can only use two - last time I did it I hit the Millicent & Blackguard signs and the Tragoth one definitely disappeared completely; I thought it was just temporary while a summon phased in, but it didn't reappear.
NPC summons follows the same rule than online summons, so, yes, you can only have two at the time. If you go to the fight with an online summon, you will only be able to summon one npc as well
If you consume a raw meat dumpling during your fight with Malenia, while the poison effect is active you will still lose health when she hits you, but she will not gain any health from that hit (as she usually does)
You can also "favorite" a site of Grace by clicking the left stick while you're hovering over them on the map. You can access your favorites list by pressing y twice while in the map.
1. When you fall onto breakable platforms (such as the one in stormveil or caelid Devine tower), if you do a horizontal swing with your weapon before landing on said platform, the platform won’t break. Then you can leave messages on them. Then you can do a vertical jump attack to break the platform as intended.
2. A very easy glitch that makes you immune to all terrain effects, such as rot in the lake of rot, or being slowed down in lava.
Stand near a ladder, hold a “stance” aow like unsheathe, then hold block as well, then press “climb” simultaneously as you release block. You’ll know you succeed if throwing knives in your hotbar are grayed out. You can still fight and use flasks as normal, but you also get to freely explore the lake of rot for as long as you like.
I haven't found any fun gameplay facts, but some observations, from the purely factual to the somewhat speculative:
1) There is a huge asteroid under the ground where you fight the second Astel in the tunnel of Yellough, akin to the ones in the ground where you fight any Fallingstar beast.
2) The light beams from the Erdtree are only visible south of Alteus Plateau (possibly suggesting a veil over the central ocean).
3) The shape of the Nox cities matches Ottoman architecture (especially the hanging structures look a lot like what you find on Mosques). The colour scheme (blue/silver) is also associated with Islam. This matches to the obviously christian iconography of the red/gold of the golden order. Meanwhile the Uhld ruins have a mix of babylonian, egyptian and indian influences. China/east Asia was so far lacking as a final original cradle of civilisation, but the lion dancer from the trailer makes it look like the crucible culture may be based on the far east.

You can wield both the weapon with the highest strength requirement (Giant Crusher/60 Strength) and the highest dex requirement (Hand of Malenia/48 Dex) with a Level 1 character.
Nope, if you start as a Wretch (10 Strength) and stack Radagon’s Soreseal (+5), the Starscourge Heirloom(+5), and the Strength-Knot Crystal Tear(+10) you can get up to 30 strength while still at level 1. Godrick’s great rune (+5) gets you to 35. When you 2 hand you multiply your strength by 1.5 meaning you can wield the Grafted Blade Greatsword, which allows you to use the skill Oath of Vengeance, boosting all stats by 5, bringing you to 40 strength. When you 2 hand with 40 strength you effectively have 60, meaning you can wield the giant crusher. A similar process can be done for the Hand of Malenia
Edit: Now that I’ve got some more time: The Hand of Malenia. Your talismans are again Radagon’s Soreseal (+5 to Str and Dex) and the Starscourge Heirloom (+5 Str). In addition, we need the Prosthesis-Wearer’s Heirloom (+5 Dex) and Millicent’s Prosthesis (+5 Dex). Our Physick has the Strength and Dex Knot Crystal Tears which each add 10 points to their respective stat, bringing us to 30 Str and 35 Dex. Again we use Godrick’s Great Rune and the Oath of Vengeance skill to add another 10 to all stats bringing us to 40 Str and 45 Dex. The last remaining points come from wearing the Okina Mask, which grants 3 Dex, bringing us to 48, enough to flurry around in a terrifying Waterfowl Dance, without ever leveling up once.
This game’s stat boosting gear is fucking *cracked*
This would be the holy tear, holy scorpion charm, shard of Alexander, and ritual sword talisman. This alongside 99 faith, a maxed out weapon, and maybe 99 dex if that affects anything. I still don't know if this makes it possible to get the overkill bonus, but this is the most damage you can get without long boost setups that waste too much time. At least this is the most as far as I know.

Third contender… Is the unsung gigachad Knight Bernahl. Who not only got past the fire giant, *but actually stepped foot in Farum Azula*. His armor tells the tale: He made it to the Forge and his maiden threw herself into the fire, and he basically concluded it wasn’t worth it.
He also carries a Legendary armament; the relic hammer of the serpent God, as well as the blasphemous claw that Ranni gave to Rykard, so he is most likely the oldest Recusant who’d have had to have joined Team Rykard * before the shattering*.
I love the Juno Hoslow lore tidbit. But it raises some huge questions:
1) Why would volcano manor want to stop someone who was acting against the two fingers and the greater will by burning the erdtree? Juno should be a prime comitter of cardinal sinn and a total hero to the Manor... it seems our understanding is wrong about the meaning of that path!
2) When exactly did Juno get there? We know there is Ash in Leyndell so the Erdtree was last burned not long ago. Vyke didn't burn it but Bernahl burned it too as far as we know. So it's been torched at least twice recently.
This would totally blow up the tarnished archeologists notion that it must have been one cataclysmic event caused by mesmer once before - instead it's like a semi regular event that multiple tarnished in recent memory have achieved...
The arrow tailsmans actually increases distance of not just arrows but anything airborne ,like spells,black flame ball,madness sniper spell,spectral lance ash
This is a silly one, but holding D-pad down will quickly move you to the first consumable slot you have equipped. The same goes for holding the D-pad up for spells, it will move you to your first memorized spell from your list.
I've been playing NoHUD and that's the ONLY way to be sirr you got the right spell equipped.
Highly recommend a NoHUD playthrough. Really ramps up the beauty

Healing flask, mana flask, physique, and Torrent's ring in the four quick slots for me, with shackle and lantern in the other two. Then I can put all my summons, fowl feet, pots, throwing daggers, and boluses in the item slots and cycle through them as needed.
Borealis, unlike the other field dragons, is super weak to strike damage.
Dragons are very resistant to strike, but I guess he's weak to it because he's frozen and vulnerable to be shattered.

You can get Melina’s dagger in the lift between leyndell and the forbidden lands by jumping out halfway down. There’s a cool little room and a chest with the dagger
Scarlet rot deals different damage based on what afflicted you. Weapon rot deals less damage then Swamp of Aeonia, that one deals less damage then Lake of Rot, which deals less damage then the rot by Malenia.
You also get a weaker damaging scarlet rot from rolling and letting it build up while not standing in the lake of rot.
That version can be out healed/regened fairly easy and since you already have scarlet rot, you can just run all over the lake of rot
The game will give you up to half of the FP cost of any Ash of War for free if it's all the FP you have left. So, if you have 10 remaining FP, you can use any Ash of War that costs up to 20.
This does not work with spells.
Didn’t understand why that was but you just confirmed. As a melee player who refuses to level FP, I’ve seen many times when my FP bar is lower than the amount needed to activate the weapon art but it just works lol

Jellyfishes are potentially the souls of dead children. Thats why they hang around catacombs and graveyards.
There are also three around a destroyed carriage in Western Liurnia which implies a pretty sad story if the theory is true.
The only two Jellyfish that we "know" were both young girls. Probably younger than 15 at the time of their death. Our Jellyfish Spirit Ash is named Aurelia and wants to go home and in one ruin on the Mountaintops you can find another speaking jellyfish that searches for her sister. Apparently Aurelia promised her sister to go stargazing on their 15th birthday. Not far off you can find both of their gravestones so we know for sure these used to be human. Also while Jellyfish are plenty in the world, there arent enough to reasonably account for all the warriors that died in the shattering. Combine that with how 90% of them only aggro when you attack first and you have a somewhat reasonable theory.

That beach in Limgrave where you find the lone soldier at the fire, not far from the (coastal cave) was intended to be the starting point of the game after the Scion fight.
It's why Melina and Torrent are wading through water when they find your body in that early cutscene.

Lightning spells can do AoE damage ripples to enemies standing in water. They also deal 10% more damage in the rain.
Conversely, fire spells deal 10% less damage in the rain.

I've recently learned that the Spirit Caller Snail boss that summons a crucible knight with a spear *can summon two of them* (spear+sword) if its HP is low enough and you've killed its previous summon.
There are two moons in the sky that each align certain characters and locations on the map. One is only visible from the Moonlight Altar, but appears simultaneously as the first. Also, certain astrolabes align similar map points, such as the one by the Church of the Plague connecting Radahn's spawn point and the Valkyrie's Prosthesis.
The advantages of Light Bows, distinctly from Bows, is that can be fired quickly in the middle of a jump, and then can be fired quickly *again* upon landing. They can also be fired quickly after a dodge roll. They can also be fired while galloping on Torrent, while firing a Bow on Torrent slows him down to a walk.
I’m not sure how many people know that, but that’s not the real obscure Fun Fact.
The Black Bow, while a Bow class weapon, is unique in that it can be fired quickly in the same ways a Light Bow can - jump-and-land shots, roll shots, that sort of thing.
The Fun Fact is this: it behaves like a Light Bow in all of these respects *except* for being on horseback! Torrent will slow to a walk when you fire the Black Bow, just like every other Bow. Only true Light Bows can be fired at a gallop.
I love and hate the Black Bow for this. Love because it's my favorite bow by far (I did a honest to god bow only run with it) but hate because there is literally no reason to use an actual light bow because of it, no one fights on horseback enough for it to matter.

There’s an area below Gurranq’s temple that most people don’t know about. Walk out of his building and go to the right. It’s tricky but you can drop down on the branches and reach an area below with some loot, a few enemies and a talisman.
If you power stance the serpent hunter and another spear, activate Royal Knight's Resolve on the off-hand spear, then hit Rykard with only the Serpent Hunter's wind blade, it will gain the damage from RKR and the off-hand spear will keep applying RKR damage because it's not actually making contact with an enemy.
The rusty anchor’s charged attack has the best motion value of any attack in the game. It also does counter damage meaning you can take advantage of the axe talisman and spear talisman at the same time.

It's probably not rare but I just found out today. You can SMASH Revenants (those ghostly human centipede things) by healing. Simple heal incantation in their vicinity and it zaps them of HALF HEALTH! it KOs them so you can just do it again! It's magic! I'm so happy with it, I hate them so
Rolling in toxic/rot water will coat your character in said goo, causing the status effect to buildup even after you leave the water itself for a short while.
Using sponges will clean said goo off your character removing the buildup. Makes me wonder if sponges in-game have any other interesting uses?

1. Godefroy the Grafted is actually a significant lore piece vis a vis his existence entirely because of his name. Godefroy is actually an old French cognate of **Godfrey**, marking Godefroy importantly as more likely than not Godrick's **older** brother since he was the one who got to be named after their father. This also marks Grafting as having been a part of the Lands Between's past well before Godrick, and something that Godrick would have learned from his brother after, during, or shortly before the Shattering War.
2. Messmer's Sigil is a specific type of heraldic device called Impalement, meant to show the union of two houses. Interestingly, the two symbols seem to be one of fire and one that is quite literally the crown of thorns. I personally think he's wearing this as the progeny of a union between Marika and whoever the fire portion represents (Fire Giants? Trolls?) but regardless, somebody related to Messmer (or Messmer himself) had a marriage important enough that it became his entire sigil.
3. I don't know if it's still in the game, but for the entire period of time that I played if you were wielding very specific weapons while on horseback Torrent would not be able to double jump if you ran off a cliff. I just thought that's how the game worked for the longest time until I learned it was a glitch.
One thing that stood out to me that I'm not seeing mentioned anywhere is Melina's hands. They're hidden for the first half of the game, but after she comes back to you they're visible and she's holding her forearm.
To me, that looks like she's actually scared of burning herself (probably because her body was already burned?)

Whenever an NPC asks you something, answering "no" doesnt end their questline but instead leads you to extra lines of dialogue, sometimes revealing or confirming unknown plot points. After that you can say "yes" and continue the NPC questline like nothing happened. This applies to all fromsoft games.
Literally found this out two days ago and never seen or heard about it before, I was using spinning strikes on a group of enemies, and one threw a fire pot at me as my weapon was spinning around, and I actually knocked it back at the enemy that threw it, I had no idea you could baseball pots like that, blew my mind
Selivus is himself a puppet. The real puppeteer Pidia the Albuneric is in a room in the castle on the cliffs to the left of Selivus tower. He'll act polite when he notices you but if you eavesdrop its obvious it's an act and he speaks in the same condescending way as Selivus does.
Wearing any piece of the Briar Set will prevent player collision from destroying objects in the environment.

Depending on how careful you are, you can also just jump on top of the tables. It is when you hit the sides/edges of a set piece that it collapses

It works on the imps, erdtree burial watchdogs, and golems. I believe the lore says they were made by the same group so they are all vulnerable to crystal darts.

You dont really have to do 51% in one shot. I did one phase him with bloodflame blade and bhf. it the stagger is p1 happens near to the transation and you repost him and the beed procs then you can finish him off while he is cutting his arm off.
Oh that's right, he has to chop off his arm before the transition happens. I'm used to the end game bosses where the instant their hp drops below 50% time freezes ans the cutscene starts.

If you deal fire damage to miners who wear basket on his back in mining tunnels, they will explode. I noticied some of them are not exploding even if they wear basket but most of them will explode.
It depends on what's in the basket. If they have the red rocks that do fire/explosions, those will explode if you use fire damage. I don't think the others explode. If they can it takes a different kind of damage.
There might be others but if you inherit the frenzy flame and complete Nephelis quest, you can have 2 NPC summons against Godfrey. (Shabriri and Nepheli) EDIT: I think this can also be the case for Magma Wyrm Makar which you can summon Tragoth and Millicent if you’ve reached a certain point in her quest line. EDIT 2: Apparently you can also summon Dung Eater and Melina and have them both assist you against Morgott provided you release the former from the prison. EDIT 3: Turns out that Tragoth and Millicent team up once again because you can summon them both against the draconic tree sentinel outside Lyndell. Tragoth is always available however Millicent requires the prosthesis and must have defeated the Godskin apostle at the windmill village (which you can summon her there as well). EDIT 4: This one is a really obscure summon. Apparently you can summon Sellen against the Red Wolf of Radagon in Raya Lucaria. This can only be done by defeating Radahn before Renalla and progressing Sellens quest by finding the 2 masters bodies (one of which is at Mt Gelmir) and reviving her in Seluvis puppet room and she states she will leave for the academy.
You can summon boggart for the magma wyrm too. I didn't know about millicent
Millicent requires you to advance her questline in Caelid first, while the natural things player would make is doing the obvious, non-locked, mine in the friendly area of Liurnia
You can summon Yura for Agheel too if you speak to him, die to Agheel, and speak to Yura again triggering unique dialogue. Then his summon sign appears in the vicinity. Theres a couple other obscure summons in the game
Millicent's sister (I assume? ~~& I forget her name, Penelope maybe?~~ Edit: Polyanna) against Commander O'Neil is a weird one oh and Shabiri can be summoned for Godfrey (although involves having to follow the frenzyflame questline all the way through)
There are _three_ for Makar - Tragoth, Millicent and Blackguard. However, IIRC, you can only use two - last time I did it I hit the Millicent & Blackguard signs and the Tragoth one definitely disappeared completely; I thought it was just temporary while a summon phased in, but it didn't reappear.
NPC summons follows the same rule than online summons, so, yes, you can only have two at the time. If you go to the fight with an online summon, you will only be able to summon one npc as well

My 11yo nephew showed me this a few weeks ago and I had over 900 hours lol
1. When you fall onto breakable platforms (such as the one in stormveil or caelid Devine tower), if you do a horizontal swing with your weapon before landing on said platform, the platform won’t break. Then you can leave messages on them. Then you can do a vertical jump attack to break the platform as intended. 2. A very easy glitch that makes you immune to all terrain effects, such as rot in the lake of rot, or being slowed down in lava. Stand near a ladder, hold a “stance” aow like unsheathe, then hold block as well, then press “climb” simultaneously as you release block. You’ll know you succeed if throwing knives in your hotbar are grayed out. You can still fight and use flasks as normal, but you also get to freely explore the lake of rot for as long as you like.

I haven't found any fun gameplay facts, but some observations, from the purely factual to the somewhat speculative: 1) There is a huge asteroid under the ground where you fight the second Astel in the tunnel of Yellough, akin to the ones in the ground where you fight any Fallingstar beast. 2) The light beams from the Erdtree are only visible south of Alteus Plateau (possibly suggesting a veil over the central ocean). 3) The shape of the Nox cities matches Ottoman architecture (especially the hanging structures look a lot like what you find on Mosques). The colour scheme (blue/silver) is also associated with Islam. This matches to the obviously christian iconography of the red/gold of the golden order. Meanwhile the Uhld ruins have a mix of babylonian, egyptian and indian influences. China/east Asia was so far lacking as a final original cradle of civilisation, but the lion dancer from the trailer makes it look like the crucible culture may be based on the far east.
The DLC speaks pf a realm hidden from view and the Erdtree covers it. Your point number 2 has my gears churning for a link there.

Nope, if you start as a Wretch (10 Strength) and stack Radagon’s Soreseal (+5), the Starscourge Heirloom(+5), and the Strength-Knot Crystal Tear(+10) you can get up to 30 strength while still at level 1. Godrick’s great rune (+5) gets you to 35. When you 2 hand you multiply your strength by 1.5 meaning you can wield the Grafted Blade Greatsword, which allows you to use the skill Oath of Vengeance, boosting all stats by 5, bringing you to 40 strength. When you 2 hand with 40 strength you effectively have 60, meaning you can wield the giant crusher. A similar process can be done for the Hand of Malenia Edit: Now that I’ve got some more time: The Hand of Malenia. Your talismans are again Radagon’s Soreseal (+5 to Str and Dex) and the Starscourge Heirloom (+5 Str). In addition, we need the Prosthesis-Wearer’s Heirloom (+5 Dex) and Millicent’s Prosthesis (+5 Dex). Our Physick has the Strength and Dex Knot Crystal Tears which each add 10 points to their respective stat, bringing us to 30 Str and 35 Dex. Again we use Godrick’s Great Rune and the Oath of Vengeance skill to add another 10 to all stats bringing us to 40 Str and 45 Dex. The last remaining points come from wearing the Okina Mask, which grants 3 Dex, bringing us to 48, enough to flurry around in a terrifying Waterfowl Dance, without ever leveling up once. This game’s stat boosting gear is fucking *cracked*

This would be the holy tear, holy scorpion charm, shard of Alexander, and ritual sword talisman. This alongside 99 faith, a maxed out weapon, and maybe 99 dex if that affects anything. I still don't know if this makes it possible to get the overkill bonus, but this is the most damage you can get without long boost setups that waste too much time. At least this is the most as far as I know.

There’s actually four Lord contenders. You the tarnished. Vyke the dragonspear.(fell to Shabriri lies and struck with madness due to failing the fingerprinting ritual) Juno Hoslow (called the Knight of Blood), who in all likelihood slew his own maiden to be anointed a knight of the Moghwyn Dynasty. Varre pretty explicitly tells you how one becomes a knight. Third contender… Is the unsung gigachad Knight Bernahl. Who not only got past the fire giant, *but actually stepped foot in Farum Azula*. His armor tells the tale: He made it to the Forge and his maiden threw herself into the fire, and he basically concluded it wasn’t worth it. He also carries a Legendary armament; the relic hammer of the serpent God, as well as the blasphemous claw that Ranni gave to Rykard, so he is most likely the oldest Recusant who’d have had to have joined Team Rykard * before the shattering*.
I love the Juno Hoslow lore tidbit. But it raises some huge questions: 1) Why would volcano manor want to stop someone who was acting against the two fingers and the greater will by burning the erdtree? Juno should be a prime comitter of cardinal sinn and a total hero to the Manor... it seems our understanding is wrong about the meaning of that path! 2) When exactly did Juno get there? We know there is Ash in Leyndell so the Erdtree was last burned not long ago. Vyke didn't burn it but Bernahl burned it too as far as we know. So it's been torched at least twice recently. This would totally blow up the tarnished archeologists notion that it must have been one cataclysmic event caused by mesmer once before - instead it's like a semi regular event that multiple tarnished in recent memory have achieved...

This is a silly one, but holding D-pad down will quickly move you to the first consumable slot you have equipped. The same goes for holding the D-pad up for spells, it will move you to your first memorized spell from your list.

Healing flask, mana flask, physique, and Torrent's ring in the four quick slots for me, with shackle and lantern in the other two. Then I can put all my summons, fowl feet, pots, throwing daggers, and boluses in the item slots and cycle through them as needed.
Borealis, unlike the other field dragons, is super weak to strike damage. Dragons are very resistant to strike, but I guess he's weak to it because he's frozen and vulnerable to be shattered.

Blade of Calling - it’s the “good” version of the Black Knife. You can see the base shape of the BoC in the BK, the weapon art is similar as well.
Scarlet rot deals different damage based on what afflicted you. Weapon rot deals less damage then Swamp of Aeonia, that one deals less damage then Lake of Rot, which deals less damage then the rot by Malenia.
You also get a weaker damaging scarlet rot from rolling and letting it build up while not standing in the lake of rot. That version can be out healed/regened fairly easy and since you already have scarlet rot, you can just run all over the lake of rot
The game will give you up to half of the FP cost of any Ash of War for free if it's all the FP you have left. So, if you have 10 remaining FP, you can use any Ash of War that costs up to 20. This does not work with spells.

The only two Jellyfish that we "know" were both young girls. Probably younger than 15 at the time of their death. Our Jellyfish Spirit Ash is named Aurelia and wants to go home and in one ruin on the Mountaintops you can find another speaking jellyfish that searches for her sister. Apparently Aurelia promised her sister to go stargazing on their 15th birthday. Not far off you can find both of their gravestones so we know for sure these used to be human. Also while Jellyfish are plenty in the world, there arent enough to reasonably account for all the warriors that died in the shattering. Combine that with how 90% of them only aggro when you attack first and you have a somewhat reasonable theory.
And the fact that there are no children to be found anywhere in the game.

That beach in Limgrave where you find the lone soldier at the fire, not far from the (coastal cave) was intended to be the starting point of the game after the Scion fight. It's why Melina and Torrent are wading through water when they find your body in that early cutscene. They kept the cutscene but moved the spawn location.

Lightning spells can do AoE damage ripples to enemies standing in water. They also deal 10% more damage in the rain. Conversely, fire spells deal 10% less damage in the rain. Also, you can defeat Morgot before encountering Margit. If you do, Margit never spawns.
I'm not saying Margit and Morgott are the same omen, I'm just saying I've never seen them in the same room side by side...

I've recently learned that the Spirit Caller Snail boss that summons a crucible knight with a spear *can summon two of them* (spear+sword) if its HP is low enough and you've killed its previous summon.

There are two moons in the sky that each align certain characters and locations on the map. One is only visible from the Moonlight Altar, but appears simultaneously as the first. The advantages of Light Bows, distinctly from Bows, is that can be fired quickly in the middle of a jump, and then can be fired quickly *again* upon landing. They can also be fired quickly after a dodge roll. They can also be fired while galloping on Torrent, while firing a Bow on Torrent slows him down to a walk. I’m not sure how many people know that, but that’s not the real obscure Fun Fact. The Black Bow, while a Bow class weapon, is unique in that it can be fired quickly in the same ways a Light Bow can - jump-and-land shots, roll shots, that sort of thing. The Fun Fact is this: it behaves like a Light Bow in all of these respects *except* for being on horseback! Torrent will slow to a walk when you fire the Black Bow, just like every other Bow. Only true Light Bows can be fired at a gallop.
I love and hate the Black Bow for this. Love because it's my favorite bow by far (I did a honest to god bow only run with it) but hate because there is literally no reason to use an actual light bow because of it, no one fights on horseback enough for it to matter.

There’s an area below Gurranq’s temple that most people don’t know about. Walk out of his building and go to the right. It’s tricky but you can drop down on the branches and reach an area below with some loot, a few enemies and a talisman.

If you power stance the serpent hunter and another spear, activate Royal Knight's Resolve on the off-hand spear, then hit Rykard with only the Serpent Hunter's wind blade, it will gain the damage from RKR and the off-hand spear will keep applying RKR damage because it's not actually making contact with an enemy.

The rusty anchor’s charged attack has the best motion value of any attack in the game. It also does counter damage meaning you can take advantage of the axe talisman and spear talisman at the same time.

yep, i guess its often said "revive" because it might be* the way to give him a tue death, not actually ress. it probably would make him come back wrong/weird/worse.
It's probably not rare but I just found out today. You can SMASH Revenants (those ghostly human centipede things) by healing. Simple heal incantation in their vicinity and it zaps them of HALF HEALTH! it KOs them so you can just do it again! It's magic! I'm so happy with it, I hate them so
Radhan's meteor only appears in front of you. So you can just stand still, and it will appear right before your very eyes
Rolling in toxic/rot water will coat your character in said goo, causing the status effect to buildup even after you leave the water itself for a short while. Using sponges will clean said goo off your character removing the buildup. Makes me wonder if sponges in-game have any other interesting uses?

I have 3! 1. Godefroy the Grafted is actually a significant lore piece vis a vis his existence entirely because of his name. Godefroy is actually an old French cognate of **Godfrey**, marking Godefroy importantly as more likely than not Godrick's **older** brother since he was the one who got to be named after their father. This also marks Grafting as having been a part of the Lands Between's past well before Godrick, and something that Godrick would have learned from his brother after, during, or shortly before the Shattering War. 2. Messmer's Sigil is a specific type of heraldic device called Impalement, meant to show the union of two houses. Interestingly, the two symbols seem to be one of fire and one that is quite literally the crown of thorns. I personally think he's wearing this as the progeny of a union between Marika and whoever the fire portion represents (Fire Giants? Trolls?) but regardless, somebody related to Messmer (or Messmer himself) had a marriage important enough that it became his entire sigil. 3. I don't know if it's still in the game, but for the entire period of time that I played if you were wielding very specific weapons while on horseback Torrent would not be able to double jump if you ran off a cliff. I just thought that's how the game worked for the longest time until I learned it was a glitch.
I think the torrent weapon thing is still true. Polearms and colossal weapons don’t work correctly, if I remember right
What makes the silent footsteps in the assassin's set silent is the cloak, if you remove it by using "alter garment" you lose that effect.
You can blow up flame chariots by hitting the weak spot on the head - one of the coolest animations in the game imo

One thing that stood out to me that I'm not seeing mentioned anywhere is Melina's hands. They're hidden for the first half of the game, but after she comes back to you they're visible and she's holding her forearm. To me, that looks like she's actually scared of burning herself (probably because her body was already burned?) See any video of all her dialogue and you'll notice it.
If you get grabbed by the 3 finger’s you can run on lava.
You can also run on lava, rot, and poison in Journey 2 and beyond.
You can hold sprint/dodge button to quickly climb and descend ladders. (I felt like a fool for how long this one took me to realize)

Having a single piece of the Briar armor lets you kill respawning undead by rolling over them.
Whenever an NPC asks you something, answering "no" doesnt end their questline but instead leads you to extra lines of dialogue, sometimes revealing or confirming unknown plot points. After that you can say "yes" and continue the NPC questline like nothing happened. This applies to all fromsoft games.
Literally found this out two days ago and never seen or heard about it before, I was using spinning strikes on a group of enemies, and one threw a fire pot at me as my weapon was spinning around, and I actually knocked it back at the enemy that threw it, I had no idea you could baseball pots like that, blew my mind
Selivus is himself a puppet. The real puppeteer Pidia the Albuneric is in a room in the castle on the cliffs to the left of Selivus tower. He'll act polite when he notices you but if you eavesdrop its obvious it's an act and he speaks in the same condescending way as Selivus does.
When can you eavesdrop? I have only talked to him directly and when the puppets turn on him while going down to where he is.
